What weapon systems would China develop to counter the new US underwater drones that are claimed to be able to destroy all types of surface ships and subs without losing any human crews? They claim that such drones will render the entire China Navy totally useless as soon as any conflict starts!

You assume uranium reactors. China is developing thorium molten salt reactors for its merchant fleet. If so, why not the naval fleet? China plans on building a 30 mw TMSR starting in 2025. That size might be just right for ships.

The Jiangnan shipyard has announced that they are designing a large merchant ship using a TMSR. China has announced that it will begin the construction of a 30 mw thorium MSR beginning in 2025. There are also some media speculation that the fourth Chinese carrier will be nuclear powered and the question is whether a small modular reactor or a TMSR will be used.

Looks like China is ready to launch Thorium reactor for military use and I wouldn't be surprised that it will be used in the next gen submarines.

Given the energy hungry China, this Thorium is going to become a main stream of source for many military applications including humanoid if the Chinese scientists could reduce the size and make it like a battery.

This MSR is a perfect energy solution for civilian and military purposes and much safer with abundant supplies.

This will probably become the mainstream fuel for all future military vehicles. Congrats China!!!

China's missions successes have been 100% while the US astronauts are still stuck in the ISS.

Some of the China's missions have broken the first in the world surpassing the US, e.g. landed far side of the Moon, brought back the soil from the moon, and also discovered water molecules in the soil. These are just some of the examples that China is the first in space missions.

China's space exploration is moving at its own pace and making successful strides with the latest Chang'e 6 and soon Chang'e 7. What really sets China apart from the US, is its mission plans that they have a clear objective and step by step to make it happen. Bravo!!!

In addition, there is an estimated 8000 km of metro tunnels (Google AI), 22,000 km of rail tunnels, and 28,000 km of road tunnels (Google AI) for a total of 58,000 km of civilian tunnels, or over 36,000 miles of tunnels. The current guess of military tunnels is 3000 miles. (US estimate) In China many of the metro tunnels have underground cities with shops, restaurants, and entertainment centers in parallel with the metro tunnels. In Shenzhen, that I am aware of these commercial tunnels parallel the rail tunnels in the metro stations and some reach between two stops. Separately, in Beijing, Chongqing, Qingdao, and Shanghai there are WW2 tunnels that are used for commercial purposes now or as tourist attractions.

Not only underground, China has also made use of the caves for storage too.

Given the history, it wouldn't be a surprise that China has a vast network of underground bunkers for civilian and military use. Most, if not all, parking lots in China are in fact civilian bunkers in the event of war.

Naval shipbuilding , EVs , drones ,5G , super Apps , electronics, E bikes, mobile phones, high speed trains , infrastructure, services, driverless cabs and buses, drone deliveries m cashless payments , subways etc. China is building the future , just visit any city , very advanced, very safe , clean , very green , very affordable public transport , very high standard of living etc. They do more than just talk. In the next decade , it’s very clear who will dominate on the world stage. BRICs , Middle East , Africa , ASEAN , South America - China has foster strong ties on trade and peaceful development and infrastructure. It’s a builder not a destroyer. This is very constructive.

ASAT has always been existed but the US and China and even Russia choose not to use it to expand the unnecessary battles among each other.

Although the US (SpaceX) is leading the number of satellites orbiting earth, China is catching up quickly with its very own sat program - Thousand Sails which is to counter Starlink. The space is getting lots of traffic and crashes may eventually happen whether intentional or accidental.

Space would be another battlefield in the foreseeable future as the US always wants to dominate everywhere including the space.

Once this kJ-600 becomes part of China's carrier surveillance, it will extend the surveillance and protection range. This is absolutely necessary as China is seeking the blue water navy!
