    Enjoyable video, it's good to see someone really using an Amphibia as a dive watch. I have been swimming in mine and it's a great watch. I have found my Vostoks surprisingly accurate, some I didn't even have to regulate. If I were you, I would treat you watch to a new movement. A 2414 hand wound date movement would fit, they run 36 -40 hours on a wind. Swapping the hands and dial over is surprisingly straightforward apart from fitting the second hand 👍

      Hey thank u very much!
      And thanks for the info about the new movement. I'll think about it :) I like handwound just as much as automatic :D

    Everyone should have a Vostok and a G-SHOCK in their collection as a baseline. Then add a watch(es) that YOU love and can comfortably afford. Great video my friend. Spasibo.

    Nice video, and also, I think you can adjust the spring inside the bezel that would make it not as easy to pop off and also a little more firm for turning. Nice watch!

    I have the Vostok Amphibian 170510 the vessel its tight to move it and i can't take it off. I've use it for snorkeling and scuba diving.
    Mine it's fast between 2-3 seconds per week if i sleep with it on my wrist but if i take it off gets about 10 seconds faster 😊 amazing watches. I got my watch on this year 2022 also it's a 2022 model 😊 has no date cost me about $100 U.S.D. you should get a new one a 2022 model 😊
    You should screw down the crown really hard/tight so that water won't enter in the watch.
    I have bought several watches from other countries but now because of the war in Mexico at custom check they open the watches so i have to tighten the back case of the watch it was a little loose, so if i had enter into the sea with it like that water would have enter it

    I have 3 vostok watches 2 divers and a Century Time(more dressy). One I have had for 6+ years, absolutely beat it up and kept going. This one was my surfing and weekend watch for years. Changed the dial and hands, have pulled the movement apart and serviced it because I did not seal it one time properly and let water in when surfing. However, it still kept running for months after this until it stopped, my bad. Good fun watches.

    I got a Vostok Amphibia that I bought new some years ago for a great price, shipped from Belarus. It's ben said that these watches are generally not good timekeepers but the one I got runs consitsantly +3-4 seconds a day, one of my most accurate watches on par with my Rolexes! Great amplitude too so the movement is running very well. I modified mine with a much better aftermarket bracelet, looks a bit like a Rolex oyster bracelet, also the bezel was swapped out with one that looks like a Submariner bezel, seagreen to match the dial, looks totally different with that, much better looking as the original bezel is not a looker.

    I have two Vostok. I change both of my bracelet to a mesh version. The original bracelet can be use as a torture device...
    My 110649 with a little ajustement of the regulator give me a +3.14 second gains per day (I checked the accuracy for several months). It clearly "accurate" for mechanical watch in that price range.
    One thing I found is you should pass your watch near a compass. Mine where magnetize and inaccurate when I got them. I invested in a small demagnetizer and it's fixed the problem for the most part. You can't regulate a watch magnetize. I check them when I see a deviation in the accuracy or every few months.
    I also have a 710440. Must say, I hate the stock bezel... Just replaced it for a pepsi bezel. It's a lot nicer.

      I found out about Vostok watches in a website where I was looking for Ushankas the russian hats. I got hooked on Vostoks from their on, this happened like a month ago LOL. My first Vostok is an Amphibia Neptune Pepsi. I also bought a Generalskie for when I dress up for work.

    I hear that with the bezel, the more the acrylic spreads from pressure, the tighter the bezel gets…

    Great video but not quite true to say they haven't changed design since the first models .There have been about a dozen case shapes added [I have 9] I think the 090 most resembles the first watches .As I say tho very nice work and it's a great looking model too.Ps Almost all mine are customized and easy to add a better bezel if you fancy one .Seiko skx bezels fit btw

    Preservation for shock resistance? Wtf
    What actually is: indirect seconds hand, when you hit it the sloppy seconds hand jitters and stop due to the backlash in the gears - nothing special about this.
    "Dont expect precision - a reliable tool watch" and "dont worry about the watch, it will last forever" along with " the date broke the first year" and " the power reserve does not work, the watch stops every 6hours" -- he is lost in translation

    • @wuwatch5016
      @wuwatch5016  2 года назад +1

      Ur kinda right tho haha - look what I meant to say is that they r tough watches that don't break easily but of course on the other hand aren't that accurate.
      And ok didn't know that bout the second hand. Good to know.

    Los relojes Rolex son una mala decisión

    • @newhuskytwenty
      @newhuskytwenty 2 года назад

      Por suerte algunos pueden permitirse sucesivas malas decisiones sin que les afecte demasiado a su cuenta bancaria, no sólo en el caso de los Rolex sino de deportivos, berlinas o SUV que consumen el doble de combustible que un vehículo normal y tienen también un mantenimiento mucho más caro.
