It is a great canera to run with. It's very out-of-the-way once you press record. I haven't tried interval recording, yet. I'm not sure if it would sync with Garmin in that case. I believe the footage has to be the same length as the activity for it to sync. If I had to guess, I'd say it wouldn't. Hope this helps.

Lol! And that's with the camera set to Max Stabilization. Wearing it in a hat clip would probably do a better job of smoothing it out, but it's not as convenient. Thanks!

I use the Garmin VIRB app that allows you to overlay your Garmin stats on any video. The way I do it is I record the race from start to finish on my insta360 go 3. Then I upload the video in the Garmin VIRB app (which you can download onto your computer). I then add the file from your race which you can get from your Garmin Connect app into the video. I've only been able to get about 33-34 minutes from this camera in real-world running conditions. However, the GO 3 (not the 3S) has given me about 38-40 minutes if it's set to 1080p 30 FPM. I'm guessing you might get a couple of more minutes of battery life from that camera if you set it to 24 FPM. Hope this helps!

Yes. I do have both. I prefer the GO 3S. The video quality is better. However, the battery life is a little longer on the GO 3. So I prefer to use that for longer races like the 10K. I get about 38-40 minutes on 1080 resolution at 30 fpm.

I definitely had at least one close call in this race.

Haven't tried that yet in a race, but I did do a test run during one of my practice sessions. It was a little uncomfortable wearing the clip on a hat during a hard session of running. That's why I opted for the chest mount. I forget I even have it on.

I clip it onto the chest pendant that comes with the Insta360 GO 3. But I also tape down the magnet pendant onto my chest with Cover Roll stretch tape to stabilize the footage. It works pretty well for me.
