Good Journalism right here.. In such a short time, Kirby was definitely impactful in the fashion world. His authenticity will allow him to come back better than ever
Thank you Ricky and Kirby is truly a talented individual
This was some great commentary with hella gems
Thank you bro that means a lot !
$900 for some cheaply made shorts thats worth $15. 🤦🏽
I'm so glad you made this video. I STILL have a whole HUGE collection of Pyer Moss that I wear often, my support is un-ending. I do hope that he can return again and showcase something incredible for the fashion fans.
He definitely is talented for sure. Hopefully he can make a come back in the future 💯
I came here just to say -$685,00042 is not a real number…..😅😂😂
Everyone should watch both Shiftfashiongroup videos, I. titled " $900 Swim Trunks?!? What was Rhude thinking" & II. titled "Breaking down this $400 Rhude T-Shirt to tell you if its worth it?" Joe has been in the industry for over a decade and has over seen the production of millions of products from all over the world. He isn't paid by any competitive company, he's just doing this for their RUclips channel & I wss ecstatic that he was so honest. Joe had never seen such a horrible quality made high end product as the Rhude Swimming Trunks, these things had loose threads everywhere, terrible quality, mismatched color threads, some with an orange color that was not even on the trunks. The waste band was woven bad without any oversight or double checking. The inner lining was extremely cheap (1.50) and paper thin. The outer lining had a mismatched black that didn't blend with the other black on the waist band & the screen printed RHUDE design was not properly centered. I recommend anyone to see for yourself how absolutely ridiculous these Rhude products are.🚫 ruclips.net/video/3ZgtGHfpUio/видео.htmlsi=cLp0mTCDU8ELsSuK

This brand is trash…He still doing what He was doing in school; taking cheap clothes and putting name brand on them. His $900 swimming trunks are worth $10.
solid. I look forward to more of these
Appreciate that Erin! More videos on the way
Haven't watched yet, but that is the life of many creatives that work in the fashion industry. I'm sure that reebok appointment helped a lot, but generally speaking, working in fashion is an almost unjustifiable financial undertaking. *Great video. Offering practical advice and suggestions or fiture designers takes it a step further.
Yeah this is the sad reality of the industry. For some designers it’s like their in a 360 deal
Facts not for the broke.
This brand had the potential to be what half white is today. The owner got so many opportunities from some really reputable ppl in the industry, but the man keeps fucking up y’all. I researched him yrs ago. He’s one of the best self taught designer of our generation. He’s so creative. His brand would’ve been so big and well known, very well established today. But he’s an addict , he did some messed up things too. He made lots of poor decisions and allowed friends to come before his brand, thinking loyalty would be more than his professionalism. Talk about it, don’t hide the truth . 😢😢😢😢 I hope 2025 is the year he’s going to come out of hiding and make a comeback.
Where were you to be privy to all these things? . 😂
I'm not even gonna make this long. Your details are close but not totally accurate. You're right .. he did leverage his own money etc but he had some really shady sus behavior and connects that just didnt work out for him. His first brand was G A U D and I DESIGNED THAT SHIT. HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING OR WHAT HE WANTED AND A FRIEND OF MINE CONNECTED ME TO HELP HIM BUILD TECH PACKS AND FLATS FOR HIM BECAUSE AGAIN HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING. WHAT DID HE KNOW HW TO DO? SCAM PEOPLE and talk a good game to get money out of people obviously. He tried to not pay me and then low balled me on the pay for the project. You know where his money came from? Dirty old Harvey Winestein connects. And you know how he got those? From interning with Marchesa he got close with her and Harvey. I actually had a feeling that wouldn't end well but let's just say that from the symbols he was using in graphics for his brand GAUD he was definitely on some Masonic shit and had those connects. Whats so funny is how the same dark side that makes these dudes is the same dark side that can pull the rug from underneath them at any moment. And they're so smart to choose frauds because once the facade went away that band crashed like the empty design company it was and is. Fast forward - the money from Harvey and friends started to dry up when Marchesa left him and I'm sure Harvey cleaned up investments before all his allegations. Marchesa took a huge hit in production and development which I also know because they tried to hire me and they didnt have the budget. Kerby is a gross guy. Who used gross things like Black Death to sell his brand to white investors that definitely gave him the clout to become who he is / was - I dont know whats going on with that man today. BUT at the end of the day I still remember him telling me he didn't go to design school so he could save his money etc and did the business side instead. And I remember thinking NIGGA you're not a good enough designer to get into any of these design schools and you're so lazy you wont even take the time to do your own flats! I just learned about masons and that whole dark shit when I worked with him and that whole experience was God showing me how these industries really work and how if you sell your soul to the right people you can get anything funded. God showed me to keep my head down, do the work, opportunities will come but dont aspire to everything you see because the illumination at the top of the pyramid is so bright it will blind and smite most. Oops - made it long LMAO
We coming!
You right on that! Appreciate it.
clothes were trash anyway
Great video bro
Appreciate that bro!
Dope video. Pyer Moss will always be a culture legend Goes to show you - the vision can be there but navigating the finances / raising money & having debt adds a whole other layer of difficulty to this game
Definitely will always be a legend. Yeah I know some might want to rush into it when building a brand by taking out a loan or buying views but that comes with a lot of problems as well. Slow and steady with a nice strategy will always be a more peaceful journey
Pyer moss was one of my biggest motivations in 2020-21. It a was sad to see him disappear

I just watch to break down of Rhude $900 Swim Trunks and then I get recommended this video about the brand. The guy that did the breakdown talked about how cheaply made the garment was and it's actually only worth $20.
Yeah it’s the perception of how the consumer views the brand. That’s why getting an influencer to wear a product can increase the cost. They say Louis Vuitton bags aren’t worth as nearly as how much they price it at as well
I’m here for the same reason !! 😂
@@junito1008 🤣🤣😂
Watched that same video, then a couple of hours later, this got recommended haha.
@@lilartroom That brand is trash 😂 the trunks are worth $10 and ppl are paying $890 because it says Rhude. SMH
Fashion is a hustle like liquor and art
True statement. You have to find a way to get your product talked about and spark interest in the public eye
It feels more like propaganda or promotion.
I hate this brand
