Sit down there & chill is real af, some girls don’t have hobbies that’s the problem.

We don’t have walking culture because there’s no clear paths for walking on our roads ( infrastructure problems obviously) & the weather can be very harsh too!

Well done guys. 👏🏽 Enjoyed today's episode. As a woman, it would be great to hear these things from the men in our lives. You only hear men say it to each other, or on platforms like this. Very few communicate enough for their women to understand & of course there is also tolerance from both parties, because mistakes are inevitable.

In regard to name as for Muslims, the wife’s name is being kept religious & Northern wise… All Children generally all over the world keeps their Father’s name except for tradition, agreement or absent father from birth that some children keeps their mother’s name. In regards to this name I stumbled on a family aside the Jolie-Pitt combination, this family the husband changed his name as well way before their child came. I THINK maybe due to stress in changing documents he decides to do that or maybe because he loves the name (Heard a man take his wife’s family name because he likes it) or maybe due to the name she had made that time in her field before marriage (she married at 39/40). Well to each their own. Love Murewa’s views and how he perceives & interprets his opinions.

Regarding the parent and child chat I think it helps to operate from a place of grace and understand that our parents are also doing life for the first time just as we are. So we are all doing the best we can based on the knowledge and experiences we have but it always coming from a place of love. As a first born girl child I have had to forgive alot of things I haven’t even spoken about to my parents. As we get older it becames alot more easier to have fluid discussions with our parents but personal growth and accountability goes a long way in healing childhood wounds. All the best and shout out to everyone who is showing up for themselves.

I had a good laugh. I think you guys explored this ‘change of name’ from a very narrow perspective. I got married at age 35 after living and working in Nigeria, Germany, Finland and the US. I have pension benefits in all four countries, bank accounts and several investments in my maiden name. You now expect me to start the stressful process of changing the name in my records in all 4 countries. I laugh in Chinese😬 Anyway, I married a man who has similar views, anything stressful must have an easier alternative. Will my kids take their father’s surname?Yes. Will I be changing my name? No. Are we happy? hell yes🎉❤ Are we ever gonna live in Nigeria? hell no

I personally think the idea of paying bride price is rubbish! I've seen men use that as an excuse to maltreat their wives just because they paid their bride price. So me as a woman, i really wish bride price doesnt exist. Let the two families just exchange gifts to symbolize their respect and gratitude for each other.
