      Frank Maiorano sorry for the late reply. I'm in Southern California. Mechanics will do it but you must sign a form stating that you understand it's for off road or track use only. Most everyone who modifies their exhaust keep their stock pipes handy in the event of a "fixit ticket"violation.

    gosh that bike just radiates coolness! is the arrow exhaust alot louder than the stock one? the exhaust note seems lovely but i just dont want it to be too loud. i'm not a fan of waking up the entiere neighbourhood in the morning and i know that both agostini and mistral Silencers seem obnoxiously loud.

    • @romanr.3827
      @romanr.3827 9 лет назад

      Light Yagami Thanks for watching. The Arrows are definitely quieter than the Mistrals. They are also louder than stock but very neighborhood friendly. I would suggest cutting the baffles to get a better sound as well. I cut out the baffles on mine and as you can hear, they are not loud at all.Ride safe.

    • @romanr.3827
      @romanr.3827 9 лет назад

      Thank you for watching. Unfortunately, the cheap Sony setup I was using (Sony ECM-CS3 Tie Clip Microphone; $20) turned out to be a fail for this application, as anything louder than normal voice conversations will blow them out easily - I went through 3 before giving up on them. The home-made wind diffuser was basically black faux fur fabric from the fabric store I picked up for about $1 a ft. and wrapped a portion of it around the mic and secured it with a product called "Shoe Goo." Worked really well before the mic blew. I am currently on the hunt for a better quality mic to pick up higher decibels (around 130db) for less than $20 if possible. If you should know of such a mic, that info would be much appreciated.

    how tall are you? I am looking into the v7 and cannot decide between the racer and stone. I'm also 6'3 and concerned if I'm too tall for it.

    • @romanr.3827
      @romanr.3827 9 лет назад

      Thank you for watching. I am a tad over 5'9". When standing over the bike, the heel of my boot is about an inch or two off the ground because the bike's stance is a bit high for me and may be an ideal height for someone a bit taller. However, I have read reviews of riders over 6' feeling a bit cramped on it (with some actually liking the compactness.) My best advice would be to try one on for size to get a good feel for what to expect, comfort-wise. Ride safe!

    I love the sound of the bike! I bought the V7 Stone 3 months ago and its a blast. What exhaust are you using and if so have you noticed any performance gains from it?

    • @romanr.3827
      @romanr.3827 10 лет назад

      Thanks for watching. I am using the Arrow exhaust system made for the V7. It's listed in Moto Guzzi's accessories catalog. Unfortunately, it came installed with the bike when purchased so I was unable to see what the stock ones felt like. But I'm told midrange passing power is improved over stock. Also, one last tricky thing is that if you do consider this system, you may want to cut out the baffle inside mufflers to improve sound quality. It's an easy job with the right tools. Hope this helps. Ride safe!

    this is a great video! i see here that you are using a chest mount for your gopro but what brackets are you using with it to get that much lift over the tank? also how are you able to reduce the camera shake to almost nothing?

    • @romanr.3827
      @romanr.3827 10 лет назад

      Thanks for watching. I am using the standard J-hook mount the harness came with. However, there are a few degrees of tilt backwards and forwards on the hook mount to allow the camera to adjust the shooting angle down or up. I happen to have it tilted up to shoot above the tach and speedo. The Gopro 3 does have some vibration reduction built into it, to automatically take out any vibration, and also, this road is very smooth which helps as well.
