Welcome to Old Anvil TV! This RUclips channel is a glimpse into the world of building high-end custom cars and trucks. There are plenty of hot rod shops building vehicles at a similar level to Old Anvil Speed Shop, but none willing to pull back the curtains and show you how it's actually done.
We'll be publishing videos that aim to entertain and enlighten including project features, how-to videos, complete build series and more.

After spilling the beans on the engineering of our custom chassis, we decided to do a complete update on the rest of the build. Brandon Gerringer shows how we fabricated custom floors, massive wheel tubs to fit 24s and then shows a special delivery that just arrived.

Pretty sure expensive shocks are better suited for long travel off-road applications. I can think of a better way to spend thousands of dollars on my car
This is so cool. Ive always said I wanted Kings on my dads 71 Chevelle with his 632 pushing 1000hp all motor. Put these on Mikeys wagon!!!!
In which SEMA booth will I be able to see the King (shock) Kong (supercharger) Impalla?
Bad Ass Perfection The Crazy Old Man In The Yucatan
scary, wear face protection, not just eyes 🧟♂️
I know by the snap-on tool case you're a poor decision maker financially lol
Do you have shocks for lowered Chevy’s want something to handle corners looking at qa1 but would love to try king !
King can make shocks for pretty much any application but they do not currently have an “off the shelf” shock for classic Chevys
Is Old Anvil in the same building where Alan Bassant Racing Engines used to be?
We’re in the same shop as Fast Eddies used to be but not sure of the other you mentioned.
@@oldanvilspeedshop Thanks. It used to be an engine builder called called B.E.P. (Bessant Engineered Performance) I'm nearly sure you're in the same spot. They moved to a new spot down the street near Glassell and Walnut.
Freaking Sweet 👌
We can’t wait to try them out! Thanks for watching.
Where did you get those stand offs? Looked on there web site and can’t find them.
Always on aluminum
Bees wax?
Lucky me! 4 month later and the video is yet here! pjuh!!
Still here four months later… sooooo…
the body,,,low,, but the frame? im so lost right now
and ,,,what? lets put riller blade wheels in the fram then.. why not make the fram up higha nd the ody down low.,, not good at all..
nice work 👍
Is this aluminum or a crome bumper chopped up to customize looks killer can wait to see it mounted
It is a completely handmade aluminum bumper.
Cool, I'll just make some...👍
So you guys still welded it just like any shop would
That is sick
Have you guys considered parametric design and simulation in CAD? I use Fusion 360 to model things out like this after doing my 3D scans of the existing space and then use movement simulation to check clearance and see if it binds up at all... super handy and saves a lot of time and reduces the amount of work I have to do later.
All that sick fabrication and equipment and you still laying on the floor? No lift? Save your back, buy a lift!!
Delrin bushing close to the performance of heim? Must imagine they're louder than poly when it comes to nvh tho, no? Seems like the best between both worlds and no one talks about it? Crazy
Truly a work of art
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast
Great skills
sounds like good advice
Magnifique
Amazing!
What is this audio from????
Really impressive
How many hours in it??
Old school handy work just awesome and Beautiful
Now thats craftsmanship right there
What a calming way of thought.😊
Is that aluminum?
Yup!
@@oldanvilspeedshop I thought so, that's awesome. How much of the car will be aluminum when you're done? Ie, are you making body panels out of aluminum?
@@tonyfremontwell no reply in 8 hours MUST mean they figured out how their story ended..😂
I knew it was a 62 bumper 👍🏽
This lesson needs to be taught a lot more often, and louder.
Beautiful craftsmanship
Thank you. Much appreciated!
Thats awesome. Saw carbs and read LS.... had to check it out
Did you see pastor Larry Ragland this morning.
How they sit when gard on wheels
Just stumbled across your channel with the Impala build, looking forward to many hours of content. Cheers👌🇦🇺
I like to start with a classic car that doesn’t use spark plug wires. Or spark plugs!!!
Excellent video what’s the build cost on impala ?
I purchased msd super conductors for mine and it was worth the money. I always ran the cheapies by even my stock ford 300 ran better and the install was satisfying
This is one of the first repair jobs i did myself as a teenager learning to fix shit, highly recommend 👍
Awesome video! Simple, short, and easy to follow!
This shop is in my neighborhood. Always a ton of really cool old cars there that look great!
Thanks for the kind words!
@@oldanvilspeedshop seriously, once the kids are all raised and out of the house im definitely getting you involved on some dream project! Your work looks so awesome!
