VOSTOK AMPHIBIA - Review and 5 Year Experience FREEDIVING
Welcome back ladies and gentleman,
long time no see.
Todays topic is going to be the legendary Vostok Amphibia. This little timepiece was my first automatic watch and I have it for around 5 years now.
So if you want to know what my opinion about this very interesting watch is, keep watching.
I'll probably do a continuation on this watch in the future because I just use it quite frequently inspite of having many more (expensive) watches.
I hope you have a great day and enjoy the video! :)

So in this video I'm talking about the Mora Knife 546 Limited Edition 2018. I've owned this interesting knife for a little longer that two years and I'm very glad with it. I'm thinking of getting this watch, I like its unfussy style. They've now slowed the beat rate down so you get eighty hours of power reserve, you only need to wind it every three days or so. I love the Alps, I need to get back to the mountains soon.

I’ve had it since April & it’s amazing. I’ve also picked up some other watches since then but I always go back to this one. I recently bought a no time to die nato & it pairs really well with it.

Nice video, and also, I think you can adjust the spring inside the bezel that would make it not as easy to pop off and also a little more firm for turning. Nice watch!

I got a Vostok Amphibia that I bought new some years ago for a great price, shipped from Belarus. It's ben said that these watches are generally not good timekeepers but the one I got runs consitsantly +3-4 seconds a day, one of my most accurate watches on par with my Rolexes! Great amplitude too so the movement is running very well. I modified mine with a much better aftermarket bracelet, looks a bit like a Rolex oyster bracelet, also the bezel was swapped out with one that looks like a Submariner bezel, seagreen to match the dial, looks totally different with that, much better looking as the original bezel is not a looker.

You shouldn’t lubricate your knife with WD-40 you should get some mineral oil it’s nontoxic safe if you eat it and cheap I put a little in anApplicator bottle and I use the rest on my wooden cooking utensils and cutting board Victorinox also sells a little bottle of mineral oil

I have 16 or 17 Swiss Army knives to include the Mountaineer, Camper, Climber, Compact, SD, Spartan, Tinker, plus several Wengers...i love them all. I usually carry the Spartan or Compact to work. If I'm wearing jeans I usually carry the Climber. If I'm going camping or hiking I'll take the Camper. Always a tough decision which one to carry. I never like to leave home without one.

Brother, does the watch can take the beatings of a Gshock ?

    • @skipinkoreaable
      @skipinkoreaable Год назад

A G Shock would be able to take more, but basic Casios like this should be able to go through a lot too. There's another channel where the guy tests out lots of models, including this. He wears it as he does lots of hard manual work, chops wood with it, shoots pistols with it on his wrist etc. He never has issues with any of the Casios. When I was a kid several times my Casios went flying off my wrist because the spring bars came out through a sudden shock when doing something physical. The G Shock spring bars and the way the G Shock bands are designed usually makes it harder for this to happen. If you were really worried about this watch flying off your wrist, then you'd put it on a Nato strap, but with this watch it might not look as good if you do that because the strap will look too narrow unless you use adapters and get a wider strap. Even then, I don't think it would look as nice as it does on the original bracelet. I'm sure it would be fine in most situations unless you really do hardcore stuff with it.

I have the Vostok Amphibian 170510 the vessel its tight to move it and i can't take it off. I've use it for snorkeling and scuba diving. Mine it's fast between 2-3 seconds per week if i sleep with it on my wrist but if i take it off gets about 10 seconds faster 😊 amazing watches. I got my watch on this year 2022 also it's a 2022 model 😊 has no date cost me about $100 U.S.D. you should get a new one a 2022 model 😊 You should screw down the crown really hard/tight so that water won't enter in the watch. I have bought several watches from other countries but now because of the war in Mexico at custom check they open the watches so i have to tighten the back case of the watch it was a little loose, so if i had enter into the sea with it like that water would have enter it

This is actually one of the few Steinhart models I would buy, because it does not try to copy Tudor or Rolex. A true rarity in their collection. I think they should do more original designs like this and less "hommages"...

I have a Super Tinker that I carried for over 12 years. My experience mirrors yours (except for international travel). A lot of others have been added to my collection since then, and I'll be sending the Super Tinker in for a cleaning and sharpening sometime. Victorinox makes a great pocket knife, and there's no sense in tossing one into the trash just because it's a little worn. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

I have two Vostok. I change both of my bracelet to a mesh version. The original bracelet can be use as a torture device... My 110649 with a little ajustement of the regulator give me a +3.14 second gains per day (I checked the accuracy for several months). It clearly "accurate" for mechanical watch in that price range. One thing I found is you should pass your watch near a compass. Mine where magnetize and inaccurate when I got them. I invested in a small demagnetizer and it's fixed the problem for the most part. You can't regulate a watch magnetize. I check them when I see a deviation in the accuracy or every few months. I also have a 710440. Must say, I hate the stock bezel... Just replaced it for a pepsi bezel. It's a lot nicer.

Most knife laws around the world are fairly new and it used to be everyone used to carry a knife. I don't think you should have to explain why you need a knife. Maybe if enough people carry them again things will change
