I Got Bored and Made a Custom TF2 Intro
Out of sheer boredom I whipped up this intro in about an hour and a half. The overall quality of it could be better, but I'm happy with the result.

I've heard that FPS games either have the players be smaller or the environment larger than average, so players don't struggle with doors and other obstacles. A forgot which COD game this was, but the players are like 5'2'' in-game.

On every game it looks same, thats because your cordinands are big numbers. Game engine tries cut data and sent to you rounded value.

Actually, Roblox Engine has the same issue - models, players and map becomes glitchy, like in this video if you go far enough.

Actually, 1 hammer unit is consistently 1 inch in hl2. It does not change scale in games, but does change scale between games.
no, source games use 1 inch hammer units for people and props, but they use 1/16th of a foot hammer units for architecture. in other words, the characters in source games inhabit an oversized world where they are midgets in comparison. go to basically any door in a source game and, measuring it by the standard of 1 unit = 1 inch, you will see that all the doors are at least 8 feet tall, and about 3 or 4 feet wide. average residential buildings ceilings are 128 units off the ground, which is almost 11 feet by the 1 unit = 1 inch standard. that is huge. buildings are oversized in source, because they have to be. not only are we viewing the game on tiny monitors, but the players move at fast speeds. there would be absolutely no way to have a realisticly-scaled world in the typical source game. not only would be play bad and be extremely claustrophobic, but it would look tiny too. if you ever played a source game in VR goggles where your perspective would theoretically be true to life, you'd see how gigantic the world is compared to what's realistic
So if we were inside Source, almost every person irl would be considered giants.
there was no point in going that far, 32k is already the limit, perhaps dictated by the 32-bit architecture or the capabilities of computers at that time, I think that they could well have made the limit to at least 64k or even 128k, because 32k is very little
always in all source engine games one unit was equal to one real inch, and only in TF2 for some reason they decided to change everything and the characters there became about one and a half times taller
I hope you do a video like this one about the map limits of Source 2 Engine one day.

How’d you add the start-up video? Which file do you add the video to, cuz I really wanna do one of these.
Startup videos can be added to the media folder for TF2, located at "team fortress 2/tf/media". In there, you add whatever videos you want and they'll work so long as they're in the .bik file format and as long as a few other weird things don't break it (the valve developer wiki mentions a few of those odd cases). Then, you edit startupvids.txt to list the startup videos you want the game to play, in the order you want them to be played in. If all is done right, it should work.
