End of Year || 2016 edit
Found on an old hard drive while spending New Years with rents. Never had posted. Figured it'd be fun to throw it up. 9 years ago, just finishing high school. Crazy, still want to ride bike just as much or more than then.

The Rat Race || Seabass Halpern-Reiss shreds a Salt Lake Classic
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.6 месяцев назад
One of our favorite trails in Salt Lake might be disappearing as a disgruntled near by homeowner is mad about the animals that have apparently been displaced because of this trail. There has been a housing development going in directly above and next to the trail. Filmed in two mornings before work. Rider: seabasshr Goride: www.go-ride.com/ Color & Mix: theoptionalt...

4000 miles and 56 hours in a car in one month this winter to make the video. All inspired by the old school Pinkbike videos that got me stoked on riding and building. All riding done on the Chromag Stylus. Absolutely Kick-ass music from Two Man Giant Squid. Filming by Michael Chungbin & Dylan Russell. Stoke and lodging from Adrian Tygart. Stoked to put all of this pipedream in a video! Enjoy! T...

Gnarliest Mountain Bike Trail in the Adirondacks? In the Blood: Chasing a top to bottom run
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.2 года назад
My journey to get a top to bottom run on an all time favorite trail/build, In the Blood. Started on it when I had lived in the area, but did majority of the work and finished it after I had moved away. Then shot the video distract form with a buddy: ruclips.net/video/Do1LNtIsdzM/видео.html Let me know what you think of video and trail, want to do this with some other trails I have built.

Insane man! Wow! 💥
Thanks so much man!
Guitar or brakes? Was cool too
So sick
Gnarly!! Love the back story.
Thanks!
Very impressive. As a 50yo guy, I advise never ride a hardtail again. They fuck your ankles.
I might just have to deal with the consequences later, they are too damn fun haha I do try to stay up on keeping body healthy but not as much as I should so I will take this as a reminder to do that!
@@rippinfreshies782 It's the high frequency impacts on the ankles. We're just not designed to absorb it.
Justin! Managed to refind this edit, cause it lingered in my head. What a great edit, would probably get my vote for edit of the year: you R Skilled, in the snow 😮, in the rain 😮, snowy dh rock slab 😮, wet dh rock slab 😮, soundtrack, hardtail, Chromag! I forgive you all the swearing, haha. Hope your shoulder didn’t hurt that long. What frame size Stylus do you run actually and what’s your bodyheight? Ty sir and keep up the good stuff ✌️
And just wondering: did you brake alloy or carbon Stumpjumpers and Transition Patrol?
@@ChrisO-t1v Thanks man! Glad you liked it, I had a ton of fun making it! Shoulder was sore for a week or two after that drop haha, probably should start hitting the gym. I'm 6'3" and run a M/L stylus frame. The three frames that I broke were alloy frames. 2 Stumpjumpers and 1 patrol. Hopefully coming out with more videos soon!
Do you still maintain this trail?
i personally do not, others have picked up load and added some sweet shit too
I have property right down the road (I don’t want to give the location away since it seems like a locals secret trail) and hiked this trail last weekend. It is pretty awesome especially from the very top of the mountain. Is there a climbing trail or is it hike a bike up?
@@mtb_dad80 oh awesome! and thanks, you are spot on with that, to be kept on the hush hush because of some of the gnarly features. There is an "access trail" that doubles as a fun warm up or just more naturally flowier trail. Less steep jank. you can pedal most of it if you are pretty determined but a lot is easier and more efficient to push most of time. It has the same start rock as in the blood just goes the opposite way. There is more in there too that I didn't build if you keep your eyes open. The builder of the other line is stellar and looks better than my stuff honestly. That access trail is just a bit further down the road. it had a sneaky entrance, not sure what its like now. but if you keep your eyes open you should see it. Enjoy brother!
This is not in Nebraska. There's no skiing in Nebraska
no, this is Nebraska, hard to get in good conditions but nebraska none the less
where are the shots at the end with the ski lift?
@@ColonelAngus2 Mt. Crescent
This is Rad and deserves more views! Sick riding bud!
where is that drop?
Hell yeah dude
absolutely hectic
So cool to see the mountain biking purist ride so many incredible trails!
This on private land ?
Мы, конечно, тоже в похожих условиях катаемся, но тут чистое безумие :) Привет из России.
Wow as a newbie mtb rider with a hardtail as my first bike, this is inspiring to ride my hardtail as it is, while I'm yet earning for a full-sus frame.
hell ya dude! thats how I started and everyone should, on a hardtail! also fun to come back to them, they are the best!
This is dope!
Some of these sends are gnarly enough for a DH bike. Absolute respect for doing these on a har tail. Crazy good.
Whatttt.... So sick!!
Aite im for sure buying a chromag after watching this
Hell ya man, it is a decision you will not regret! And you cant go wrong cause they all are sick!
This is the content we need
I have always believed that people should either A) Own a hardtail or B) Owned a hardtail as their main bike. The simplicity to just enjoy the ride and get out there while also making you a better smoother rider and also make a person appreciate a full-suspension bike.
Couldn’t agree more! One of the best decisions i have ever made was to get one again. A lot of things, bikes and beyond, are getting so unnecessarily complex. Its refreshing to have something that always works!
Can I ride this trail bra?
you did this on a hardtail!?!?! i saw this trail in person and it seemed crazy for full sus double crowned bikes....
its a wild ride for sure but super fun! hardtails are pretty insanely capable
Best HT video on earth. Bro what size bike and what is the fork travel haha?
thanks man! Its a M/L Chromag stylus which is 27.5 160mm travel. Gotta be one of the most fun bikes ever made!
Curious re the pushups...abd the cable chaos. Not against it, just curious.
The push ups and off handed throw is at a plaque for jordie lunn and it instructs 30 push ups and off handed rock through to pass. The cable chaos is because im an absolute hack and dont care, when i need to bleed them ill trim them, until then, extremely long rear brake cable haha
@@rippinfreshies782 ahhh gotcha re the plague, I didn't notice that. And as for the cables, I sincerely appreciate that ethos.
How many air in the circles?
Where is this place? They kick you off earth again?
mars, i got canceled to mars
Nose Dive McGee, nice one at 1:30 btw
tyres you use front and rear please - I ride in the shore throughout the year.
Minion dhf in front and rear. Not sure if its the right setup, could probably run something more agro, but live in utah so it works for everything at least i think!
Hey bud great riding and glad you enjoyed! I also drove 56 hours to ride the North Shore in 2001, then promptly moved to B’ham to be closer. Eventually got tired of driving to ride so I built most of the trails in this vid over the last 20 years. Sick shreddit! 👊
Damn thats an awesome story and really glad you got sick of the driving because a lot of your trails (ones not in this edit too) are some of my favorite trails of all time. On some of the trails I have built, I pulled most if not all, inspiration from them as well. Been dreaming of moving to b’ham since a 14 year old me saw your pinkbike videos and photos! Thinking that day is coming soon!
Sick edit and max respect! I used o ride hardtails in Bellingham A LOT!
lets go! love to hear that!
I'm all for the views, but the fact that the in crowd gets to know these locations is totally unfair
I dont necessarily disagree with you. Very lucky to be have buddys that are connected to know this stuff for me. With that said it wasnt always that way for certain. My thought was always if you dont know where things are, create your own. Definitely have spent equal if not more time on the hickory backhoe as behind handle bars. That has got me connected to the right people more than riding an actual bike has. Quite literally sending this from a dig pit of current project! Build the vision buddy! Got to give to get!
You can build in Washington state with out permission and if you get caught you get some hefty fines. That's is something I cant do
Definitely, but if you arent willing to take that risk, then why should someone else? And then further than that reap the rewards of their labor and risk they took. Someone at some point took a ton of their time, energy, money, and the risk to build these beauties. If you arent actively doing the same to give back to that community that gave to you, why should you receive anything? Wouldnt that be unfair?
Damn that looks sick bro! 💪🏻🤘🏻💪🏻
thanks bro, that area has the most insane terrain!
GOD DAMN 🦍
thanks daddy corky!!
So here's what I take from this: I dont race enduro, likely never will. A hardtail like this is all I'd ever need and skills will just acrue over time. Even if the North East is a little rootier, a Stylus and time are all I need to improve and have a good time.
Started riding on the east and have ridden this bike a bunch there, its a hoot
Mental
RESPECT!
I cant wait to go ride Bellingham in June! this makes me pumped to find the gnar up there.
dude hell ya! youre gonna have a blast!
Hardtail for life 🤙🏼 crazy video, insane ride!!

Wild man !!! I've been wanting to hit up Bellingham, how awesome is it out there?
Its great, good mix of everything, seattle has a great network too!
what trails are these?
That was so sick!!🔥
Had to go to the eye doctor to check my vision after reading this! Thanks so much dog!!
