Nice boat and motor, runs well.
Sure does! With the 40hp it’ll do a solid 25mph

Please take care of yourself🤬
Why do you say that?
Bucha
if that's the original front cover, then it's a '71
I had this outboard motor with a jetpump on my 18 foot sled and it went up rivers really good with plenty of power
Had same outboard motor loved it
50 mercury very good outboard
I had this outboard motor on my boat very fast had a jetpump on it loved that motor
I wish I had a jet pump for it that’d be so much fun
I think that's an 18 hp
No it was a 20hp that I converted to a 35hp
where did you get blue air line on cylinder wall fitting
Fleet farm, it’s the 5/16” raider brand
Do you know what the part numbers are for the intake and carb I have a 84’ 25hp I wanna do this too
You can find them here: www.marineengine.com/parts/johnson-evinrude-parts.php?year=1984&hp=35&model=J35ELCRR I’d recommend getting the part numbers off here and getting the parts on eBay Hope this helps!
Nice!! I had a '64 40hp johnson. I miss the exhaust smell and the pretty colors the oil slick left behind when trolling.
Yessir! I love these ol 40hps
Sounds Awesome for a 1970 outboard Mercury 😊
Sounds great 😊
Nice, two- strokes rule!💪🚤
They sure do!
what a sweet cake
We had that motor on our boat back in the 70's it took us everywhere in outer Boston Harbor.
50 yrs ago, we had a 1963 Electramatic. I learned to Waterski behind it. It pulled me out of the Water in a Slalom Ski when I was 14. Flywheel came off of it the first run in 74, after it had been tuned at the Dealer. Fortunately the Recoil Starter kept it from flying away. To its Right, sits a 72 Mercury 50hp. First year for the Blue Stripes, and the only yr with blue that had Kiekhaefer on the Faceplate
Wow having a flywheel come of sure is rough!
Super tous bien un petit entretien pour cette jolie embarcation
Was a sad day to see OMC taper off into the dark. In their day, they made as good of a carburated outboard as ever was.
Good motor, runs well.
Yes and it starts easy as well
The best money can buy 👌
Wow good job, it starts easy and purrs. I love these old motors. Thanks.
Love it!
Its still working!
Aí tem pressão e diesel
I had one when I was a kid. Dad bought it brand new. OMC 25 HP engine & a one piece molded Gates Rubber Company wide track. Flat out on hard pack snow: 32mph. It did a magnificent job breaking trail in deep snow, as long as you remembered 3 basic rules. #1 no long steep uphills (Not nearly enough power) #2 to turn in deep powder, just shift your weight and it'll bank like an airplane. #3 whatever you do, for heavens sake DON'T STOP. The structure is all sheet steel and once it buries in the deep powder, plan on being there for a LONG while digging out.
Yep they are quite heavy, got my skee horse stuck in a ditch once and had one heck of a time getting it out it was fresh powder on top of some tracks left by a newer sled, ski caught and the track dug deep down, almost threw out my back!
Do you have where to find the starter online for it
You can get them on eBay, marineengine.com here’s some part numbers 278232 380239 379091 3292133 378674 386591 586278
I recognize the sound must be those reed valves
I 50 just like that 65 may have secondary fuel pump and bigger pistons not sure
This one has one fuel pump
Hey man I have the same engine and I’ve been trying to do some work. Does this model have a “pisser port” for the cooling water or is it all out of the rear?
Stock it’s all out of the exhaust relief, but it’s very easy to install a pee line
@@MicahsMotors as long as that’s the case I’m ecstatic! Thanks!
Hey you’re welcome!
you need a jack plate to get the motor more out of the water so you can go faster
Yeah it also could use a different prop
im currently living in jeffrey dahmar’s fridge we can live together bbg 🤭🤭🤭
you have such beetroot like hands!! like idk how to explain it. i want a muscular man in my household 😻😻 you’re 38 btw ??? whatt????
that transom is frightening.
The edges are ugly but the rest seems solid
I just bought and have been using a 1972 version, what’s you’re idle knob settings and cold start/choke procedure?
Low speed 1 1/4 to 1 1/2, high speed 1 to 1 1/4 turns out after needle has been gently seated. I don’t run mine on choke for very long just till it’ll throttle down without dying, also make sure it warms up for a few minutes before going full throttle
She’s a charmer!
She sure is!
Love the hood scoop air intake. No head light! Runs great for so old.
It sure does! I just got a headlight for it as well as the proper fuel tank, and windshield
Во динозавра увидел 🤣🤟😎🤤
It is kinda old, 54 years now
Бодро едет даже и не скажешь что это старье, хочк такой😃
👍
Love it🤙🏽
Thanks! 👍
