When we went for my morning walk, we noticed a lot of rubbish in the harbour at Wardie Bay. And following the inspiration of another Australian RUclipsr, Beau Miles, we thought that we should take this opportunity to clean up Wardie Bay. The things you find when you do a beach clean-up in Scotland are interesting.

Our last minute Highlands adventure

It was a great plan. Let's kayak Loch Lomond (in the winter). What could go wrong for these Aussies who are still getting to know the Scottish weather? While things did not go as well as we hoped, we still had a great time judging a photography competition and visiting Urquhart Castle.

Good camera work
Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for your hard work. Liked and subbed.
Thanks for watching and subscribing ☺️
Love yous❤❤
Thanks for watching 😊
I am surprised you didn't take down the wall at the door and extended into or left open to the next room could have had a bit more space. Same down to one to three cups per day much healthier and more water.
Thanks for watching 😊 we did look at options for making it more open plan, but it wasn't worth it for the cost and time involved
In Edinburgh taking a wall down and making 1 room out of 2 will devalue the property. Separate kitchens are sought after
Thanks for sharing this, we didn't know that and glad we stuck with separate rooms 😊
Every time we go to a beach or river we should make sure we take away at least a few pieces of rubbish! We especially need to take away any fishing gear that can entangle animals! Better yet dont dump it in the first place!
Totally agree 👍🏻 thanks for watching ☺️
This is so great! You guys are doing a fantastic job, I definitely took notice of the plastering skills.
Yeah we're happy with it.... the great thing is it looks good from the other room 😁
What a massive project 😮😮 haha Jack, love the undo of the screws 😅
Gotta get the job done... 😂🤣
Who has time to undo screws anyway??
Is it the tape that catches flies?
Yep.... 🪰🪰🦟🦟
That looks like it's going to be a really nice flat, and the kitchen is much nicer already. Glad you've made it enough of a home already that you can make your first ceremonial cuppa.. BTW, the weird thing in the kitchen at around ruclips.net/video/Ii_2sDHOv68/видео.htmlsi=SB5gp9qbIphd7k-J&t=266 was a well-populated & very aged strip of flypaper. Probably best not saved for the new kitchen decor. 🤣
Thanks for watching 😊 the fly paper went in the bin very soon after the clock 😆
Congratulations. It looks as though you have a lot of work ahead of you but I'm sure it's going to be beautiful!! Health, Love and Happiness in your new home.
Thanks for watching 😊 lots of work, but that was part of the plan, we think 🤔
You guys are incredible - best of luck in your new place!
Thanks for watching 😊 still a bit more work to do but it's getting closer
Yes Girl, it's about time you traded in that crusty old co-host for a new and improved model.
Ha ha, but the crusty old co-host gets my 'mum' jokes and doesn't do an eye roll 🙄 🤣😂😆
I did no eye rolls.. and you can't deny you guys have made some handsome sons.
Not denying that 😊
Still looks chilly over there! Pretty countryside though 😍
There are days that are definitely chilly, but then we are getting more and more beautiful sunny days 🌞
Great video! It was nice to Josh.
Thanks, we had a great time ☺️
It's me from yesterday with the blue jacket 🧥 at Bathgate. Great video and you have a new follower! 👍
Oh cool, thanks for watching and subscribing 😊really enjoyed our conversation
What a workshop! That looks like an incredible experience
It was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience! Thanks for watching 😊
Well done!

Dundee is my home city although I haven't lived since I was 16. There is so much history as you would expect from any city. Dundee's people have been responsible for many of the worlds innovations and large companies across the globe, from the Gaming to the car industry (a Dundee person helped form the car company Dodge) as well as the three 'J', Jute Jam and Journalism to name a few.
Wow, thanks for watching and sharing a bit about Dundee's history. We'll have to do another visit 🙂
Swimming in cold water. Get a wetsuit. Stimulates the immune system.
We love chill swims, or at least Jack does 😆 have to get back to doing them
Great job guys. From Melbourne Australia 👏😁
Thanks and thanks for watching 😊
Every bit counts, we should all be on this project to clean up our environment
Agreed 👍🏻 thanks for watching ☺️
Thank you so much 😊
Happy to do our bit 😊 thanks for watching
Legend, looking forward to cleaning up with you later in the year.
We'd love to have you help anytime 😊
Wish we gave it a go before we came home.
There's always next time, it's invigorating 😁
I thought at first you were talkiing about Scotland real shames IE our aristocrats selling Scotland to the English and the abolishment of free speech in Scotland implemented by a muslim first ministe.
thanks for watching
G'day and welcome to Scotland guys. I am a Scossie who lived near Brisbane for 17 years. "Stanthorpe mostly" I am glad to see you are experiencing the welcome that I got when I lived in Australia. Lots of things are different but nothing serious. You are going to miss the sun though :-)
Thanks for watching ☺️. We're loving being here and glad the 'days' are getting longer 🌞
@@taylors-explore I tell people there are only two cities in the world I would consider living in. Brisbane and Edinburgh. I have spent time in many countries. And despite the weather this wee one is probably the best when all things are considered. A bit biased of course :-)
@@ianmacewan9416 I must have got lucky then Ian, 25 years in Edinburgh apart from time in the Army in Cyprus, then here to Redcliffe which is next door to Brissie, been here since 1964.PS my grannies maiden name is Taylor.
@@duncancallum I lived in Strathpine for about a year Duncan. I know Redcliffe well.

Ha ha 😂 thanks for watching
My method... - Make it your daily walk - Don't over do it or the huge effort may deter you from returning - Carry a hand-held hook scale and weigh what you are about to dump in the bin - Keep a record and running total of what you collect - you will be amazed! Also good motivation You will be amazed how soon before you see a real difference and you can extend your collection area

So much rubbish, good job clearing it up
Thanks for watching ☺️
Enjoyed this. Hope you're settling in without too many dramas over there. Cheers from the QLD heat. 😅
Thanks for watching. We are settling into the single digit temperature days we'll 😊
Welcome to Scotland! My home is Loch Lomond but I have lived in Edinburgh and it is a great city. You are correct, if you experience a problem then just ask. We don't bite like the midges do. however, you are in winter and at the moment on the East Coast so none there. Announce where you are going because we can give you local knowledge!!!
Thanks for watching and love the idea of local knowledge. Any hidden gems around Edinburgh or Loch Lomond or anywhere in Scotland? ☺️
Scotland biggest disgrace is the snp.
Thanks for watching ☺️
Jam first❤
Correct 😀 thanks for watching
Good job! Many thanks!
Happy to help ☺️

Edinburgh guy here. Calton Hill. No. 2 is the way to say it locally. 👍
Thanks for clarifying how to say it ☺️ and thanks for watching
Wow. That sure has changed since I was there last. I am 77 and when we were kids Mum and Dad took us to Happy Valley for a swim. The way the beach was then is very similar to what it is now. We swam in pools just like is there now. But you used to be able to drive out there to a car park. They even had a circus with a large tent out there. There were also two diving boards in the water at Bulcock Beach. We had a ton of fun jumping off them. I can't wait to go back there in Mar 24 to check it all out. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great time back in Caloundra
Next time you come to Scotland 🏴 come and visit Glasgow
Definitely will be doing more videos around Glasgow
It’s Carlton hill
Thanks 👍🏼
I think it was built for the naming of the dead “ fallen soldiers
Thanks for watching ☺️
So the Tories underfunding is a shame to Scotland

The money they have squandered on ferries would pay for several monuments. Would have been cheaper to give everybody a shovel and dig a tunnel out to the islands.
Glad you visited Loch Lomond, that's my neck of the woods! I can see that mountain (Ben Lomond) from my kitchen and use it as a weather barometer...if I can't see Ben Lomond I know it's raining, and if I can see it, then I know it's going to rain! And yeah you pronounced Urquhart right!
It is beautiful around Loch Lomond (and pretty much everywhere). Thanks for watching ☺️
Nice video! Next time you visit Glasgow head to the West End and check out Kelvingrove, Glasgow Uni and the Botanic Gardens. The squirrels in the Botanic gardens will literally eat food right out of your hands!
We do plan on doing another Glasgow video or 2 and will put these places on the list
Thank you so much for clearing this beach. I'm always horrified by the amount of rubbish that accumulates on some of our beaches. I think there are some organised litter picks in Edinburgh from time to time.
Thanks for watching ☺️
Just found your channel and really enjoying it! You beat me up Arthur's seat, I keep meaning to climb it when I'm Edinburgh! A good walk to about the same height is Conic Hill at Loch Lomond but it's going to be closed for a while as the path is currently blocked. It's definitely worth a climb once the path reopens!
Thanks for the feedback on the channel ☺️ it sounds like you could write us a good list of places to visit ☺️ keep the suggestions coming
You're a wee bit out of breath, sounds like you need to exercise more.
You sat at home on your own and typed that out, clicked reply, and thought "yeah" , not sure what that says about you but you can make your own judgement
