Hey Jessica, thank you so much for this episode. I honestly have listened to it 3 times in a row because I can relate to your story so much, but also because I believe God is nudging me that He wants to heal some parts of my heart as well. I have done sooo much counselling throughout my life, dealt with past trauma and whatnot, so lately I've been feeling so discouraged that I am still struggling in some core ways, or feeling like I'm regressing somehow. But when you mentioned that in your counselling session, you didn't blame anyone...you didn't blame it on your upbringing or marriage or anything, but you took ownership of it...I feel like that's where God confronted me gently. I feel this invitation from Jesus to deal with MY HEART, not my past or trauma or what not, but just really look at my heart for what it is and confront the places of deep resistance. So thank you so much for this <3 It honestly blessed me. Really hoping you share more of your story.

This is soooooo beautifully blessed! It was like piercing my heart! Life makes you so caught up in responsibilities and in work that yes you spend time with HIM still going back to your FIRST LOVE is something I am reminded today by this message! Such a good, balanced conversation about marriage. Thank you both. My husband and I were married 50 years before his death. Our marriage was worth fighting for, and I’m grateful we did. Sometimes I was fighting harder and sometimes he was the one fighting harder. I’m so grateful that we had that testimony of love and commitment for our kids and grands and great-grands to see and experience. It’s all worth it. 🙌🏻
