    Are there any cross reactants for dust mites? I have a horrific dust mite allergy which I found out about when I moved to a tropical climate. I also have a bad garlic allergy. I think God might have cursed me as I am a food lover.

    Dear Dr. Hilary Booth!Thanks for the video and informations!May I ask, you should avoid thees foods only when the season is on, or you have to avoid them for all time. For example can I eat melon in winter? I have allergy of grass, wormwood, pet dander, alternaria alternata, feather, dustmites...and from May I have ekzema on may eyelids :( I think it is because I eat lot of vegetables, melons and fruits in the summer and spring. I am vegetarian and I have lactose intolerant what could I eat. I am very disappointed. I would like to eat healthy so that is why I am asking You, maybe I could eat vegetables and fruits when the pollen-season is off. Thank You for the answer and sorry for my bad english.       My apologies for the delay. I would suggest avoiding them for a few weeks before the allergy season starts, and then throughout the season. You typically won't need to avoid them all year long. Thanks for your question!

    Very informative, thank you. Many patients like me had no concept of the damage being done through chronic inflammation. I had to learn about this myself, rather than ever getting a single warning from my GP (Dr.) that this was a major concern in need of attention. I did very well on a keto diet, almost zero carb, no grains - boom! my inflammation numbers went right back to normal quite quickly. This is critically important to your health: get rid of inflammation. This naturopath has the right idea. Good on you Doc!

      You should be able to eat fish and chicken in my experience. Follow an AIP diet for good guidelines.

    As a person who had eczema and asthma throughout his life, I can support that what she is saying is true and those who have autoimmune conditions will benefit greatly from this knowledge. Calming down inflammation is truly one of the first things you should do. I will list the things that really helped me during those periods in which the autoimmunity was high (asthma and eczema): fish oil (definitely works, but you have to take it at least a month to see improvement), neem - nimbus tree (capsules, consuming those with food and digestive enzymes cured me of rather intense dermatitis in one case, took a while, but within a period of 3-6 months it did the job), digestive enzymes (they help break down the food you eat and therefore decrease leaky gut symptoms and lets the body cure it over time), removing wheat and dairy and rye from my diet. Other notes: if inflammation is high it will take from 3-6 months to cure it, if low then you might see improvements in a month ; Paleo diet fits best for mentioned conditions ; Check for parasites and infections, they increase autoimmunity ; I would advise taking traditional medications if necessary alongside natural treatments ; Hope that helps. Wish you good health. [EDIT]: Fish oil works better for asthma, for eczema I haven't seen much improvement from it but it lowers inflammation overall. Neem is better for eczema in my experience. I use Black Seed Oil for asthma, it works really well. Personal Note: I myself now am on Dupixent (Dupilumab), this drug works like a miracle really. In my opinion, it is as close to a cure as it can get for these conditions because it's a very modern treatment (biologics). I got it for eczema but it makes lungs healthier also. Doc said it will be available for asthma also later (in Lithuania). So as far as diet goes, nowadays I just don't consume dairy and wheat, that's all. Diet things work and can improve these conditions, but they're not always the full solution. Always talk to professionals about these things. Take care.

      For Iritis (Uveitis) you need to see a specialist doctor at a hospital asap. I had it very acutely & I needed a lot of different treatments at the hospital to get back to normal. Don't wait, you can lose your sight! Get help as soon as possible....within hours

    so sad.. I have allergy to Birch and latex- among other things.. now it makes so much sense why I can't tolerate certain foods.. I've seen two allergists, and they never once mentioned cross-reactivity.. everything comes together on RUclips, wow.. thanks for the information.. I'd go drown my sorrows in a bottle of wine, but that's from grapes- and now I know why it gives me stuffy nose, hoarseness and migraines 😩😝❤

    Human body CAN PRODUCE and absorb vitamin B12. Check study "Vitamin B12 synthesis by human small intestinal bacteria" with following abstract: "In man, physiological amounts of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) are absorbed by the intrinsic factor mediated mechanism exclusively in the ileum. Human faeces contain appreciable quantities of vitamin B12 or vitamin B12-like material presumably produced by bacteria in the colon, but this is unavailable to the non-coprophagic individual. However, the human small intestine also often harbours a considerable microflora and this is even more extensive in apparently healthy southern Indian subjects. We now show that at least two groups of organisms in the small bowel, Pseudomonas and Klebsiella sp., may synthesise significant amounts of the vitamin." 5 years ago, when I started a Raw Vegan diet, I had very hard time. While my body was in the transition period, I had anaemia. My head was like made of stone. Could not really concentrate and think. I had tingling fingers. I felt exhausted and wanted to sleep all the time. I went to check my blood and discover that I had very low B12 = 126. I started to take different B12 pills supplements, but nothing helped me, until I tried to eat SWEET CABBAGE. I eat it raw without processing or mixing it with anything else. Just take it and eat it. I felt so much better!!! My anaemia was gone! Since that time I had never took any vitamins supplementations, including B12. I live active live. I run 5k every day and I have long runs 20-30k each Sunday. Stay away from refined and processed food. Follow WHOLE food diet. Avoid oils, sucrose, salt and other preservatives and drugs. Also as a Raw Vegan I do not eat any grains, because I found it very toxic for me and I think they cause vitamin deficiency by damaging your gut. I only eat ripe juice fruits.
