MAGPUL RVG MOE upgrade to M-LOK via MAGPUL M-LOK T-Nut Replacement Set. (Extra Life 1)
Cool stuff
Great! Except you skipped the hard part, actually attaching the bipod to the rifle barrel handguard. Not impressed.
thanks for watching! now, don't get me started on utoob Terms of Service rules on installing specific types of parts on certain types of items, and how those TOS change without notice.
now my snarky reply: if you cannot install m-lok parts, then seek actual assistance and guidance from magpul (they wanna help you!) so you can then .... install m-lok parts, not just from a video from some rando on the internet
@@JustTheARplatform , I see your point, but actually installing the Magpul bipod can be a pain in the butt. I'm beginning to think it's impossible on MY AR-15 barrel handguard with its spaced, "keyhole" slots.
Can you describe your handguard's slots further , or is .... Your mention of "keyhole"... are they actually the Key-mod slide in type ? if that is the case, there are keymod to m-lok adapter plates from different providers, but you will also need longer screws to adjust for the increased height difference, so check to see if they are included with the adapters.
another option is the rail mounted version of the bipod, preferably with a 17s style quick detach lever, that way you would just need to use or add a compatible rail section to the bottom surface of the handguard.
Thanks man. Keep the videos coming!
Still prefer the older steel cans for most things
It's all smoke and mirrors, does nothing
Agree, same decibel level. One difference, is that compared to a muzzle brake with large side vents, or BACKWARDS directed side vents....oooof much better. I've had my boonie hat BLOWN off my head from spotting next to muzzle brake items.
Honestly, the 10 rounders are cute. BUT, fuck the government.
Very cool
Definitely getting one because I’m not buying a Knight’s Armament grip and I like the old school vertical grips.
and as someone also mentioned in the comments, there is storage inside the longer version grip.
I have the same rifle, even kept the box with the blue label on it, have the owners manual that came with it. What would be an approximate value in today’s market on one that is in very good condition, less than 10 boxes of ammo run through it, and no modifications of any kind? Thanks for your time, and I really enjoyed your video. Regards
tough question, perhaps monitor auction closing prices for similar items in similar condition?
How do you add your sling. I have one of those butt stock. I have the 5th one. Thats in the middle. 3:27
Both of the adjustable stocks (M4 style and CAR style) have Midwest Industries sling QD adapters for those stock types. Just checked the MI website and...uh...hmmm looks like not in current production...uhhhh. maybe look for similar brand options ? or maybe the random website that still stocks them, you never know, somebody may still have some.
@JustTheARplatform alrighty man, thank you. I'm new to ar-15's guns. I'm trying to learn as much as I can.
you have decades of 'evolution' to catch up on lol, deep deep rabbit hole, enjoy!
Thanks for this information I wanted to know where to find this type of sights
Shop around, there are different brands, different lengths of sights to clear large handguards, and accessories that ...stick out and will block your view. There are also fold down versions of offset sights, ghost rings, different front sight post diameters, etc etc.
First to say it DAYZ
Dude you don’t know what I talking about!!!! Rookie!!! Perfect example of a nerd !!!!! Wanting to be a warrior
you forgot to include 'OLD', as in OLD rookie nerd. Also, good luck finding one with the markings that looks exactly like this one. To be honest, I think it is an overpriced vanity/glamour/bling-looking BCG. I only bought one of these. You should see which parts-slap-together it ended up in, dare not to laugh when u see... At some point, I will do a vid on the bulk buy BCG brand that is stuffed in some of my other wanna-be-clone-imperfect-good-enough boring items.
i had more fun making the thumbnail than filming the 'quick observation' video. I'm no expert, this is actually just the channel i post one-take-blab about something on saturdays, i post monday thru friday on my main channel.
I own their Quad rail drop in set. If that is any indication of their quality, id really enjoy this too 👍
I had my first ooopsie with the rear upper tab that covers the gap over the delta ring...snapped it right off. I swear I'm not a big gorilla/sasquatch, it just happened! 🫢
I have one here new in the bag and I am not impressed. May be sending it back.
do what you gotta do. As I found out with my example, it just wore out and started spinning around with each trigger pull, and reset.
I use the individual CMC pins for aging/showing-wear-and-tear lower receivers (range beaters).
Just got the return paperwork from midway. Going to use the Wilson combat pins. Only reason I want them is the diamond tech trigger doesn’t retain them as well as I would like. For the price of the trigger they should include them in the kit.

Instead of squeezing the lever like you usually do to adjust the stock, pull that end of the lever AWAY from the stock, rock it the opposite way, and it should slide right on. Very easy. If that doesn't result in an easy on/off, the locking stud CAN be adjusted, but you must first loosen the set screw on the collar, then use the slot in the end of the stud to adjust it with a screwdriver. It is counter intuitive. Turning the screw IN, (to the right) retracts the stud and makes it easier to slide the stock on. You can then tighten the set screw. I adjust mine so that they can be easily removed by rocking the lever the opposite direction. They will not come off "uncommanded", but can be easily removed when needed.
Thanks for sharing the additional info!
Can you use the surefire mag5-60 to the block 2 m4
the top portion has the same relative dimensions as an "AR" pattern metal magazine, and fits the standard "AR" pattern magwell.
Yeah...Big boy Lego parts don't fall into "financial advice". 🤣
I love the way you say P&S. And I love my P&S rail on my Gov surplus M16A4 FN upper
10 rounders are useful for when Im hunting from a ladder stand, easier to maneuver than a 30 round mag.
Just installing these hopefully theyll be ok
You''ll be fine... My example was obtained YEARS ago, so I expect a 'continuous improvement' (business speak) design process is used by this size of manufacturer.
Nice , and swag.
Thanks for the info. I added them to my resources for future reference. Good sights. I have two. One on an M16A4 and another on an M4A1. The "zero line" is to be used when zeroing the sight at 25 yards _on a 20" barreled rifle._ When zeroing a 14.5" carbine (or 16" carbine) use the "300" mark. Then use the front sight to adjust elevation for the zero. Some of the sights have "logos", others have a CAGE code (0C882) on the underside. Some have both. My only complaint was that the aperture is too small! After zeroing, I opened the aperture to match the "0-2" aperture on an M16A2 sight. Works much better for my eyes.
Not worth $300.
Where did you find that? I have been looking for quite some time for one.
Deep breath.... I think the VG6 C.A.G.E device is.....DISCONTINUED.... I can only guess why, because some users were not satisfied(?) (or maybe the installation was too complicated for them? I've met people who could not change a flat tire on their car) (also met people who did not know about left hand threading). Who knew this little part set would become "collectible".
Thank you for the guide brother
Hello, can You please help ? what if this 1 slot ( 3:35 ) fits to 2 slots ( left and right ) ? what direction is correct ?
good question, ( just to clarify, are you asking about the 'silver' colored insert piece that interfaces with the slots on the flash hider itself?) That silver piece does appear to be able to be mounted with either the protruding lug in the forward slot, or the rearward slot. Which way is correct? I would suggest contacting VG6, because the product information card did not seem to specify.
@@JustTheARplatform Yes exactly about that silver piece.....I'll ask them.........thx for feedback :) regards.
I have a used Colt/FN arriving tomorrow and I'm hoping it's not sloppy or FUBAR. The Magpul sight thing my rifle has for OEM is lame AF. Most new offerings for this style of sight are EXPENSIVE or dubious at best. But Who knows if I get some crap thing? - So thanks for a walk through. You guys who compare stuff are kicking internet ass.
Good luck, never tried researching serial numbers of lower receivers to year of production, but that may help re-assure you of what years of 'corporate management ideology' was running each company. All the cliche suggestions like 'buy once, cry once', or ' you get what you pay for ', or 'don't cheap out', still do not matter if the end result... like you say is sloppy or FUBAR.
@@JustTheARplatform It showed up filthy with mud and a little beat up. But after a deep cleaning with compressed air and some Ballistol, it works and clicks good now. Nothing sloppy. I think I'm pleased for the price.
This is my goto battery charger, it charges almost all of the common battery sizes (as noticed in the video, the smaller cylinder batteries may not fit)
Does it change the way it shoots? With & without ?
It is a 'barrel' weight, so expect possible accuracy shift over distance. Also like many other blast diverters, there is the 5th-6th round possible flyer due to the air vortex distortion pattern during 'not slow fire rate' ( i dunno, my own unproven theory )
My new JTS M12AR 12 gauge shotgun, after about 75 rounds hammer pin walked out of one side and gave me a double fire, ordered these and they went in tight and locked very securely so I'll NEVER have to work about that again when shooting 3" shells with #4 Buck. HIGHLY recommend these if you ever run into similar problems.
Yo just a heads up a channel by alvmahn looks like they uploaded this video again two days after this video was posted. Thought id let you know. Noticed it when looking up this products. Same thumbnail too
Good catch, and.... it's my actual FIRST youtube channel, so thank you so much for noticing as well! Mmmmwah!
How's the weight balance for the Hanson barrel? Wanted an 18 in barrel without the bull barrel SPR profile.
It is literally an '18' inch barrel, but for design reasons, Clint went with 17.7, to possibly accomodate certain muzzle attachment length options to fit under certain handguard, or maybe I just don't know and should hide under the desk.
I have two 17.7 hansons and they balance very well even with a bipod, 45 degree red dot and a 4-14 scope and a 14" midwest industries handguard it doesn't feel too heavy and still balances nicely
Terrible idea atraching that sling mount to yout front sight. Do t do that.
yup , agree, barrel flex, which bends the sights in the same direction as the barrel. with a barrel that short, short distances are the 'use-case-scenario'. But attaching it to the lower sling loop or ANYTHING on the barrel with a fixed FSB technically does the same thing by design, so, the FSB setup/2 end handguard setup is a no win scenario. ( if you can guess, i got the item purely for the kitch/retro/camp/uncharted-territory-tech-1960s interest ) also jungle warfare training doctrine is the sling is not used on patrol, only on march
Fiato tononoka police station ap chief camp p makupa police station fiato
Just the video i needed. 👍
It still moves when I have it fully tightened. It still wants to yaw to the left.
Suggest RETURNING the product for exchange or refund! Should feel 'stiff/stable' after setting the tension knob.
Can you unscrew the bipod but leave the mount? For easy and (hopefully) toollless removal / reinstall?
It appears to be designed to be a one-way assembly. The tension knob is 'captured', so removal would require taking the knob off which may cause damage to the item. Look for a throw-lever- option.
Is that puke brown?
It was labeled as 'CB', and does appear to be 'Coyote Brown', but compared to the FDE versions, it does appear to be more of an 'organic' color.
Are the books America's Rifle and Black Rifle II the same?
My understanding is that 'America's Rifle' is a re-issue of Black Rifle II. Not sure if there are any further edits and/or additional material in 'America's Rifle'.
Did you get a verification email when you put your order in? Card was charged but didn’t get an order confirmation.
Yes, I received TWO 'we have received your order' emails. There does seem to be a 1 day timing difference between when card was charged and first email, second email arrived 7 days later.... maybe check your spam folder as well in case it ended up in there. I checked the tactical transition website, and the 'Contact' tab leads to their page with email and telephone number.
I have a .22 cal M4, I'm giving it a birthday present!
Being subscribed to both of your channels, I get to catch the encores!
You may have figured out my 'summer secret' way to fill out those 'missing day' videos on 'alvmahn'. (Alvmahn has partial weeks already scheduled out, but there are 'daily gaps' yet to be filmed (lots of stuff, not enough time, or could be an oversaturated topic).
LET'S GO BRENDA!
Looks like the indexing of the front holes is based on the notch in the back and not on the locking ring. So when you lined them up you weren’t setting them all up as they would attach to the gun. My guess is if you do you’ll see the front holes all end up in the same spot with a large hole at top dead center of the barrel/handguard.
Ya, the attachment is based solely on the timing of the muzzle brake or flash hider 'mounting solution', and that is timed with the solid portion facing straight down, and middle vent straight up. The hump of the latch hinge on all 3 examples perfectly align to top center, its the 'sleeve' portion that appears to have variations in 'weld attachment locating'. I am not as concerned about the front hole 'appearance' versus a smaller diameter muzzle attachment like a 'normal' flash hider, muzzle brake, or 'mounting solution'.
thinking of getting another one, and combining the partitions with the first one to use ALL the partition locations in one 'crate' for smaller categories, and then use the second one for large objects that will fit.
Very cool
I got one in 1993 as my Turning 18 present to myself.
I just picked one up for my milspec model and I really like it for the price. Because I got it for free.
