Metallica - Damage Inc. - Guitar Track
Просмотров 70 тыс.6 лет назад
NOTE: This is not an original Metallica track, this is recorded by me. Guitars start at 1:20.
No human could have created this song. It was for sure AI generated
@@larrymendoza759 I mean, Metallica wrote it
I wish i could play this clean holy crap
Hey man! Thanks for your comment, you’re too kind. This isn’t too clean imo :-). You can play Metallica songs with good rhythm if you play it like non stop for a couple of weeks. I can’t play this stuff anymore cause my arm is outta shape. And I believe I didn’t even record this in one take cause the rhythm during the solo was just too long for my stamina
Good
3:14 - you came here for this
Greetings! Recently released a video focusing on a real crime documentary. Invested around 14 hours of my time. Your feedback is crucial, so don't hold back on sharing your positive or negative comments. Wishing you good health!
On a chance this isn’t a bot. Dude, I understand you’re trying to make it big on youtube. But please refrain from advertising anything, especially on a completely unrelated video. I’m not interested in your videos but I’m sure you will find success (looks like you have some already) without what looks like spam ads. These kinda comments just make you look unprofessional. Hopefully the message is clear.
4:44 should be D
Heaviest metal song
1:20 Idk why they didn't just cut out the intro for the purposes of this video. Lol.
This is not stems from the original. Anyone who thinks so haven't got a clue.
I think you’re in the minority here, buddy. Read my story in the pinned comment. Thanks for your input!
@@turolretarThat is exactly what I said. You're so used being defensive about this.
@@metriffsok, I don’t understand your point. Yes, I think it’s pretty obvious this isn’t the original, I even put it in the description. I think anyone with half a brain would understand I was joking about it too
@@turolretarSome comments are about this being the actual recording. I was just emphasizing it's not. It's someone who found a similar tone and plays well. Don't you understand that's a compliment to you.
@@metriffsresponding a little late here. My apologies, I didn’t mean to come off so rash. I really appreciate everyone who watched, liked or left a comment on this video, because it makes me feel like I maybe helped someone. Trying to find the tone was my goal initially, but now I understand how misguided I was. I honestly just dislike this recording of mine. It’s just not good, not original music. Something about it just sucks, it’s like somehow I made that masterpiece sound boring, even when people say it’s so close to the real deal. But maybe I’m imagining things here. I guess what I’m saying is I just want to move on from this, but don’t want to take this video down either. Idk why I said all of this in reply to you tho, that’s another can of worms
Damn this is good, it sounds almost identical to the album
No bro, this sounds better. I’m literally better than all Metallica.
@@turolretar agreed
Damn now that I think about it, I should really upload something, I got like a good amount of riffs just waiting their turn
Metallica died after Justice.. I'm not a fan of the black album.. just like megadeth.. they had like 4 good albums then it was like ehh idk.
Bro this is fucking unbelievable. Sounds identical to the original
Should’ve asked Lars for the isolated bass for ktulu lmao
изумруд среди тонов
Cool man!
Wait so is that James or playing that riff ? If it’s you fuck that’s impressive man you’re the goat
BAYATODA
Pick on people your own age 🤢 Your account was made 10 years ago so it's a no brainer you're somewhere between 20-30 yrs/o.. And you supporting the age of consent to be 13 🤢🤡 get off discord and get yo ass out of yo moms house
Dude that straight chugging. Just a robot. People would need wrist transplants just for attempting
Thanks dude! Imagine what Hetfield’s wrist is like, unreal
0:33 the blackened prince?
Honest question. No trolling or joking. Is this is actual track or did you record it?
I recorded it, IMO it’s obvious because I played the wrong notes in some places, but I’m really surprised people find it so close to the original, although that was part of my goal
Bro you played this so fkn tight its insane
Shit goes hard
Hetfield kills it
guitar
michael jackson
za
What setup did you use my guy? It sounds pretty close to the original.
Mid
I do not know
Well I don't think I'm going to need my right wrist again
Nice!
Y’all are gullible as hell 😂 this is 1000% the original track. Not a cover.
lmao gottem xD
@@turolretar Master troll. I applaud you sir
@@tylerstewart7709 I remember this clear as day when I called into Metallica headquarters back in 2017 around Christmas and surprise - Lars had actually answered the phone! He was like: "Hey how are ya man? ummm How's life?" (He already knew me because we had arranged a call earlier) But I was eager to get what I wanted and cut straight to the chase: "Hey Lars as you know I am a big fan of the band, I even downloaded all of your albums from Napster, except for Lulu (of course because it's a Lou Reed album), but anyway I was wondering if you could do me a favour?". He's like: "Oh wow, haaha you're funny man! Sure thing, what is it?". I continued: "You know about that game Guitar Hero that you played for and filmed for and shit like that a while back?". He replied: "Ummmmm... yeah I remember that, wow, actually I really got sweaty that day playing all of our songs in that tight suit, but what about it man?". I said: "Well, you know, Metallica kindly provided the developers of the game with several master tapes of your songs, and apparently people just ripped these tracks from the game to get completely isolated bits like drums and guitar and..." He said abruptly: "So what are you saying, like people got our stuff from the game for free? Ummmmmm... like they hacked it or something? Idk about this man, I don't like when my work gets...." I decided to save the moment before it was too late: "No, no Lars, they didn't get it for free - they all had to pay for the game, and a good price as well! Just check your bank account, there's probably some royalties there" He replied in a calmer tone: "Hold on a second man, let me check with my bank..." And after about 5 minutes of hearing Lars talk to his bank manager while loudly chewing a banana with an open mouth, I finally get back from him: "Hello? You still there man? Yeah I just checked with my bank, they say that Guitar Hero game got me a good check, so no worries man, where were we?" Relieved, I finally decide to reveal my favour: "Ok Lars, I know this might sound a little weird, but can you please send me a master track for one of your songs? Just name the price." Lars sounds a little aroused: "Hohoho, now we talking, why didn't you say that earlier? Which song man?" Me, absolutely ecstatic about what's going on: "Oh man, it's my favourite - Damage Inc." Now, after that Lars names the price and I happily PayPal him to his address he gave me. After payment was complete Lars said this: "Alright man! Cool, I'll talk about it with our sound guy maybe in one or two weeks we'll send you out the tracks by email, is that cool with you?" Me, not believing the words I'm hearing: "OH MY GOD, OF COURSE THAT'S COOL WITH ME LARS, THANK YOU!" He replied: "Well, you are welcome, always happy to help out a true Metallica fan, alright man, take care!" Me: "Peace!" After two unnerving weeks of waiting and checking my email, I finally receive all the multitrack files and oh my god the quality of that was amazing, some of the best I've ever heard! Anyway, just after one day I couldn't wait any longer - I decided: "Why sit on this gold material when it can be available for everyone to help them learn the song?". This was the day that I thought would never come, but I finally did it, I pressed the upload button and there it went - the Damage Inc. Guitar Track was available to everyone with and Internet connection. The genius of James Hetfield could be heard on this exact recording. Some say that if you listen to this recording 69 times, James Hetfield himself will appear at night at the corner of your bed, tuck you in and send you to never-never land. But rumour and hearsay, I say. For anyone who finished reading this - I applaud you. Your perseverance will earn you a lot in life! This was a story I didn't know for the longest time if I could share or not. But now I'm glad it's off my chest. If anyone doesn't actually believe the story - I advise them to read it again, because it's based on 100% real events.
i once saw lars ulrich in a walmart in northeast Tennessee. before i was able to decide how best to approach him, i saw him walk up to an unattended baby in a shopping cart. he then preceded to dig his finger in his nose and put the booger he had retrieved into the infant’s mouth.
Hear the 1:20 at the speed of what he plays it, and compare it to the original
Incredible, how many guitars did you record?
4 tracks
@@turolretar One to the left 100%, another 100% to the right, and the other two 80% right and left?
@@nickola5834 it might be like that, although I don’t remember for sure, it’s been so long
I have been listening to this for months and always assumed it was James playing on Kirk's guitar because of the slight tone difference. (apparently they recorded one side on James' V and the other with Kirk's guitar) Never knew it was a recreation until I read the comments and description. Great job 👍
Thank man, I appreciate it! James I think is definitely a gifted prodigy, he created a new standard in guitar sound, which I might add hasn’t been achieved by many to this day, that just says how good he was. It’s a really tough tone to get
Sick tone sound almost like it
What gear did you use?
Invader pickup -> Amt R2 preamp -> marshall impulses
My right hand is tired as hell listening to this...
The riff at 4:36 boooi.
Щикарно... 😍
1:19
3:49
You guys ever hear people play this riff incorrectly?
I thought it was James. So rad.
Sounds like ass, sorry man
4:43 He played that wrong. That's a D there not A# . Tight playing nonetheless.
Yeah, I know I f’d up. Plan to re record this, just gotta make my setup right. Thanks!
This is great
I honestly thought this was the actual guitar track well done!
This is awesome
Where’s the solo
you wouldn't want to hear me play the leads trust me )))))), plus I didn't learn it at the time. I have some vague plans about redoing this track, now that I know a lot more about how this song is actually played, and I might include a solo in there.
@@turolretar Yeah dude definetly re record this cos this is fucking fire🔥
Just curious, what's your signal chain? By the way, absolutely crushing cover!
Thanks man! I think it was Gibson SGJ with an Invader pickup in the bridge -> AMT R2 -> behringer interface -> reaper -> some marshall impulses. That’s about it
