I have my cdl b , I have to get my passenger endorsement, my question is do I have to do dmv road test again or just with mta ? I hear 5 or 7 days ?
You will have to do the DMV road test again. If you do the DMV road test with a local driving school, I would also recommend getting the School Bus "S" Endorsement, since the vehicles they use are former School Buses. If you do the DMV road test with the MTA, which will take place after the initial 7 to 10 Day Training Session, you are only eligible to receive the "P" Endorsement since they use Transit Buses.

Nothing sounded worse than Flxible Metros when going down the street! The Detroit Diesel engine sounded wonderful, but the bus sounded like it was gonna fall apart! It didn't though. Lol

Training is the fun part so enjoy it....once out on your own THE HARDEST PART OF BEING A BUS OPERATOR WILL BE YOUR CO-WORKERS believe it or not. If they are your leader on a route they may leave late on purpose causing you have to pick up everyone at the first stop, Or they may DRAG THEIR FEET in front of you so when you pass them now they are riding your tail while you pick up customers. Get used to the fact your coworkers will be scumbags on the route. If you can get passed the stress of this......then we can all say WELCOME TO NEW YORK CITY TRANSIT

Do you know how I can schedule the MTA bud road test? I just got my CDL permit.
Once you get through Livingston Street and sent to Zerega, they will do it for you. In the meantime, if you want to schedule a road test with the permit you have, go to your local CDL driving school. They will help you.

4:28 I remember riding this one as a test train back in the 1990s. They had an automated announcement on the train that would explain to you about the technology and the features of the train while you were riding Express between 59th Street Columbus circle and 125th Street in Harlem (For there were no local stops in between and this gave plenty of time to explain).

15 to 20 mins if I remember correctly,they have you do everything you learned.

You're welcome. Keep in mind that this is ideally for those who have a Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) and are going for their road test to obtain the Commercial Drivers License (CDL). However, if you find this helpful for the initial 10-Day Training Session, especially on Days 4 and 7 when you have to do a complete pre-trip, then good for you!
Good thing i have a CDL i don have to worry about that mta just want you to know if you can drive with the years of experience that says on your license you dont have to perform the air brakes but you have to tell them what you know about the air brakes i did my permit cdl on a school charter bus n its the same thing as the charter mta coach bus thats the exam ive applied too

If you already have your class b license When you qualified after day 7,8,or 10 your firts week is qualification week they show you how they want you to pre trip n drive the bus you have to be able to drive the bus how they want you to drive the bus in order to qualify) then you do G.I then line training but you have to qualify though!! Its process !

If you experience nah just when you come to work but they will give you an inspection form to fill out just like an ordinary school bus but if you have accidents on your record you definitely gotta do it
He was my 7 day Sup,awesome guy.He taught me alot and still use it till this day.
