Song: Giving Ground Artist: The Sisterhood (aka Andrew Eldritch aka The Sisters Of Mercy) Record: Giving Ground 7" Release date: 1986 This is not the wide known long version taken from The Sisterhood's only album "Gift", no, this is actually the shorter 7" version. Personally, I prefere this one, because it feels more coherent.

Song: Walpurgisnacht Artist: Recht Herzlich Year: 1981 This is an excellent example of early german minimalistic electro sound. This track was released in 1981 (yes, eigthy-one) and, to me, it sounds as if some concurrent minimalistic bedroom project has recorded it. The circle is closing, BTW, I love the lyrics, too, which deal with an important wiccan celebration, "Walpurgisnacht"

I bought the 7" at Kensington Market, London, back in 1989 and this is what it sounds like today.

I just love this song. "I'm old and very tired" John Balance sings. Not long after, he died. As if he was anticipating (or even longing for) his near death. R.I.P, John, your music has become part of my live since I was a child.

Bought this tape in 1987 at Camden Market in London. The covers claims that this was their secound gig performed in 1981 in Leeds. I've been so proud of this tape .. before @endemoniada75 cleared things up, I even thought this was their very first gig.

From their Phantastic Album "Horse Rotorvator". This was the very first goth song I ever heard. Yes, it was back in 1987 and I was almost a child. Got me the LP and will never forget the nights I spent on this magic album.
