This makes me so happy. I love the changes made to the words of the abduction song- gives me hope the production will live on . I’ve been listening to the original soundtrack for days and just happened on this video. Very polished performances all around. Amazing accompaniment on piano and harp. Of course Luisa is superlative!❤️😁👌
The epitome of wonderful simplicity along with enchanting piano and harp music. That is the essence of this very well directed piece. It drags in some places, but most all videos of live productions seem to do that. The entire cast is having fun, and that's what Community Theater is all about. The protagonist, Louisa, is portrayed by an actress who is clearly of professional caliber. Overall the piece holds it's age pretty well. However I would imagine some modern day teenage girls might be bewildered, possibly even offended by the gushing behavior of a mid 20th century Louisa; but I'd say all is forgiven by her great singing and acting. A most enjoyable experience.
One of the top productions of this show I've seen on RUclips. Kudos!

The plant (Aundrey II) is doing an amazing job in "feed me". That's a hard part.
I just think it's amazing how a lot of non-black people don't really know how to put soul in their voice. They try so hard to sound sweet and are just too afraid to dig down and get dirty with their vocal chords. It's just funny how some people just psychological view singing and music as something that has to always be sweet and angelic and can't be deep and soulful.

True, but they pulled it off nicely for a white casting choice.
this was absolutely amazing! I loved how Audrey still kept persistent with her accent while singing, and how Seymour had an accent but it wasnt super overpowering. Also, normally I hate when people have white urchins, but this production was just so perfect with it and not racist like most white urchins are. Also the Mr. Mushnik is one of the best ones ive ever seen, and Audrey two was amazing. Orin was PERFECT. Also great choreo. Honestly just an amazing production.

Some of the songs could have been cut but good production.
Some songs could be cut? Um first that is against the law, you perform what the writers created, royalty fees are paid for performance rights, you can't cut lines or songs. Considering its been performed around the world since 1983, think the show is pretty solid.
@@TDW8964 I've seen plenty of productions of Little Shop of Horrors, where songs have been cut (i.e Call back in the morning, Closed for renovations,) and none of the cast have been thrown in jail. Heck, I saw a highschool production of 'Into the woods' where only Act 1 was performed due to scripts and music being delivered late. Last I checked none of them are in jail either. Songs get cut from shows all the time.
