This was the final song of the set she played in Tivoli Utrecht Oct 16 2023. Amazing that in the final stage of her 60 year career in the music business she still gives a show worth listening to with a wonderful strong voice. An enchanting lady.

Showers were pouring down when I left Uelsen to visit the last concert of the Stiftfestival. It was to be outside, behind the little Stiftchurch on the grass. When I arrived there the sun had broken through again, but not uninterrupted. It was amazingly easy to find a parking place and when I got to the party tent behind the church I got to know why....The concert was, at the very last minute, ...

Cobblestone is cultural group in Oldenzaal giving a podium for ''americana'' and ''roots'' music. There location is avery old building right in the middle of Oldenzaal. May 31 they had the Hotclub of Cowtown on their stage. The Hotclub of Cowtown started in 1997 and -with interruptions- continues till this day to give swinging performances of traditional music.

In Dordrecht he was born. His family lived there for three generations. But he settled in Bussum in a house he rebuild and loved. He was trying landscapes at first, but from his childhood had been drawing portraits. That became his art and profession. The chimney must smoke after all.

I like this song and I can't find it on a CD. Here it is taken from a show of the BBC in 1972. It is always special when a song is performed by Gordon Lightfoot.
