I have a question about my BCM. Every blue moon I would get a random red battery light but, it goes away for about a week or a month. When I scan it with my Autel scanner I would get code B1828 (Battery Isolating Relay fault…K57 relay, Terminal 60 Kp210). Is this my BCM going bad or do I need just the K57 relay?

Why didnt you use an induction heater on it? They're "cheap" nowadays and less dangerous (but not safe of course) than an open flame.

The 2003 SL 500 runs fine. One just has to know how to work the shifter with the 5 speed. When buying one make sure it has low mileage and has been taken care off properly. This still won't guarantee the ABC won't fail. Mine did, muscled in the coilover system. Now everything is good in happyville.

I have owned my SL500 for 10 years a couple of years ago changed the ABC pump and batteries other than them issues I don’t have any that you point out in this video everything is perfect and drives as good as new

Having recently gone through this with a low mileage 03s55 and the front suspension. I had exactly the same thing happen where the bit broke in the control arm/ shock set screw. I was able to remove it with a bondhus Allen key, and even that key bent from the force needed. Its nice to see the professional struggle as well;) Ball joints are also very tight so use the Mercedes adapters for ease, and use oem lemforder parts since many aftermarket joints may be impossible to press in. It very easy to work on with the right tools and the w220 is undervalued due to many having the fear that the maintenance is hard, but its not.
