استاذ يسبح بتقنية عالية. تحياتي من المغرب.
Looks like me😀
Does he not require air to breathe? 🤣
Good
I don't understand why in the book all of these drills are explained facing up instead of towards the bottom of the pool
Looks like second shinji.
My legs are too up hence splash a lot on the surface - infact I tend to float on top of the water hence its a challenge to go through the water. The only way I can avoid splashing is look 45 deg forward which sink my legs, but that's against TI advice.
We may all learn differently. When I first started the basic drills, I found that the angle and depth of arms greatly influence the balance and head position. That turns out to be critical to learn breathing later.
The guy in the next lane is definitely not doing TI! LOL
doing the fat man swim lol
lol the guy on the next lane :)))
Jesus, that's some high arm action!
Gosh i cant understand which drill is which. You just gave a long list and didnt identify what toby was doing.
For the life of me I can't figure out how you generate the amount of forward propulsion you do using your legs. I can't replicate it.
I tried today and had difficulty maintaining balance on my side. I will try your drill progression. Thanks for the drills.
Link to your site doesn't work=((((
I always enjoy this video. One question arises consistently: how are you able to propel yourself forward with your feet? It appears your feet are pliable at the ankles, almost flipper like.
I'm a natural breaststroker now determined to learn the crawl. I cannot afford coaching, so I decided to use instructional videos instead. I'm starting with these basic drills and my questions is, how long does it normally take to learn these basic movements? I've only had three sessions so far in which I included these drills, with varying success. Finding my sweet spot feels a lot easier on my right side (dry side) than on my left. How many reps should I aim for? How long should a rep be? A length of 50 m is sure a lot for me at the moment to do any of these. Please help.
have you got it? I'm probably at the same point as you were when you wrote this comment.
@@hobbybaschtler7896 I have got it! Learned the stroke entirely from YT videos. I also consulted a swimming instructor/ former competitive swimmer friend of mine to have a look at my stroke online. He said it looks legit. I always find certain things I can tweak my stroke with, little changes that only start making sense after years, but I am extremely satisfied with my progress.
@@krisztianwirsz3612 congratulations, that also sounds encouraging to me. I try to do it, too. If you have any special tips that helped you, please share. First step for me is to get a bit more calm and relaxed in the water and with my head underwater.
@@hobbybaschtler7896 catch-up, one arm, kicking on side. Check these drills, they helped me enormously. Swim short repeats instead of forcing it, don't push the envelope in the beginning. And definitely do breathe every 3 strokes alternating sides!
You have a great stroke,l must have watched the video a hundred times trying to emulate it.What l can't grasp is that are you actively keeping you torso parallel to the surface and thus your legs up or are you quite relaxed?
please focus on the legs. this film was shooting on the wrong end.
沈行健 Good point sir
Great Session with Terry at Flowswim, thoroughly enjoyed it
who's that fat idiot in the background?
He stars in his own video which will be appearing here soon....
I've just launched my new website at www.flowswim.co.uk. Please visit regularly as I plan to upload plenty of free videos to help swimmers. Thanks - Toby
