Take Jackington, for example - the guy is just a kid, where would he get his style from teen ages? Or Snowy - in Deltarune itself, he has such a manner of communication - he banters in his own style, a little silly, turning communication into a joke, and especially with Kris. + some classmates will literally have no role in my story. And in general, Monsterkid who will play a role in the series has literally the same personality as in the Undertale - he does not understand the world of people, is a little silly, but is kind and will stand up for his loved ones, is ready to discover new things, and so on - literally the same character. It's worth noting that the concept art for Lancer, King, Jevil and some other darkners in chapter 1 was designed not by toby; rather a random Tumblr artist named kanotynes drew the cards and toby stumbled across them, and he decided to make some rough sketch of an RPG "inspired" by those cards, but eventually halted the project to develop UT instead.

Deltarune drinks from the fountain of success Undertale had when released. At this point, we love Toby and his characters, and Deltarune has some real talent behind it's development so it's a massive improvement from the _Tale from Under._

​​@@pros_0143 i wouldn't say deltarune's an "improvement" you can't really compare the two like that it's just, different some people might like it more, some people might not and that's completely okay

@@arn3107 I mean, definitely. I mainly talk about how sprites on undertale were sometimes purposefully "bad" to fit the vibe and now in Deltarune the gameplay is more complex. It's an improvement if you're comparing both, but they're definitely separate experiences.

@@pros_0143 that's fair that actually confuses me though for Undertale, he purposefully made the sprites bad to surprise people i wonder why he doesn't do that for deltarune? maybe it's cuz he already has something BIG planned that's gonna blow up even the current standards he's placed himself
