i initially thought this band was comparable to early q and not u but as I've learned from the newer album they're just a bunch of bandwagon hoppin pop wankers.

Math rock is basically spontaneous drumming with the lead guitarist following the flow of the music on his own accord and the other components filling in the gaps. More like music vomit, but in a brilliant way.

yannis used to be in a math rock band so he draws some influences from that genre
