I’m that guy who 3d prints all his christmas gifts
In this video, I transform a humble jar of pickles into a one-of-a-kind holiday gift set, complete with a custom 3D-printed crate, reusable labels, and a twist inspired by iconic brand packaging. It’s a mix of DIY creativity, last-minute problem-solving, and a whole lot of unexpected effort-just to give the perfect gift.

      I've thought about doing the same. I think you could definitely do it with one of those Bowden tube thread things. I just might one day use this for cooking again so havent done it yet. Most of my prints are PLA plus

      I bought it on Amazon a few years ago. It’s a standard 200dpi 6x4 thermal label printer. You can get affordable 300dpi ones now which I’d recommend

    I watched your video without realizing you were the creator of the AMS stand I'm using right now. It's fantastic-I love it! I did modify it slightly by placing it on a turntable base for easier access.

    • @heysamhillier
      @heysamhillier 18 дней назад

      Turntable is a nice idea! Are you using the original ptfe tubes? Or slightly longer ones

    • @jon880215
      @jon880215 18 дней назад

      @@heysamhillier I placed the AMS on the right side of the printer. The base I used adds like 2 inches to height so the original tubes work fine althought they look tight.

    i used ziplock bags for a few months, they work really well but i am really glad i bought a 100 litre ip67 rated storage tub. It can hold 32 open rolls and along with desicant holders in the centr of every roll i have about 1.5kg in bags aswell. The tub sits at less than 10% humidity all the time and over a few days it will remove most of the moisture out of pla, abs, petg with out needing to use a dryer.

    Hi Sam, very nice video! With PPA-CF you need to increase the temperature of the dehydrate function up to a temperature the dryer don't reach (mine goes up to 95°C).In other modes I'm time limited.... How did you set it up?

    Buy a usb type c female to male micro usb and take off the micro usb male end and once desoldered add and solder wires to the data and power connection and then solder them to the 30 pin connector so you can use the internal circuit of the iPod to charge it as it’s thinking it’s always has a 30 pin adapter plugged in when it’s the usb type c to micro usb adapter you soldered in.
