I'm just glad there's some real competition in the EV space, it would be terrible for consumers if it was just Tesla monopoly.
All these vehicles (except NIO thanks to battery swapping tech) cannot escape a battery degradation. 1-2 years of driving those vehicle and NIO will start moving to the first place.
You need to have to push the cars beyond 100%, because I knew Tesla has significant buffer on its battery, meaning it could still go for quite some distances, I would like to know about the other cars if they also have significant buffer or not.
NIO ET5 has the nicest design in my opinion and it's very cool that can do battery swap in just a few minutes.
With Nio you can have latest battery technology in the future and the car has a very expensive Lidar!😱😍🥰😭😭😇🙏
4:11 The audacity to include that "storage space" by Hyundai
My wife and I both have an Ioniq 6. She got the AWD version, which has a much smaller frunk. But it's just big enough to store the charging cable. My own Ioniq 6 doesn't have the front engine, so it has a much bigger frunk. But Tesla does frunks better.
In Europe, many AC public chargers do not have cables on them, just Type 2 outlets. So you need your own cable, which can get dirty or wet. So this is ideal place to store it. The cheapest EV Dacia Spring has a shelf for this in 'engine bay' and it is very useful.
Look wise and continuous LONG journey with battery swap, nothing can beat NIO.
battery swap is stupid now that you can recharge 250km in 15min in the tesla
There are reason why you cant easily swap you phone battery. It will have too many points of failure with many moving parts. bad strategy from nio.

@@pindot787a phone costs 500€ and you can trow it away if and when the battery goes bust after a couple of years. Most likely no one will buy a used phone with a messed up battery, and most likely the same is valid for an EV. A NIO owner will always have a new battery with the newest advancements in the battery sector with the advantage of being able to interchange batteries of different capacities according to needs.

That's one of the things they do really well. But I don't like the noise level and overall build quality of these. They are cheap but also feels really cheap as well.
@@zaph1rax they fixed all of these problems on the refresh of the model 3. better built quality with better materials (absolutely no cheap plastic to be found). the noise level and ride quality have been improved a lot.

Great comparison. It would be nice if you put some charts with the information on the cars. When you give info on dimensions, batteries, power output etc. put it in some kind of chart. It is much easier to compear the differences when you have them one next to the other.

Why would you bother with a van like that if you're still going to stay at hotels? I don't bother with hotels just driving a Model 3 with an inflatable bed in the back. It's about as comfortable as a regular bed and more convenient than arranging a hotel every night. Even if hotels were free I'd prefer to travel this way.

I have an ID4, and there are a few more things about it that I think are important to kow. First of all, the ID is much more like a normal car than most EVs. It has a lot of features, but you can also just drive it like a normal car without having to learn anything about all the fancy things it can do. It also provides a premium driving experience. I used to drive Porsches because of the driving experience, but now I am just as happy to drive an ID4.
It's actually not bad car really comfortable very nice drive plenty of tech yeah prefer physical buttons and physical handbrake as the lil handbrake button gives me anxiety I have to look at the lil red handbrake light for while to get my brain to realise it's on.once have over come that it be fine.but otherwise it's good car

It is just boaring to look at. I would never buy it! I wouldn't like to have a chinese made tv set, not to mention a car. Quality vise! Also service, garantie, dealer maintenence and so on. I find german EV-s much more desirable as everybody else. They are just too expencive so far! Im waiting for ID2, but that will be only for the city. Tiguan stays for long distances.

Tesla does the same at 140kph. Must be about limitations of the system being able to work safely and reliably

It's hard to compare when US, EU, China and Australia each has very different market features. In Australia for example 110kph is maximum legal speed. Also, as an EV owner paying only 8cents/kWh for electricity, the issue of consumption and cost is irrelevant. I also can charge free from our rooftop solar. The Sealion 7 is on my list for a possible purchase in late 2025, but as BYD keeps introcucing more and more models, maybe something better could be available by then,

Have an ev 9 light long range for 6 months 11000 miles love it range is better than advertised . Charge to 80% range is 300 seen it as high as 340 charged to 100% and a mile is a mile . Lease payment is less than I would pay monthly for gas . Deal are aggressive on ev 9 . Go drive one
