In this video, I demonstrate how to solve common TPMS sensor issues using a 2007 Toyota Avalon. The Avalon uses the direct style TPMS sensor. The direct style TPMS uses an actual TPMS sensor, meaning they have TPMS sensors in each wheel and each wheel transmits its own pressure and also temperature. The indirect TPMS style do not use TPMS sensors in each wheel, rather they rely on wheel speed a...

Ambient Temperature sensor diagnostics on 2015 Mercedes Benz GL450

Average temperature on a regular Ghanaian day is about 90 Fahrenheit (32 Celsius). If your AC is malfunctioning, you’re in trouble. If you’ve been having AC issues (especially on auto mode) and have changed one thing after the other without results, this may be worth a look. Behind fuel economy and under-car noises, I get the most questions about check engine light. In today’s job I tackle an i...

      @Mikeoscope great. I am a mechanic myself. I have a 09 e350 put a used engine now I am getting p0016 code. Checked the timing marks on the cams and they are off. I am about to take on this job.

      @@ningishziddashar3480 You’re all set then. Hopefully it’s the chain and nothing more. Let me know if you have any questions. Don’t forget the tensioner on the right side of engine behind the alternator.

      @Mikeoscope I am getting the timing kit and balance shaft. I am suspecting the balance shaft teeth have worn, causing the timing to be off.

      @@ningishziddashar3480 Gotcha! Mine was fine. If yours is 09 , it’s quite possible that your balance shaft is intact because most of the issues were on the early models. 06-08 mostly. May he a good idea to see the problem before ordering parts. 🤔

    Hi, Can you help me with this question, please? 2008 ML350, M272 Engine, W164, I was replacing the Cam Adjuster when the chain jumped and I had to take the timing cover off to time the chain. I have to take both lower and upper oil pans out to put the cover back on. I did take out the lower pan but to remove the UPPER pan it looks like I need to lift the engine, My question is: To lift the engine, is it removing the engine mount bolts, Torque convertor bolts, and unbutton the engine from the trans or is there something else to it? Does the transmission neeeds support when lifting the engine? Thank you for your time.

    • @Mikeoscope
      @Mikeoscope 15 дней назад

      @@Smudg To remove the engine only, you only need to remove the 2 bolts that fasten the engine to the engine mount. After that, you can just remove the transmission to engine bolts. You won’t need to worry about the torque converter because it will be bolted to the engine when you pull the engine. Another option. If you have help, you could also pull the entire assembly from the front of the vehicle. Engine plus transmission. This way you won’t have to fight the transmission to get the engine back in later. The only downside is that you will likely have to remove your radiator and front grille to make room to pull the entire assembly out. No, the transmission does not need support. There is a bracket that supports the transmission and transfer case assembly. I hope this helps.

      @@Mikeoscope Thank you, I am trying to raise the engine enough to remove the upper oil pan. Do I still need to remove the transmission to engine bolts and support the transmission?

    • @Mikeoscope
      @Mikeoscope 14 дней назад

      @@Smudg Not according to Mercedes Benz. You will only be removing the bottom bolts that the go from the transmission to the upper oil pan and the rest of the bolts will be intact so the transmission will still be supported by whatever is supporting the engine. Placing additional support underneath the transmission would not hurt but not necessary.
