I really like the 2 door model XJ's. I have a 98 Wrangler that I have been building on also. i mostly use it for overlanding now.

I like the idea of the PVC pipe on the tarp as a curtain. I planned to use a tarp like that but was going to do it like a curtain and store it to one side. This is much better.

@@Randidly1 Awesome, thanks for watching and the sub.
I like the prybar rack idea! I already made the tape measure holder after seeing that style clip on tool belt.
You are smarter then me, I had to slam my roll of strap in a tool box before I realized it could serve as a tape measure clip. LOL

love this philosophy. especially as a poor person lol. sometimes a rusty old nail is better than spending $50
@@The_Bearded_LadyI have peers that make great money, live in big houses, and drive new trucks. Then I have peers that make half the money, live in a small humble home, drive used vehicles, and use rusty nails. Guess which group tends to be richer...

I don't know if the swapping your pickets was suppose to be funny but it was.
Thank you.. This Camara thing is hard, but hopefully as I get more confident we'll see more of that.
Hahahaha
I am so glad to see more of the use what you have concept. Even though the typical home owner wont the tools or skills to fabricate from one item (particularly metal) to another the concepts are awesome. If someone is looking for a solution these may spark an idea that works for them. They may see an idea outside their skill set but may be just the push they need to try a new skill. It that very thing that talked me into getting a bench vise, angle grinder, and die-grinders to help restore some wood working tools. Also I am steeling the tarp and pvc barrier for my small shop.
I hope to encourage folks to try new things. That would be awesome. Being just a hobbyist welder I have less then $600.00 dollars in my dedicated welding equipment, of course I have much more in tools that can do multiple functions.
they could probably do it part way and still save a ton. screw/bolting angle iron to old scrap wood (or even screw/bolt/rivoting to other metal). you can get around welding though not as strong or fun ;) but yeah, $1000 to invest in welding/metal working would be well spent. and you could make it back just fixing a few things that would cost a lot to repair or replace.
@@The_Bearded_Lady Absolutely, good point. Tons of fastening systems nowadays. I'd Guarantee a $1000 welding setup and a little practice would pay itself off. In how long is up to the user, but my used 250 welder has paid for itself 20 times over the years.
@@bauerscreations3436 less would probably be just fine too. I just figure $1k if they have nothing or know they want to get serious with it. Plus it is how much I have budgeted to save for a welder and a bunch of metal stock for a project;) but yeah $1k will get you a nice multi machine ($400-600 new), a selection of different wire and sizes, some metal to practice on, and all the safety stuff. Plus a grinder and some cut off and flap discs etc. And maybe more if they already have some stuff or buy used etc. And if they buy it for a couple projects and it pays for itself and they decide it isn't for them beyond, I reckon they could get a good chunk of the money back they originally paid selling it and be sitting positive:)
So many useful ideas. Always think outside the box and use what you have.
Thank you.
In the best way, these "use what you have" videos are both useless and useful. Nobody is going to have what you have, they have what they have. But as part of a larger video collection... all of us showing what we did... as a pool of useless knowledge it becomes super useful.
Yes it does. I know I've used a lot of ideas I've seen, and then I question a lot I see. I tried to include mostly stuff I haven't seen at all or to much of.
I think this video is packed full of unique and creative ideas to make things easy and save space in a garage or shop. It’s nice that this things are mostly about re-purposing materials instead of having to buy something all the time. Even though I don’t work out in a shop the creativity of it all is pretty cool. ❤
Thank you
Your neighbors are lucky to have you living next door. Our neighbors look out for each other and just as you said, if someone like this entered our home uninvited, they would likely find a new hole in flesh somewhere. I'm grateful my neighbors are armed former military personnel and we live in state has our back.
Neighbors wasn't so lucky 30 years ago when I was a teen. 😆 house has been family for 35 years. For the handful of neighbors that have been around that long are pretty close. Another neighbor called me after she noticed activity, later my wife actually seen the lady enter the property. So we already had a heads-up.
That was a try to be squatter... nice job...
