I will be posting videos from 16mm film my father took in the 1950's on this channel.

Afghanistan is where it wants to be. 8th century . Take out the mechanical propelled vehicles,.. and they are there. Leave them at it. Best of luck.

@@WordsofHonesty Yes, I’m Iraqi 🇮🇶 I love Afghans 🇦🇫 & their languages like Pashtu & Deri, I know easy words for basic conversation from each, because I need sometimes to do a search in your native languages to know more about the beautiful Afghan culture which is diverse & interesting just like a fruit basket that contains everything ❤️🌹 I always wish the love & peace for Afghanistan, the rich country that contains a variety of geography & topography 🌸🌹
@@h.h.entertainer3978 Wow amazing! It is incredible that you've written those phrases in the Afghan languages so correctly especially in Pashto which is my language. Your Pashto is much better than my Arabic which I'm trying to improve by listening to Arabic news channels. You Iraqis are amazing people. Iraqis and Afghans have so many things in common. Yes , there are a lot of ways to learn Arabic but the problem is that Arabic has so many accents that have big differences in between & all are different from the classic or Modern Standard Arabic.. But in general everything will be easy if you have a good vocabulary background & good knowledge in basic grammar of how to make a sentence… News & conférence all are in standard Arabic, but most of the songs are in local dialects.. ګرانو افغانانو ته زما سلامونه، موږ تاسو ټولو سره مینه لرو ❤️🌹🌸
@@h.h.entertainer3978 Well, that is the issue with many languages. Pashto also has many dialects and accents that are different from the standard version but not to the extent Arabic is. The reason might be because Arabic has a far bigger variety of dialects compared to many languages as it stretches over a large area and has speakers in hundreds of millions. In my opinion, Modern Standard Arabic is the gateway to learning the language. Standard Arabic has its unique characteristics. You can express ideas in this language in a more eloquent, articulate and concise manner. There is a reason why Allah sent Quran in Arabic. Can I ask which city of Iraq you come from?
Thanks for this video. My father in law recognizes several people in the video including his grandfather in Kandahar. This video made them so happy to watch... Do you have any other videos from this place?

my family was a Morrison Knudsen fam in the late 1950's! I have a zillion photos with similar scenes. I was conceived in Afghanistan but born stateside in 1959 but my parents and two brothers lived there

This video shows the arrival of President Mahmut Celâl Bayar of Turky in 1958 at Kandahar old airport. He was accompanied by H.M. King Mohammad Zahir shah and a large delegation from Kablu. Upon arrival at the Kandahar airport they were greeted by the Kandahar Governor Abdul Ghani Khan Gardeezi (Qala Beegi) and other provincial dignitaries and Afghan children. May Allah bless them all!

This is Kandahar not Kabul, kabul was a large booming city in the 1950s, nonetheless still beautiful.
