For anyone having trouble with the straps like I was, I'm doing 5 dc, chain 2, turn, alternate fpdc and bpdc for 5 not 4 (so 3 fpdc and 2 bpdc) and the result looks better imo. With 4, one side isnt as clean and the strap feels weaker (to me).

In the written pattern you started decreasing at row 39 which doesn't match your video. I'll just go back and start at 29 and see what happens. Thank you for everything <3

THIS!!! to preface i don’t have autism, but i am neurodivergent & some of my traits are closely related to those with autism. in so many dating scenarios i’ve been seen as someone who will bring healing to the other, or i’ve been seen as a concept where ive literally been told to my face that i remind them of a fairy or or that i’m mysterious when in actuality they’ve only taken me at face value & ended the effort there. it’s so frustrating because as soon as they see the not so “fun” traits i would get ghosted or ignored one way or another. it wasn’t until a little over a year after the last time i dated anyone to recognize this trope & how it’s affected the way i’m treated when it comes to not only relationships but friendships as well. it’s an incredibly dehumanizing realization.

Thank you for making this video! I'm in the process of pursuing a diagnosis at 19 and it's nice to hear a late-diagnosed (and poc) person's experience that I can relate to. Comparing and contrasting your experience with my more repressed upbringing from childhood trauma has given me some insight into how i acted as a child. I very much still related to the girly special interests being dismissed, my parents thinking I was in my own world when i wasn't responding, and arranging things as a child, but other behaviours were often berated out of me or I was told I was just doing them for attention, so it can be hard to pinpoint specific memories of autistic behaviour. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

I never realized how much I actually just "hung out" at the mall that was within walking distance of my old apartment until I stopped going there/business started dying down and a lot of stores closed 😭 I would literally spend hours there without spending a dime, using the public wifi that was available, doing rounds through the shops to see if I could get any free samples (there were a few candy shops), or just window shopping and people watching. It was actually kind of nice....

Amazing video !! I was often called "quirky" or a "free spirit" before I transitioned; I was very feminine so my neurodivergent traits were passed off as me being young (infantilism) or cutesy even if I did things that were considered "rude". I genuinely identified with the "MPDG" stereotype. After I transitioned in college, those same traits are seen as weird, nonsensical, even creepy (literally just the manic part of the MPDG...) because I present as more masculine. Unmasking has been a difficult process but I feel more like myself despite that. <3
