Hi there nice video! I buy the same they came with no bolts. If i use the existing bolts will fit?
Hi. Thank you. It's been a while since I installed it, but I'm pretty sure I didn't have any screws with it either. It's just a thin sheet of metal. The thread of the old screws is sufficient. Have fun screwing my friend 👍🏻
Ótimo vídeo, em cada detalhe.
Vielen Dank mein Freund. Sehr gerne
@@combertos_on_tour Durch dein Video habe ich den Mut dazu gefasst
Why would you wire them up like that ? On my versys i wired them up to my horn , this way they can only come on with the ignition on and there's no chance if forgetting to turn them off as they go off with.the ignition
Hi. I didn't want to damage any other cable. Especially since I don't know exactly which cable is for which. That's why I just did it according to the instructions. If you are sure, you can of course connect the cable somewhere else. The heated grips have an automatic switch-off. If you forget to turn it off and the battery voltage drops, the heater switches off. Greetings and good driving 👋🏻
Geile Maschine
super-you did insane upload!take care,
these are a must for the Versys 650. OE windshield worthless. I am 6'1" tall and with it adjusted all the way up I did not have any buffeting. I actually would hold my hand over my head to see where the wind would catch. It was calm even at the top of my helmet. I could ride with helmet shield up and felt nothing in face. best thing one with a 650versys could do!
Hi, i am as tall as and is so nice what are you saying but i have a question, do you have the 2015-2022 model right? I have a 2018 and im looking for a good windcreen, the oem is so short
@@Jorge_80 mine was the 2018. I still ran it all the way up but had no buffeting at all and could run with visor up an feel no wind in my face. Best option out thee for the versys 650 IMO.
@@leesamuelson mine is a 2018 too. Glad to hear that, i think this is the optimal, windscreen at his highest position 0 wind and noise. If you want some fresh air you can put in low position and go. Thanks mate, its a pain buying a windscreen praying and waste the money if doesnt work
Grazie mille amico mio. Sì, non è un problema. posso consigliare. Un saluto e buon viaggio.
👏👏👏
Sehr detailliertes, gut nachvollziehbares und in jeder Sprache verständliches Video! Vielen Dank!
Vielen Dank Bastii311 👍🏻
Could you do a video on how to remove these because I live in Saudi Arabia and my hands are getting sore. I imported my bike from Iceland.
Great video.
Good video, But I think you put the right one on the left and the left on the right'
Hi. This is not possible because the sizes are different. Kind regards 👋🏻
What kind of model is this Oxford?
Touring 👋🏻
Thanks for the video. My Versys is the same model, exactly, so this was very helpful. One amusing thing: I didn't know I had a "pass" button for the headlight until I saw you putting on the left hand grip in the video.
Ha ha. Me too)))))
hi I was wondering if you could give me info on the accessory bar you have fitted for sat nav mount, i have a 2019 Versys 650
I bought these from Ali Express. Simply enter your motorcycle and you will definitely find it. You can probably buy them on ebay too. Best regards
@@combertos_on_tour Cheers
👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍👌👌🏍️Versys💘
Can you please give a link for this ??
Great video, but I can't stand the aesthetics of the Oxfords. That big control box, while handy to have for the built-in switched power, is so ugly and literally stands out like dogs balls.
Of course, that's not for everyone. But I see the whole bike as an adventure bike. Things like that don't bother me. Kind regards
My dogs balls are the dogs bollix))
Too short... missing steps and details. I bought the Puig for my 2021 Versys 650. 1) The four holes on the windscreen on the Puig are too small and need to be drilled out! Puig needs to update there model and supply the grommets and metal sleeves. 2) Puig sends you nothing but the windscreen. No thinner grommets, no shorter inner metal sleeves, good f'n luck with that. 3} The long oval metal gasket... you show it laying on the table but NOT where it goes in the assembly. Why is that important? Because the minute you unscrew the four bolts everything falls all over the table and you forget what goes where. Luckily, the fairings pictures of a 2020 on Bike Bandit or Pro Caliber shows the order of assembly. All I see on your video is a hand screwing and unscrewing pieces apart and together without clarity. Sorry, crap video. Learn to do better camera work.
Hello. Of course you don't need to drill or machine anything. The accessories are included, but are not in the bag where the windshield is, but hidden in the paper closure in a small bag. You must have thrown it away. The order you have to assemble it is exactly the same as you disassembled the old one. Every child can remember that. Understand if you're upset because it didn't work out for you, but don't blame others. Maybe your skills are not enough to install it. Then simply have it done by a workshop. Despite your not so nice news, have a good trip.
hi from which year is the Versys?
Hi. 2021
I have watched your videos and they are very good and show your clean work. Can you help me understand how you connected the electrical for the hand grip to make them switch controlled? I have the same bike, lovely to ride! Many thanks
Hi. Thank you for your praise. I connected the power cable directly to the battery. The control module has ready-made connections. You can't go wrong there. Best regards
For the Versys, it's better to choose the Adventure or the sports one. Because the original lengt of the grips on Versys is 123 mm. Thus if you choose the touring model, you have a little space between the hotgrips and the bar end wheight. it's not dangerous but not very pretty
Meilleures salutations .
Hi mate where did you plug the cable for the gps? Directly on the battery?
Hi. Check out this video. I described it there. Best regards ruclips.net/video/VADAIEnN0jY/видео.html
Than you very much ! It's perfectly working !
You're welcome. Glad I helped you with that. Good ride
Hello, can you tell me what you used to attach the controller to the handle bar?
So I unscrewed the handguard and then simply screwed on the metal bracket in between. The control unit is attached to the bracket with double-sided tape and screws.
Tnx a lot. Im searching this type of video a long time ago. I order same bracket for myself and am been scared if windscrean go to top position but now i see how bracket go. Tnx once more. Good job!
You're welcome. Glad I helped you with that. Good ride
Do you know the gauge of the male and female cable connectors? my usb charging unit came with different connectors and have to replace them before I mount the thing. Also I see you used Loctite to mount the unit, correct?
Hi. I can no longer tell you the dimensions of the connections. Sorry. Yes, I used Loctite to be on the safe side. Best regards
Are you happy with it?
Hi. In any case, much better than the original. Maybe a wing on top would be perfect for me, as the wind still gently brushes my helmet. Best regards
@@combertos_on_tour thanks, I got it but I still need to install it
I picked up the same bike!
Awesome, Im about to install the gps cable myself, already came with usb and 12v from the dealer... so i only unplug the usb cables and attach the gps cable to it ! Thanks for this !
LG
Great video. Did you use the touring version as I see you didn't have to trim the grips? Any thoughts on the throttle side placement to prevent hitting the brake lever if you're trailing the front brake with some throttle?
Hi. Thanks very much. Yes, this is the touring version. I didn't have to shorten the handles. Since I never accelerate and operate the front brake at the same time, I have no impairment. You can also position the throttle in such a way that there will be no problems even then.
@@combertos_on_tour Thanks for the information !
Nice video, thank you for taking the time to make it. Unrelated but what is that mount that you have under the windscreen ? It look sharp !
@@Loiczzr this is a bracket from Aliexpress. The charging station for my Tom Tom sat nav is on the bracket. You can see the assembly in one of my other videos. Best regards
@@combertos_on_tour by any chance do you have a link for it ? I wouldnt know how to call it...😆😆
Mega
Das sieht nach Freiheit aus! Klasse 👍

Hi. Ja genau. Alles schon vorbereitet. 👍🏻
@@combertos_on_tour nice, danke! :)
@@combertos_on_tour Weißt Du, ob das auch für die Versys 650 Baujahr 2016 gilt? Ist ja prinzipiell die gleiche Modellevolutionsstufe seit 2015.

What is the name/brand of this stand?
Do you mean the mount for the satnav in this video? From Ali Express. No Brand. If you mean the main stand ... it's from constands. Best regards
@@combertos_on_tour thank you! one last question: where did you connect the power? Because I hear different options. And is it switching off when the motorcycle is off to avoid low battery. Thanks!!
@@pietervlaemynck2502 Hi. The TomTom charger is attached to the same cable where the USB socket is connected. Yes, both go out when the motorcycle is off.
