    In my 2018 Fantic Integra 180 w Brose gen 1 alut motor there is one odd feature. After 5 to 10 minutes intense riding with boost power setting it a bit looses power and isn't cinsistant with power delivery within one crank circle. What do you Bike Motor Repair guys think about that?

    • @ebikemotorrepair
      @ebikemotorrepair 3 месяца назад

      @@karraite that is actually odd behavior. It is possible that you could have either a power delivery issue such as a connection, plug or socket or even wire harness that is faulty or damaged. Your battery could be going bad. There are also some clutch bearings in those units which can begin to slip. However, the backwards rotation fixing your problem, is a bit mysterious to me. @@RonA-s1g these kinds of noises, believe it or not can be quite tricky to figure out without tearing into the motor. And sometimes we find that it’s not the motor at all. You should try riding with the motor off and see if you can still get the sound to occur. it doesn’t rule the motor out completely if you still hear the sound, but it sure does begin to pinpoint the only possible culprit in the motor. Also, this would highlight a lot of other culprit outside of the motor. Such as pedals, crank arms, chain, rear, cassette, etc.

      Interesting. I’ll be curious to hear what you think it should be. Also keep in mind We didn’t set the specs on them though. Also the “stretch” does not need to be a lot. We’re talking thousands of inch of stretch if that. The main purpose of the stretch bolt is in part to produce friction for a good hold and second in part as to not damage the hard magnesium metal threads. Also, with those specs pointed out in the video we have had zero issues with bolts loosening over time as gaskets compress. I will leave you with this little tip; in a pinch at those specs you can usually get one more use out of them if you’re careful.

      there are about 90 error code 500's. Most of them are related to software issues. A shop with diagnostics should be able to clear the code and see if it comes back. If it comes back then it could be related to an incompatible accessory. It can also be some parts that have failed in the motor. One of our partners should be able to help if you need more assistance. here is a list of our partners ebikemotorrepair.com/world-wide-partners/?v=7516fd43adaa

    I have learned enough about the Brose motors to know I never want one, so much for German engineering.

    Sweet! Just ordered a Turbo Levo 3d gen, and very happy to know there are avenues to fix these common problems after warranty. Thanks for the video! Very confidence inspiring! Future Customer here lol

      What a great attitude about this!! thank you for the feedback. I totally agree and frequently find myself talking people down from various frustrations about having to repair motors at all. So, i't refreshing when we see people who understand things break and then glad when there are service options available! Have a great day, enjoy the new ride, and feel free to reach out any time for troubleshooting or problems. 😁😉

      Yeah it does but it's hiding under a small white sticker on the bottom of the case near the case cover.

    Awesome. I just purchased a Ride1Up Prodigy XR. All of the bicycle parts are off the shelf items that I can maintain. The Brose motor had me worried though about repair after warranty. I can do this belt change. For anything else on this motor, I can just send it to you guys.

      This video might seem scary but in all honesty Brose is one of my favorites because it is a very well performing motor in all areas. Quiet, intuitive, powerful... Sure send it on over when it gives you trouble.

    The Brose E-motor is a great motor, but has too much damn 90nm of torque that shreds it's timing belts.

      Yes. They are continuing to make them stronger. It’s definitely a point of weakness. But also why they are super smooth and quiet compared to other brands.
