How to Add Bite Ramps in Meshmixer
Adding bite ramps using Meshmixer is a simple and predictable process. There are 2 main reasons you would want to add bite ramps - 1) to create a shape in the retainer or aligner that would prevent teeth from closing (for example, in deep bite corrections). 2) to create a template that could be filled with composite resin and bonded to the teeth to get an exact shape (in this case a bite ramp).

How to Add text to A Model in Meshmixer
Просмотров 66 тыс.6 лет назад
How to Add Text in Meshmixer In this video, I show you a simple way to add text to a model. Text can be the patients name, the date the model was taken, the aligner number (eg 2 of 4), an office logo, a filing area, etc. If you are printing models in your office, don't use a sharpie! Emboss or deboss text. It's really easy and only needs a few steps. You can do this on a Mac or PC. I hope the v...
How to add a Pontic Tooth using Meshmixer
Просмотров 4 тыс.6 лет назад
How to add a Pontic Tooth using Meshmixer. Using the FREE software Meshmixer you can add pontic teeth to your 3D Models. You will need to download a set of 3D models of teeth. The best and easiest to install ones can be found at the following links: Link to the tooth library files (careful...the full download is 250 MB): Google Drive: drive.google.com/file/d/1dyPrL3_UGa_OLVpsypDne5YkQ2b5Gjp3/vi...
The files from the link are not available, can you update these links?
I updated the link. That should work. Let me know if it doesn't
Superb sir🎉
I want to do it in mesh mixer. Not have to import garbage.
I use Meshmixer and Netfabb every day as a digital laboratory technician. I would like to get away from Netfabb due to a 1600% price increase, that is not a typo. Do you have an alternative to Netfabb? THANKS
Fantastic! Do you know how to make 70 degree inclined planes for building a Twin Block?
This doesn't work for me. When I add the object, Meshmixer just prints a square shaped blob on the model.
Fantastic...How can I create Twin Block type bites?
Easy on a flat surface, not so easy on a curved surface.
i SUBRSCRIBBLE
When I try to add the text I just get a blank square, any advice?
hello! how can we measure angles using meshmixer?
Great! Thanks!
How did you remesh so fast? Do you have a lot of memory or just a powerful machine?
came across issues it says draw a loop of curves to remesh. have no idea how to do it
Isnt working for me. I load the stencil and press the left button and nothing.
What program do you recommend for MacBooks since Paint is not available?
Didn't work. I imported the stensil text pattern, but no text got stamped, just a circle bump., and the elected area i did went away once i clicked sculpt.
If you click on my name, you can view the video I have uploaded to youtube. It shows the trouble I am having. Not sure if you can offer any advice as to what may be going wrong. Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to explain how this is done. You're video was very helpful to me. On a side note, I followed your directions and settings. When I add the stencil I have created which is just a name, it does not add it to the image. It looks like a few bumps. If i keep left clicking, I start to see the name but the more I click it looks like spikes or mountains...Not sure what is going on
Thanks my friend, just what i was looking
Is there a way to make the text come outwards rather than inwards
Extremely helpful! Thank you for making this!
Great Video. Thank you
Make sure you follow the bit about the refinement section at 5:06! 100-0-100-100 for the 4 bars, the "refine" bar being at 100 is the most important!
THIS
You can also use 3D paint ,there you can make from 2D a 3D image and import as a obj in meshmixer.
how did you flatten the 2 surfaces initially, and how did you make both surfaces different colors? Just started using this software thanks.
Hi! I need help adding Christian Brenes Pontic Library to Meshmixer. How did you do it?
Great video!!! Thanks for your clear and direct explanation..
awesome!
I would like to thank you for a wonderful and clear explanation on how to do the embossing on Meshmixer. Before I saw your video I've got a weird result. What I've been missing is the process of "remeshing" the area where I want to place the emboss. Now I'm happy for the good result.
Hi, can I ask why I add text emobss way, the text extrude out in another side?
Nice work Dr!
uff. non mi carica il file .png
Can you emboss the names on the bottom of the model? there is a lot more room and won't interfere with the retainer / aligner
I'm not a dentist but this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you very much
I'm not a dentist either, but this is a cool technique!
Great video. Will it also be possible to add vector files like a chip carving pattern to a curved stl-file?
Man, this is dope! Great video! You've saved me hours of life!
cool, nice stuff, thanks
Great video! your method works well. Another way to accomplish the remesh is to use make solid. It works for all surfaces. edit>remesh>make solid. Turn the solid accuracy and the mesh density all the way up and your entire model will be remeshed. This will allow you put text on any surface, even curved surfaces. Note: If the model is large it can take a few minutes to calculate.
I would suggest getting a pop filter for your mic. It will help with the "P" not overmodulating and sounding so harsh.
An easier way is to make the label on Tinkercad, export it as STL, and just join it to the model. Need to transform, and move it and scale it. A lot less steps.
Hey, :) Thx.
We working on debossing on a ring and getting an embossing on the opposite side (inside of the band) by accident. Is there something we can do in the settings for hollow objects.
For mac it's Command+Left click for deboss
i cannot get it to work and my model is already solid.. any thoughts?i need helppp lol
