OK I’m gonna have to tell you thank you because I’ve been wanting to upgrade my radio but I didn’t want to lose the touchscreen in my 2019 Kia Sorrento L now if you could add speakers to your third row and upload a video maybe even add an amp and a sub in the back I’d be a happy woman because then I know how to do it and add it to mine. Hello. Would you know if the bluetooth of an android head unit can be repaired? I've this thing called BC8 Android with my Hyundai Accent (2017). My issue with the system is that whenever I play songs through bluetooth (on spotify or on my local drive storage) it just stops playing after every 30 seconds of listening. All other functions work though. Is it worth the repair or should I just get a new android unit?

I did this yesterday for a friends Hyundai, after doing same unit in my Chrysler a while back. Difference is that Chrysler has CANBUS, 2014 Hyundai doesn't. This vid confirmed a few things for me. I got the same plug with the unit that was nothing like the cars fit. BUT car had aftermarket which had adapter plugs; so I used those. But the existing plug/loom that came with unit gave me a clue to how steering wheel controls work. That plug has "key 2" (second SWC) lead missing at Android end, and at other end, it has "key 1" next to a ground wire. Hyundai's of this era have resistive SWC switches. These Chinese units have SWC 1 and 2. 1 is for basic controls (up/dn vol, up/down seek, and mode) and SW2 is for fancier cars that have bluetooth/hands free etc. So connecting up SW1 and SW2 to the SWC has no cct/return, hence why the plug I got omits SW2. On the factory wiring diagram, it shows SW1 from radio going to SWC. Second connection from basic SWC then returns to radio and is labelled "SWC ground" - it connects to a ground inside the radio, and completes the cct. So (on plug 2) I wired "key 1" to pin 4 (factory manual calls it "remote control sig") and the return at pin 17 ("remote control ground") - perfect.

I'm confused on the back-up camera wiring. I get you have to reduce the voltage down to 6 volts, but why did you say you ran a red wire back to the camera? Did you replace your camera? Why wouldn't you just be using camera signal from the factory wiring?

Great video! I'm about to order one myself to install in my kia, but how did you exactly connect the original car's camera to the new unit??

Regarding the backup camera. Have you tried any of the dash cam apps to record the backup camera?

Cool tech but it looks terrible sticking out that far from the dash. The viewing angle from the driver's point of view is not great. I have a 2016 Kia Sorento but I'll be sticking with upgrading to a 6-7" screen mounted into the double din. Nothing against the install though.

I have the same wiring harness everything looks the same radio works but I don't have the interface the one Crutchfield sold me doesn't work but I wanna try the one you listed perhaps? i got a sorento 2019 installed 10 inch android steady slim headunit last year, but i got some issues?! the ahop installed it without using that canbas decoder!! he shredded some cables to find witch wire that deliver the video singal to radio and hook it up to the reverse wire i lost that way 2 things to be displayed in my monitor 1 is i can't change the language of cluster! 2 I can't view the reverse warning ⚠️ arrows that used to be displayed by my factory radio monitor but i still hear the warning. if someone has knowledge about the canbas benefits for my car I'd be thankful . thank you for sharing is your experience 🙂
