He’s gonna need a less obvious place to hide the pine tar. Can’t reach for the same spot on your belt every pitch.
😂
Hopefully Pete Walker can work his magic in Toronto
It seems obvious that the O's system isn't great for pitchers. Next to none of the top prospects have been or are pitchers (and there have been a lot of top prospects the last few years) and it also seems like its always the hitting side of signing guys that overperforms a la' O'hearn. A solid veteran like Burnes might be fine but I would not want to be a young pitcher in this system.
Yeah I agree the O system is goated lowkey
Here are my thoughts on McDermott: McDermott didn’t have a great debut, but it was about what you could expect from a guy with a 4 ERA in Triple-A. I’m not the biggest fan of McDermott, he doesn’t have the best stuff and his command has always been spotty. I think he’s more of a reliever, and probably not a high leverage one either. His fastball is maybe average at 94 mph and little movement, it’s not great at creating whiffs either (19% whiff rate this start). His slider and curveballs are good pitches, and I thought his changeup was really solid too. The changeup has a lot of tail on it, and tunnels pretty well with the fastball. Unfortunately, you definitely don’t want to be using an average fastball down in the zone to MLB hitters, but the changeup is good enough by itself. It seems like the Orioles aren’t going to give him much of a chance this year, he already got sent to Triple-A and the Eflin trade gives him even less of a chance. McDermott has back-end of rotation ceiling if he improves the command, but he’s already 26 with no signs of that coming.
This is batting practice. I’m betting against the astros.
Wow! Best superstar for Boston and baseball since Mookie. This guy kills! I hope he breaks Cal Ripken’s record.
Best all around baseball player in the Major League's
I like when on his third hit the announcer just said "double" like bros seen it a million times

Special year this year
Crazy🔥🔥
Whose idea was it to bring up this home run throwing machine. This dude is not ready.
How many homeruns did he give up?
Here are my thoughts on Ryan: Ryan was definitely lucky to give up only 1 (unearned) run this outing, and overall his outing made me a little more cautious about his future. He gave up lots of good contact and his command was pretty awful. He has 6 different pitches, all are at least average stuff-wise. Nothing really stands out as a true plus pitch though, which kind of surprised me given the great grades from scouts. In my opinion his best pitch was the cutter, which didn’t actually “cut” much but had really late vertical movement that dodged a bunch of bats. The slider and curveballs seemed just average to me, and he couldn’t get any whiffs at all on either which is somewhat concerning. As I said earlier, he couldn’t find the zone much at all and consistently missed a few inches out of the zone and was leaving fastballs in the middle of the plate. His fastball has good velocity, but also only managed 1 whiff because of his below average ride on it. Bad command and average stuff is definitely not a recipe for success in the MLB, I think he needs to use the cutter more as it seems to be his best pitch. Still, if he commands his stuff even a little better, his 6 pitch arsenal will keep hitters guessing no matter what. This is definitely a more concerning debut than I thought from such a highly touted prospect. He’ll probably be able to stick in the rotation for now, but I don’t think the Dodgers will be eager to keep him around once the rest of their rotation comes back healthy.
It looks like he only throws it about 10% of the time depending on who he's facing.
The wall is 315' away.
He possesses a vicious angry swing !!!
Locomotive SPEEEEED!!!!!!
Here are my thoughts on Wrobleski: Wrobleski didn’t have a great debut and overall didn’t really impress me either stuff wise. He mainly used 3 pitches, the four-seam, slider, and cutter. That’s not the greatest pitch arsenal because everything is pretty hard, and the slider/cutter have similar movement profiles. He also has a changeup that he used, but only rarely and it doesn’t show that much movement. He has a decent mid-90s fastball that’s probably only average, especially because of his way below average extension. I think if Wrobleski had a lower arm slot and more extension, he could really add a level of deception that he doesn’t really have right now. Those would make him a nightmare against lefties, especially with his sweeping slider. The slider is good, sometimes it looks more like a curveball, and he had one really nice painted one at 1:49. His cutter is very similar but is slightly harder and has less horizontal movement, a solid tool to use against right handed hitters mainly. His command was pretty good, but the stuff demands it as he can’t miss in the zone with his below average stuff. I’m not sure if Wrobleski is ready for the majors yet, and he really has to start using the changeup if he wants to succeed. I really think an arm slot change could help him, but the changeup is very important too.
He wont last. He tells his fb
Great vid if u can could do more games of his ?
Got him in 21/25 fantasy.leagues this year and I'm loving it. Go kid!!!
Not a “knuckleballer” when he throws 4 other pitches lol
이 선수가 25만달러에 온다고? 확실히 변화구와 이닝소화에 문제가 있는 투수지만.. 그래도 작년 브랜든만큼 해줄 투수인데
Going to reserve judgement until next year. Kyle Harrison was shaky at times last year, but you could tell he had really good stuff. Birdsong is up in the MLB way too early. Giants just ran out of choices in starting pitching.

Here are my thoughts on Festa: This debut fell off the rails in the 4th inning, and overall it wasn’t a great debut with only 2 strikeouts. Still, Festa has a good 3 pitch mix that just wasn’t able to fool the diamondback hitters today. All of his pitches are at least average, but nothing that will really blow you away. Festa has a good mid-90s fastball with about average carry, making it an above average pitch overall. The gyro slider breaks very hard and is definitely the better off speed pitch, the other being the changeup. The changeup looked good and has really good horizontal movement, but there’s not much vertical so it wasn’t super effective down in the zone. He did a pretty good job of locating it away though and it looked good there. Festa has pretty good command overall, maybe a bit erratic at times but enough to be a starter. Festa doesn’t have the greatest stuff in the league, and for a fringe top 100 prospect he performed fine. Festa should be a decent enough back end of the rotation guy, although it certainly wasn’t a debut to remember.
Those Knucks to the first hitter of the 4th inning were pure FILTH.
Here are my thoughts on Birdsong: Birdsong has had a rapid ascent to the majors after getting drafted in the 6th round in 2022. Some of that is because of the Giants only having 2 other starters right now, which caused them to have 2 straight bullpen games. Anyways, Birdsong was fine in his MLB debut, but I’m not sure if he’ll have much success in future outings. The fastball is surprisingly very hittable despite good velocity around the mid-90s. Most of that is due to the well below average induced vertical break and only okay horizontal break. Fortunately, Birdsong seems to understand this and uses the fastball almost exclusively in the upper part of the zone. That helps create more whiffs and limit hard contact he would have if he lived all around the zone with the fastball. Birdsong also has quite good secondaries, the slider and curveball being above average. There is slight concern with his stuff all having a very similar look, with the gyro slider and 12-6 curveball. His changeup helps give a slightly different look, as it has a small bit of horizontal movement but still is more vertical. I was impressed with his changeup usage, he seemed very comfortable with it and he located it well in the bottom of the zone. Unfortunately, Birdsong has below average control of his pitches for a starter and misses by a few inches pretty commonly. This will limit the innings he’ll be able to pitch since he is throwing a lot of pitches, but it’s not the worst thing ever because he does have good enough stuff that he can get hitters to chase out of the zone. Overall, I think Birdsong has more of a reliever look right now, and I don’t predict (like I mentioned earlier) he will be a very good starter right now in the MLB.
I think you perfectly worded his intelligence on the mound. He has a good head on his shoulders.
Here are my thoughts on Bloss: Bloss overall had a decent debut, although it was cut short because of shoulder inflammation. He got called up directly from Double-A because of the Astros dire situation in their rotation. Bloss has 3 at least average pitches, with his fastball being the best. He gets plenty of ride on his fastball which makes up for it only averaging about 94 mph. His slider and curveball are solid secondaries, with the slider acting more like a cutter since it has high-80s velocity. The curveball can definitely get him some whiffs too, it had sharp break although sometimes he left it up a little bit too much. His changeup is a real work in progress right now, it didn’t look like it had much movement at all. That will probably give him some trouble against lefties, though the slider/cutter could help. His command was decent this game, so I definitely think he’s ready to contribute in an MLB rotation, but hopefully he can develop the changeup or else he might get knocked around by those lefties.
Wow
Here are my thoughts on Thorpe: Thorpe was fine in his debut, showing off his plus-plus changeup very well. We’ll start with the change, it’s incredible, you think it’s a fastball grooved down the middle until it falls off the face of the earth straight towards the plate. He used the changeup more than any other pitch and had a 37% whiff rate on it. His 2nd best pitch is the slider/sweeper, the sweeper is a bit slower and has more horizontal break than the slider. They’re probably just average pitches but are good enough to get some whiffs. Even though Thorpe has two at least average pitches, Thorpe’s fastball is really bad and may limit him to back end of the rotation ceiling. It averaged 91 mph and unlike a guy like Landon Knack, it doesn’t feature any impressive rise for a guy with such low velocity. Some people are able to make up for bad fastballs with great command, and while Thorpe limits walks he really didn’t have great fastball command in this outing. He has good command of the changeup though and did paint some fastballs on the edges. If Thorpe can command his fastball better, there’s no doubt he’ll be a potential all-star pitcher, but right now the fastball is so awful it diminishes his good secondaries. It’s a really unique issue of a guy with good secondaries but a bad fastball. He’s only 23, but I’ve never seen a guy be able to develop a fastball from below average to at least average so late in a career. As I said above, I think Thorpe might just be a back of the rotation guy despite the phenomenal changeup.
Hes garbage also. Watched him pitch against the angels and he tossed more wild pitched in a game than ive ever seen. He has no control or command.
