Foster was my favorite player as a kid. Rose doesn't get enough credit for playing at an All Star level at 5 different positions.
Hey they beat the Phillies in 76 go Phillies thou reds were great
Good fun. I just recently started playing, haven't gone online yet and don't have any mates that play it :(

Sparky knows damn well who Josh Gibson is 🐐
If Bench was a weak hitter he still would have been of great value for what he did behind the plate. The fact he was also a monster at the plate made him the best ever (imo).
They were my favorite team growing up and Rose was my favorite player. I believe the 76 all star team had 7 reds players in the starting lineup if I’m not mistaken. They were simply unbeatable in a playoff series in 75 and 76 and prob the greatest team of the modern era for those two World Series
Five Reds starters on that 76 team. Garvey , Luzinski , and Kingman joined Rose, Bench , Morgan , Foster , and Concepcion in the starting eight.
I was rooting for the Dodgers in 1975 but 2/3 of the way through the season it was obvious that the Reds were way too strong. The Dodgers ended up with 88 wins, not bad, but they were 20 games behind!
Porsche sounds good ✌😎
Hey now....
Lol When Pete was moved to Third there was a lot of questioning and criticism, because he hadn't been a world beater at 2nd when he broke in. My grandfather sloughed it off. "Meh, he's got a strong chest."
VIDEO YOU TOOK ON YOUR CELL PHONE SUCKS!!!! PLEEEEEASE STOP!!!!!! THIS IS BEYOND TERRIBLE!!!!! Honestly, I stopped at six seconds. Not because of the content, but because of you.
hey derek. see u getting cozy with new 1.5 ams2. how u and ur GRG fam like it so far ? 🤓🏎🚦
Yeah man, join us Sunday Nights we are doing open lobbies man.
Big Red Machine a total Joy just to watch
You recorded your TV?
Pirates fan here. You guys gave us all we could handle. A lot of mutual respect between those two teams (unless your name is Dock Ellis I guess😂).
Your team was great then, too, with guys like Clemente, Parker, Stargell, Tekulve, et. al. Two WS titles (against no WS losses) in 1971 and 1979.
Might have enjoyd this if I could have made out what people were saying. Utterly horrid audio.
Sorry buddy, best I can do.
Concepcion should definitely be in the Hall of Fame. The greatest lineup I’ve ever seen. The funny thing is I can be in the barbershop and so called Reds fans can’t even name a pitcher from that team. That’s how great that lineup was most people can’t even name a pitcher…
Gullett, Carroll, Hall, Billingham, Norman, Borbon, Eastwick, McEnaney, Sarmiento, Kirby, Nolan, Darcy, (shall I go on?).
The whole infield could be considered MVP's. George Foster was also an MVP in the outfield. Pete Rose, John Bench, Joe Morgan, Dave Conception was an All-star MVP, Tony Perez, and Manager Sparky Anderson is the first manager to win World Series in both National and American league. Ken Griffey Sr, And center fielder Cesar Geronimo. These guys were my heroes and I watched every Monday night and Saturday morning. The Reds were on tv a lot because there were so good.
best lineup to ever take field, IMO...I was a teenager when the BRM was in full bloom. Great time for baseball.
cheers...but pls dont drink n simdrive 🤣🥃
Nah, not that night!!
The 1975 Reds used a total of 12 pitchers....for the entire season. And one of those pitchers only pitched 2 innings during the season. So they essentially made it through the entire season with 11 pitchers. One of the underappreciated aspects of this great team was Sparky's handling of the pitching staff. Nowadays, teams can't make it through a week with less than 13 pitchers.
If Gullet hadn't broken his thumb on a line drive , they probably wouldn't have called up Tommy Carroll at all.
Great players, great manager, great professional dismantling of opposing pitching. Methodic in their ways. And I am Boston Red Sox fan, 1975.
Your team was terrific, too, with the likes of Jim Rice, Fred Lynn, Yaz, Carlton Fisk, Louis Tiant, and Rick Burleson. WHAT A WORLD SERIES!
Drunk
Schmidt quit baseball when he should've stuck it out and finished another couple years.nobody likes quitters.he could've went to a strength coach and gave it 100 percent.
Foster comes to the Mets and he sucked.
They beat down my beloved Phillies in '76, I remember crying
I was there. I was 12 yrs. Old.
The Big Red Machine's frontline players and its pitching staff, along with their manager, Sparky Anderson were something special.
It's criminal that Pete Rose is even mentioned in the same breath as these real ball players.
No sir...... He IS a criminal.
but admit it . . . he could play.
The official point of view of pussies
I saw the '75 Reds! In Montreal, in July. Freddy Norman on the bump that day for Cincinnati. Parc Jarry!
oh la la!
They played in a softball park.
with 52,000 seats
God how I hated them! Every summer in the late 60s early 70s, they would come through Atlanta and just beat the living hell out of my Braves. I did, however, respect them.
That 1976 yankees team was pretty damn good. The Reds destroyed them.
Bench is the best catcher ever and no one else is close.
I do agree that Bench was the best catcher ever. But Yogi, with his 10 World Series rings and 3 MVPs, comes fairly close.
Is that narrator Curt Chaplin, from “The People’ Court”? It definitely sounds like him.
Moving Rose to 3rd and putting Foster in Left Fucking genius move
The 1966 Reds Manager Don Heffner originally asked Pete Rose to play 3B but not only did Rose refuse but he ridiculed Heffner.
Yet to ruin it a few years later with the trade of Tony Perez
@@rafaelramirez1507 Dan Driessen wasn’t a bad replacement for Tony Perez. The Reds were aging. Age caught up with Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench. Sparky Anderson completely mismanaged the pitching staff and never could manage a young team or pitching staff. Furthermore, the NL West Dodgers and Astros now had better teams while the Braves, Padres and Giants were no longer push overs.
@@garryharris3777 Garry ? ... good point my friend 👍
@@rafaelramirez1507 Agree. It was later explained to me that Bob Howsom wanted Dan Driessen taking over at 1st in 1977. I still don’t understand why you’d take the team leader and trade him to Montreal. That was the end of that team.
Joe Morgan never touched Chambliss @ 2:05 and I don't think he was out of the baseline.
Yes, he did tag Chambliss out. He had the ball in his throwing had. He tagged Chambliss around the stomach.

Geronimo put fear in batter's hearts just like the Apache Geronimo put fear in the US Calvary
Best #8 hitter in MLB
They were aptly named. They reminded me of a machine. They were definition of professionalism. They all had those cool, yet determined persona’s. They only one who wasn’t like that was their leader - Pete Rose. Rose was determined, but had more of a flamboyant personality and playing style. Though he was similar, as he brought his all to every game. His career was one big head first slide! Without Rose they would have been remembered similarly to the Atlanta Braves. A dominant team that fell short of being a dynasty. With Rose they won 2 championships and made it to 4 World Series and where basically a second-tier dynasty, just bellow the Oakland A’s in the 70’s. If the Braves had someone like Rose on their team they probably win 3 World Series and remembered similarly to the Big Red Machine.
And Rose was very instrumental in Philly's world championship in #80
@@mikelogan629 Absolutely! He was the key player who got them over the hump. No Rose, no Philly championship that year.
@@mikem591 I believe that!!
Well stated!! Very true!!
Much like Larry Bird - if I am picked as manager of all time MLB greats, Rose is first pick. On the baseball field, no one better all around - ever.
It’s amazing they weren’t the team of the 70’s. Show how great the A’s where. Glad the Red’s won a couple championships.
A's had pitching. Other than that they had only one Hall of Fame player in Reggie Jackson. The rest were average to slightly above average players.
@@bengaljam4550 the Oakland A's of the 70s had top notch players that came together when the game was on the line , that in its self makes championship teams .... also the Oakland A's had just about the same amount of Hall of Famers as did the Cincinnati Reds , the big Red machine had HOF'ers Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, and Tony Perez , on the other hand the Oakland A's had Jim "Catfish" Hunter, Rollie Fingers and Reggie Jackson
@@rafaelramirez1507 A's had better pitching. Not everyday players. Reds 1976 lineup. Rose-Griffey-Morgan-Bench-Perez-Foster-Concepcion-Geronimo. A's had average to a couple better than average players. Reggie is the only HOF player other than pitching. A's were only good a few season in the 70's Red's won 1014 games in the 70's while A's won 838.
@@bengaljam4550 I got you 👍
@@bengaljam4550 I still believe that a game can be won by who performs best during that outing, be it HOF players or not , that's why I admire the Oakland A's so much ... and to realize that the Boston Red Sox won 895 games , more than the A's which won 3 championships and more than the Yankees which garnered two WSC's , and the Red Sox had 4 hall of famers ( 3 of which were everyday players ) ... and yet had nothing to show for it
As great as the Reds where Rose was the straw that stirred the Reds drink.

I remember they were scary and you knew not if but will win the world series from top to bottom they were as solid as they'll ever come
Audio is horrible.
The Big Red Machine will never be matched for pure talent.
Uh huh. Anything you say.
@@robertbalestrero9124 This Young Red Machine is pretty damn exciting!
@@DugEphresh For 2 years.
Overrated. Psssh.
You sir, are an idiot
When the Big Red Machine would go to Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta they would have some unbelievable games. The Braves would jump out to 6-0, 7-1, 8-2 leads and then the Reds would take over. Out in Left Field bleachers Ted Turner had Chief Knock-a-Homa and his teepee that would dance when a Braves player hit a home run. The Reds one night hit like 5 home runs off the teepee. Chief went home for the night.
I thought you said toupee.
Probably the best baseball team ever.
Sir ....no offense...but you can't possibly be this stupid. "......the best team EVER? " EVER? You have got to be kidding . Seriously .
The '27 Yankees are still widely regarded as the best ever. But this '75 Reds team is definitely in the Top 3. 1. 1927 Yankees 2. 1975 Reds 3. 1998 Yankees
@@robertwheatley9153 For 2 WS victories? ,????????? You know I first came on here by accident but this should be a mandatory viewing for a comedy series. Too much of that skyline chill has gone to your btains
Why did they start to breakup after ‘76?
The pitching staff fell apart. Gullett left as a Free Agent. Gary Nolan's arm gave out. McEnaney fell off. Carroll retired. Darcy , Alcala , and Zachary couldn't match their early success or were traded. The big mistake was trading Perez, Driessen had a good year in 77 replacing him and became mediocre afterwards.
The Dodgers got better
