One of those DAK boxes would be amazing with a full board replacement. Something like what's in the Ranger RCI 69 Base Plus. Imagine that board in an old DAK chassis. If only these boards could be had fairly cheap, they would make an amazing radio in big old chasis like Dak, Tram, Eagles and so on. Just saying ...

Nobody has their radio turned on anymore. When i see a truck with a problem going down the road and i call out to them, i get nothing. Even if I pull along side, give a short horn blast and wave my mike in my hand, the dont get it. When i am just rolling and I turn on my radio, i get someone four states away pushing a kilowatt, seemingly talking to themself. CBs seem to be a thing of the past. Ive got some awesome 10 meter gear that I didn't bother to install in my new Pete because why bother?

I met walkie in real life. He tuned my connex 3300 HP brand new out a box. Converted it to 11M. He did excellent work. He didnt add no swing mod kit and didnt clip my limiter. He had a ossilicscolpe and used it to dial in the bias gate voltage and mirrored my finals to be balanced. He set my dead key low to 1/2 watt and high was 2w. He made a 60w radio only do 10w peak best. He said it needs to be super clean to go into a amp in stages to be linear. He tuned my radio and amps all together. 1X8 and on his ossilicscolpe my wave form at 1000hz tone was super clean. Wtj is the real deal. He should open a shop but he refuses to work on radios for a living. i use my set up professionally and its been 5 months and still holding up fine. Im using all RG8X coax because thats what he suggested me to only run to my skipshooter antenna. I mainly talk on 38 sideband and im making allot of contacts. The 8 pill dead keys about 150w and swings to about 1200w im not seeing the full 1600 but they are dei pills so i cant complain. Its probably cause im running a ranger mic. He even had a rig expert to get the ohms and swr set. He did amazing work.

With my D&A Maverick not in line my match is 1.1to 1 when I put the Maverick in line SWR is 1.9 almost a 2... Is this common when you put an amp in line? Walkie talkie never had a 16 pill in his truck. He was messing with everyone. He runs a 1x4 into a Goose Rider 8 pill comp built high inductense . He was doing about 1600 watts pep his carrier was 1000 watts swings to 1600 peak Average watts dead keys 1000 and barely moves forward

He’s running a Goose Rider 8 pill that he drives with and old 1x4 . He talked on a 2950 dx tuned down. Dead keyed .05 watts swing to about 10 watts . He put that into a little 1x4 that ran into a comp built Goose Rider 8 pill. I know it makes no sense but that’s what he ran I personally know Walkie Talkie and even helped him a little bit with his set up. Believe it or not that’s what he ran. He was friends with Hard Drive but Hard Drive did not set up his radio

I only had it for 2 months and I ended my services with them. I wouldn't advise anyone to get this service. This video is 100% accurate and I now have fiber internet and I love it and if they have to install it on a pole in your yard they are gonna charge a extra $100. The technician informed me that they leave out a lot of information when you sign up and leave it up to them when they install it to tell you about any extra charges because they are too cowardly to do it themselves. DO NOT GET VIASAT INTERNET!
