and also ordered the XP 240 backpack so I could just carry everything in one bag, bag is awesome, does everything you need plus it looks nice and very decent material, no complaints at all.

      Nice I was hoping the lead piece was something like a saddlers badge, I was checking spoons for days lol, thanks for nailing that one, and yeah it is a field that was worked by horses and its also near an old pit. I'm always happy for chunks of lead, but even more when it has patterns. I'm finding loads of broken teapots, bottles, medicines scattered all over the place along with other household objects, I needs some other programs saved onto my deus lite because I don't have the control box, I keep having to use basic 1 and whatever program 9 is, it's driving me mad. But yeah I will catch up at some point dude, I seen some of the holes you guys are digging, savages those are some proper deep holes. 👍👍👍

      Well spotted Marionette, it was infact a horse buckle and also the lead chunk with the pattern on it was a saddlers badge aswell. So it's definitely a field worked by horses which my old maps show it was a field long before tractors were invented. Plenty of signs of household objects, so it's possible for taps to show up, maybe I can get a copper tap first. The race is on 😆 🤣 😂 👍👍👍

      Yes bud I still collect them, I'm currently trying to find an 1845 site at my new permission. Plenty of broken bottles, pipes, teapots, and pewter stuff all over the place. I just can't seem to locate the actual pit. But when I do I will absolutely be digging down. But since a major disagreement at the last site, I won't be going back to that one, or I will end up hitting somebody in the face with a spade. Do you ever find any gold or platinum rings or other jewellery? I’m thinking of buying this detector and want to comb my local beaches.

    • @HOARDHUNTER1
      @HOARDHUNTER1 2 года назад

      I actually upgraded from this detector very quickly. This machine detected that gold with no trouble at all, a really good clear signal. However this was on land, these detectors do very poorly on beaches, the minerals give you fake signals every 10 centimeters lol. There is detectors much better suited to the beach, these are called PULSE INDUCTION detectors. Cscope, viking, those type of detectors work on beach but are terrible on land. Very expensive machines can sometimes jump between land and beach, but for the best part you either need a beach machine or a land machine. There are a few machines in a similar price range as the garrett, but garretts are just not for the beach. My sneaky tip would be use the garrett in wood chip play parks, and you will soon have the money for a fancy beach detector. I scoped out about 36 parks that had wood chip areas and made hundreds of pounds in a very short time, I just used Google maps to locate the parks and saved the postcodes by clicking on houses near the parks. Piles of spendables, I was still able to cash the round one pound coins in using a COINSTAR machine at local Asda. Upgraded my detector very fast. So remember, pulse induction for the beach but this is mostly for fun. And garrett for play parks = MEGA COINAGE keep it a secret though, as these are money pits 👍👍👍

    I just picked up a used but like new ricomax gc-1037 really cheap. It has a problem with the search coil, if i hit the coil pretty hard in just the right spot at times the detector will work perfectly. I took the coil apart and cannot find anything broken or loose inside. It has the exact same 5 pin connector as the 2 detectors you have in the video. This ricomax is probably made at the very same factory as both of your machines are. I've looked around on the net trying to find contact information for this ricomax company so that i can look into buying a replacement coil, but, finding contact information for these chinese detector manufacturers seems to be nearly impossible. This ricomax is a very impressive machine despite its inexpensive price, but finding customer service contact information from this company so that i can purchase a new coil may be more trouble than its worth it seems. Excellent vid!

    • @HOARDHUNTER1
      @HOARDHUNTER1 2 года назад

      Try dropping the "ricomax" name in your search. The 1037 detector gets rebranded by everyone, it has been out for a number of years, nearly all super cheap detectors use that exact concentric coil, I think it's 8 or 10 inches in size. It was made to copy Garretts Ace 250 Detector. As far as I know there is no way of purchasing parts for these. I would look out for a second detector very cheap and use whichever one works better. Plus make sure your coil wire is wrapped around your pole nice and tight-ish, as a loose wire can cause false beeps. But these detectors are very well known to just not work properly out of the box. If you really like detecting and want to enjoy it, I really do think you should just upgrade. Garrett have a range 200i, 300i, 400i These detectors are awesome at finding coins, work like they are supposed to, have excellent warranty if anything goes wrong, and loads of upgrade parts. Cheap detectors will have you digging things that are not there, or won't let you know you are digging down to a 30 inch pipe. Try moving your wire around to see if it will work, then try and electrical tape the wire into place on the pole when you get it to work. Otherwise it might be the control box that is the issue not the coil. And again these troubles tend not to happen with garretts cheaper detectors, that's why most people use garrett as a baseline detector for starting the hobby, they are just made so much better with better internals. But check your wire out first, you may get it working with a little messing around and a little bit of tape.

      Ahhh unfortunately there will be no more digging videos from me bud, I ended up nearly caving someone's head in with a spade. I get really personal with traitors, and one of these brainless goons ended up giving away the location to other digging teams and for me that was a mega breach in trust. I don't hang with people that are very untrustworthy and for this reason I would not be doing the digging again, not to mention any of the other dodgy antics you might get pulled into. Maybe in the future if I come across a good bunch of dudes that are legit, I might, but I have deleted nearly all of my videos on this channel, only a couple left, i have even changed the channel name. Now I will just be buying, unboxing and or testing things on this channel and my oracles cave will be mainly for projects. So I'm sorry to burst your bubble bud, but this is pretty much the end of the line for bottle digging. I'm always getting upto something though so there might be a sneak appearance if I find my own new bottle dump that nobody knows about. @@kagewilliams4475 I suppose so, I would just drill in a couple of millimetres and then try and chip it out using a small chisel, just take very thin/light layers off at a time, the hole saw will leave a groove for you to chisel towards from the centre, so you are only creating a small groove with hole saw and skimming it out with a chisel. Or possibly sacrificing a drill bit and grinding flat on the end. Or you could drill the size holes you are needing and just plug them up from the back as much as you need, with wood, cardboard, hot glue, anything really, just so your coin sits slightly higher than the surface.

    Congrats on the new one! I have two other detectors but I want to get an xp deus for relic hunting in deep woods and I don't want to spend for the full kit. How handicapped do feel with the lite version ? The latest version5 seems to offer quite a bit of adjustments with the ws4, only a few expert settings not available?

    • @HOARDHUNTER1
      @HOARDHUNTER1 5 лет назад

      I dont feel handicapped in anyway, there is extra slots for saving tweaked programmes, plus you can get someone with a box to put even better settings in your spare slots. I want to learn the tones anyway to learn the machine faster, and I very much believe that will happen. And so far its pulling up mega targets on ground I have hunted very hard, and had pulled up some unexpected finds that never appeared with other detectors. I have barely scratched the surface on the preset programmes and this machine is crazy good, lightest machine out there, most compact, I find it hard to believe there is a better all round detector out there. And this set up for same price as a Garrett AT Pro, it's a no brainer. Version 5.2 is pretty much the full kit without visual display. The visual display would help loads if searching for specific targets, but so far it just hoovers stuff up. Incredible machine and would absolutely advise getting this set up, I will be saving up and keeping an eye out for a second hand control box for cheap cheap, but for now I'm more than happy without the control box. 👍👍👍

    As a long term XP Deus user, I can tell you, it’s truly the best detector on the market. I’ve tried most of the other brands, models, versions of new models, Fisher, Garret, Minelab, Telnetics, and I personally own a few detectors. The Deus is in a league of its own. Ability to detect everything and ability to create your own amazing hot programs is a huge benefit. I’m still running V4 firmware but will likely upgrade today to latest 5.2 or whatever they have. I have the MI-6 pointer and these detectors are just truly amazing. You have to wrap your head around these machines. They’re not like a simple detector where you hear a target and it just goes bing and tosses you a cookie ID on your display. With the Deus, you can physically hear the shape and size, density, round or square target. You don’t even need a VDi on this machine, just the tone and width, as well as clarity and density of the target. After using the AT Pro with larger coil for quite some time, I originally thought my Deus was broken when I first got it. It didn’t act like a normal detector. It took me 2 solid days, swinging this light little machine to finally realize that it is working properly and nothing wrong with it. I put it in full tone hot mode, made my own program, using full tones, customized the frequency base on it and boom, started pulling more silver out of the ground in the first month than I did the entire time I owned my AT Pro. Went over stuff I previously hammered the shit out of with the AT Pro, and found that this thing just loves to pick out tiny targets. Previous “trash” targets, came in loud and clear, finding silver Merc dimes sitting right below pencil erasers in an old school. Just an amazing detector. They’re not cheap, but considering the technology packed inside of them, they’re a true 9.5/10 . Other detectors have tried to copy them. The Makro Racer is my next choice, giving amazingly clear tones. I like the Macro 10x better than the AT Pro. The rapid responses are amazing. My wife started detecting using the Macro Racer and that’s now her detector. She loves it. Anyways, gotta run, cheers

      I dont disagree with anything you said, I truly believe the Garrett AT Pro is the best starter detector in the world. Everybody kissing Garrett's ass will say ace detectors are brilliant but they are really poor. Yes you will find stuff with them, but it's very frustrating, it ruins the hobby for new comers. AT Pro has beginner ace style mode but pro mode is a real detector, how you can hear the ground, but this XP Deus blows my mind, and it hoovers up targets like the place is littered in targets. Even though it's been hammered with the AT Pro. I'm now getting unusual shaped and square shaped relics, but the AT Pro would only find circle and round things. Amazing coin and bullet finding machine. But the Deus is in a league of it's own. Thanks for stopping by poppabear 👍👍👍

      @@HOARDHUNTER1 - yes, exactly. Finding silver dimes, on edge, approx 8-10 inches deep, or even deeper is possible with the Deus, whereas the same exact target with the AT Pro, with a bigger CORS Detonation coil, and the Deus still smashes.

    Hi to you. I was never into metal detecting until my partner came home earlier today and said a work colleague had given her an old Garrett treasure ace 200. It's got a 9 and a half inch round disk on the end with Garrett Crossfire 2 written on it. The color is all green with a white adjustable piece to make it longer or shorter, sorry i don't know what most of the bits i am describing are called as i have never owned one before. It looks like an old one but to my surprise it still looks brand new, no scratches anyware. It looks like it takes two 9 volt square batteries. I just thought i would ask someone as yourself if it would be any good to have a go at this hobby. It came with a very nice holdall and a pair of headphones and a very nice spade that you unscrew and fold out, quit nicely made i would say. Just wanted to ask as said like yourself who seems to know what they are on about

      It is a much older version detector, but will infact work just fine. The technology in the microchips has come a long way since then, but that detector should have no issues at all. These kind of detectors are known as dig everything machines, because they will find most stuff upto 6 inches deep, any deeper and a good signal can sound bad. So dig every signal, normally the very lowest signal is rusty iron like nails, and the highest signal is usually really big rusty metal. And everything else is a good target. If you get a good signal and you lift your coil higher off the ground and still get a signal at 10 inches, usually this will be big rusty iron or drinks can. Totlot kids parks with woodchips would be a great place to test it out, minimum rubbish and good mix if goodies to learn the machine, like coins, jewellery and other odd metal things. Just remember, most finds are just trash anyway, I dig about 300 holes in a hunt and only get 30-40 good finds, and I have one of the best detectors for the job. It's a dig everything machine, but yes it will find the goodies if you swing over them, and remember it can sound bad even if it's good just because its deeper. Sand pits Woodchip parks Dry sand on the beach ( but not so much on the wet sand because of minerals ) Parks that get used for events. Ploughed fields All good places for that machine. Give it a try, its hard at first because most of the targets are trash, but soon you will be able to recognize a signal as good or bad and avoid digging it if you need to. It's called cherry picking, just hitting the best signals. But you have to dig a few hundred holes to get the hang of it. Advantage is it only really detects to about 6 inches deep so the holes you have to dig are small. Let me know if you give it a try, I would love to hear about your first experience. 👍👍👍👍

    • @HOARDHUNTER1
      @HOARDHUNTER1 5 лет назад

      @@menacegtr yes that's no problem, just remember that on wet beach your machine will give off false signals, one way to make sure it's a good target, is turn 90 degrees and re-check the target. But you will still find stuff, just expect to dig and not find anything, the salt in the moving water under the sand tricks the detector into thinking there is a target below the coil. But if the signal is loud and clear, and good tone in both directions its definitely worth digging. I bet you find a few coins on your first try 👍👍👍

Sorry about that bud, but the pro cut is identical in shape and design. Including the tig welding. 👍👍👍 Regtons is where mine came from, about £77 delivered, so about the same price too.

      @HOARDHUNTER1 5 лет назад

      This was the best digging tool I have ever owned, I gave it to the person I sold my Garrett AT Pro international to. I'm now trying to find the same company to custom make another one. I never had a problem with bending at all, and I have used mine for leveraging huge boulders out of the compacted ground. Never had any issues with the root busting teeth bending, no rust ever on any part of it. That's why I will definitely be buying another one. I have broken 2 spades in 2 trips and cant be bothered going through that again like the first time, so if yo purchase another one of these. 👍👍👍👍
