    The high pressure systems are close to fogponics and low pressure systems have none of the drawbacks of high pressure systems although the water droplets are much larger. Low pressure spray nozzles are easily replaceable.

    • @proponics
      @proponics Месяц назад

      As far as transplanting them into your hydroponic system you would want to move them from their initial growing medium and then place them into the new hydroponic medium within the system you are using. You would want to do this gently and quickly otherwise you could cause shock to the plant and risk damaging it. Make sure to gently wash any dirt off the roots and try not to break any of the roots. Please what is the required nutrients

    • @proponics
      @proponics 2 месяца назад

      Because onions are not flowering plants you will want to use a grow nutrient mix as opposed to bloom. But during bulb development the focus should be on reducing nitrogen levels and increasing potassium (K) and calcium (Ca). This helps to strengthen the bulbs and ensure they develop well. Onions prefer pH levels between 6.0 and 6.8, and your EC level should be around 2.0 during the establishment period, and you can raise it to 2.6 once the roots are established.

    • @proponics
      @proponics 2 месяца назад

      Yes definitely! You can use a variety of different media with DWC. It all depends on the setup you have and what is most appropriate. For example if using net pots you don’t want to use a medium that is so small it will fall through the pot and into your reservoir. So in this case hydroton pebbles are a good option.

    Hi, I have question. I mixed my nutrients until I get the desired PPM which is around 800. And upon checking the pH it has drop till around 3.4pH so I adjuated it to 6pH as desired. After the pH adjustment I tried to re-check the PPM level again and it has drop to around 200 PPM. Initially l, I already get the desired 800PPM but when I tried to adjust the pH the nutrient level drops. I also found out that when I lowered the pH again to around 3pH, the PPM level start to raise to the initial amount which is until 700++. Is that mean when I wanted the nutrient level to be around 800ppm, I should make it first maybe around 1500ppm or more thick so when I adjusted the pH to the desired pH I can get around 800ppm upon recheck with the pH I wanted ?

    • @netty7107

      @@proponics I use a very small water 3L reservoir only. Is it may be due to the small water reservoir ? I adjusted the pH to 6pH but it seems that the nutrient level has dropped too much. And I used Potassium Hydroxide for pH up dan Citric Acid for pH down.

    • @proponics
      @proponics 2 месяца назад

      No, at that size you should be able to get accurate readings pretty fast. With a lager reservoir it would take longer for everything to settle and to get an accurate reading. What nutrition are you using?

    Nice comparison, bro. Btw, does the irrigation has to run 24h / day for both systems? Or we can manage the duration and timing for more energy friendly?

    • @proponics
      @proponics 2 месяца назад

      This is very much a system and plant specific situation. Ultimately you are aiming for a situation where the roots of the plants can’t dry out, otherwise the plants will die. So if you want to do timed irrigation then you must ensure that the medium you are using to support your plants retains enough water until the next irrigation cycle. Or in the case of aeroponic, that the interval between cycles isn’t so long the roots will dry out. So low pressure aeroponic cycles for longer periods/intervals, or high pressure cycles for shorter periods/intervals.

Balanced solutions that are specifically for hydroponics are designed to mitigate all of these issues.

    I am confused as one of your downsides notes that aeroponics has less support for bigger plants, but could you not simply use a dwc setup and transform it into an aeroponics setup? For example, thick net pots and misters that will miss the roots that come out?

    I think I have found a good solution to keep the water temperature at a suitable level. Put a 50L tank in an 80L tank, in this way an air space is formed, you can use the air as insulation as well. At the Emirates you can go slalom. Using air as isolation, like a box above the ceiling where all those snow machines are.

    Question when growing fruits and vegs do I use nutrition all the way to harvest and if so is the nutritions ok for human consumption🤔

    • @proponics
      @proponics 5 месяцев назад

      Yes your plants should always have a source of nutrition as long as they are growing. That said you don't need to feed them up to the very moment of harvest, but you don't want to leave it too long. Some growers chose to reduce the amount of nutrient they use or "flush" the nutrient completely (we have a video on this I will link below). It's important to remember that the type of nutrient needs to be different as well during the fruiting stage. Most commercial mixes will be label as "grow" or "bloom" and you want to use "bloom" when flowering and fruiting. Bloom nutrients are basically higher in phosphorus. As for consuming plants that have been grown using hydroponic nutrients, yes they are completely safe to consume providing you have been using nutrients that are approved for use in hydroponics. DON'T however ingest hydroponic nutrients by themselves. Video on hydroponic flushing 👉🏻 ruclips.net/video/tgDg7noR9-w/видео.html

      It will simply effect the plants across the frequency of how often the temperature is changing. So while I can’t see the up and down in the temperature having any specific unique impact, it will simply just have the compounding effect of all the ups and downs put together over time.

    • @proponics

      A rise in EC can be the result of the plants needing more water than nutrition at a particular time. If the water level drops without nutrient uptake it will increase EC.
