I did this on a brand new 64 GB version and did it all when the battery was empty thinking that was safer when taking it apart. I then went to install the OS while it was charging forgetting that it was charging using the same USB C port that I needed to install the OS..... Not a big deal, but just add an extra hour of waiting if you do the same that I did.

Basically it doesn't reach 8W level. It's caused by set 10TDP limit, or visual settings are to low and limit doesn't even kick in?
