I remember watching this live. It just seems like this was yesterday. Mikaela has come so far, but this Victory, even so many years ago, just confirmed how great she was then, and how great she is now.
Thank you Sam Seven. I have watched this video a number of times over the last year or so. With all that has happened in the years since this is history worth documenting. As a 6th gen American, I'm a huge fan of Miki but no less an admirer of ALL these awesome athletes. When I watched this unfold back in the day, I couldn't help but feel for the great Tina Maze. Here she was at, or very near, the peak of her spectacular career starting to be unable to answer to the challenge from the shy, upstart from the USA. It must have been wrenching. The good news (from my listening post on the other side of the globe) is Tina has stayed close to the World Cup in a number of ways and has become very friendly and supportive Miki. I trust that when Miki's career peaks and the next star emerges, Miki will be as gracious as Tina.
The best🎉
Bye bye Lindsay 😆😆😆
Meanwhile in March 2023.....
All I see is a black screen with this message: "This video is not available".
I sent youtube a request to remove the copyright claim, they hate my channel lol.
@@samseven8543 Your video was up last night and I watched it. This morning it is blocked again. So, I did get to view it once, and yeah, those were some LOUD crowds. 👍👈
"he's almost into the hay bales"
Absolutely love this!!!
Thank you!
...very strong skier Didier Cuche, very stunned,in most dangerous races,i think it's single one skier who doesn't lose control in dangerous races... Technich and courage...!!!
Even with that error in the second run, there was no way that she gonna lose this one.
Cuche goat of the Streif 🙃
Slopestyle way cooler!!!
Ja! Sehr gut! Viel Spaß! Ich will in der Alpen skifahren!!!
Beat Feuz wieviele Podium 6?
2016, 2018, 2019 und 2020 je Zweiter, 2021 zweimal Erster und 2022 nochmal Erster. Also insgesamt 7.

Thank you so much for posting this video 😁🏅❄️
Of course! Thanks for watching!
there was a time i never thought Beat would get it done on the Streif
Legend has it Didier Cuche was born in tucked position
So many big skiers didn't win Streif - like Svindal etc. and Dressen was a huge upset
Cuche the fucking Legend #hoppschwiiz 🇨🇭
This track gave me anxiety
If feel so sad for clarey, always on the podium or close but never the winner...
Cuche was like a bullet, omg so good and strong❤
Hell of a Ride🙏💪❤
19:45 "noch 3, noch 2, noch 1, jaaaa" as a German, i remember watching this live, it was incredible.
Oh ja erinner mich auch noch, das erste Mal das ich Kitzbühel live geschaut hab, das war soo geil :D
The after party was unreal
Cuche and His Ski Flips 😍
In this Sport, Austrian commentators are simply the best
Agreed 100%
Paris run was just so smooth
Winner? Are you crazy? If you can make it down in one piece you are a winner!
🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
How did she make up that much time? You think Maze got tired or did she just throw it?
Maze was exhausted by this race., with 34 World Cup and 5 World Championship races behind her, she was never the same again. But Shiffrin, with probably as many days on the snow that season as Maze, did a "classic Shiffrin" and just let it all out on the second run. As an anonymous Martial Arts coach once said: "Get your butterflies flying in formation". She did that. By the 2915 season, winning by over 1 second became standard operating procedure.
The Oscar movies event is near friends, l can understand you, Mika is already such a gorgeous diva, she needs no further popularity, but next time you have to take a look her supporters, making a nice Hollywood movie on her fans. Up there are a lot of naughty squirrels drinking so much Forst beer that they need Minions to hold their head up, you have no idea how crazy they are for the skiing speed doing the turns in the old oak trees on the skiing border sides, if you are having fun to dig them out, they used cups of beer so giant they can have a pool bath with big high foam on the top, bad rumors say the beer, you know, it's cereals juice in the end, it's very healthy for the skin as well that's why naughty alpine squirrels are so cocky about their precious hair. I do not mind if you ask for backups ask them Avatar ghosts if they want to get involved so we could share next time other seven billion dollars incomes as business partners, why not? We pull out the famous Jewish inspiration and buy ourselves the Haiti land once for all, Jews have a strong sense of property, l love papers and having posessions, then we go out skiing Haiti as well, yeah, what a wonderful world this could be guys, can you imagine it?
🇨🇭💪
Baby Miki made Tina retire.
Not for two more seasons. She won the GS and DH globes in 2014 and was still getting podium finishes in 2015 at the age of 31.
downhill skiers consider it more important to win the race here on the streif than the cup!
So true! If you ski for Austria and don't win in Kitzbuhel they forget about you!
Nice compilation.Very nice job.Thank you for your time sir!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Thanks for watching!
Seems like that kicker in the transition between Carousel and the Steilhang showed up in 2017 and has gotten bigger since.
I noticed that, it adds another sense of danger to this course lol
epic compilation, just epic. How many times Clarey came SO close and left down the podium in Kitz
Cuche gröscht goat
Golden ages
extraordinaire
Kitzbuehl is Swiss
its in tyrol in austria
@@LLJMproductions but always win by a swiss
Would have been amazing if you picked the version from the austrian commentator at Austrian Racers. These commentaries are just pure goosebumps. You really feel the energy there. But still amazing compilation.
Honestly I could only find Austrian commentary for Reichelt's win but the quality was poor so I stuck with Universal Sports lol
Not so many austrian winner in this video.. only 2
Shows you how dominant Couche was.
« Cuche », « couche » in french means diaper 😂
It still surprises me to this day that Didier Cuche only won 1 olympic medal.

У Петера Фила с самого начала была какая то тактика...
На мой взгляд, у него был лучший результат в карьере, когда он выиграл здесь.
All the deep emotions and incredible comebacks from heartbreaking adversity, it is a SHAME that Mikaela's grand achievements get no or little USA press. Just think of all the little girls who can be moved to do whatever they want when it comes to sport. For so long, womens' lives had been planned out for them before they were born. We've come a long way with Title IV etc. but not far enough. Naysayers spout that there aren't "ratings" for her races. How would they know? The major networks have never tried. And they don't want to! It is just easier to keep doing the same things over and over again, because that's what the stockholders want, no risk. When ironically, the further amplification of a woman's accomplishments like these could enrich the lives of their own daughters.
Incredible athlete!!!!! She doesn’t get enough coverage. Can’t wait to see her 100 victory and beyond
I can't for it either!
When asked to comment on a great victory and a record winning performance. What does she say, “I would like to thank the course workers for giving us a great course “, it’s not all about me me me. That’s what makes her special.
She is so lovely!
This! Such a humble person. When she got her 80th win in Semmering she was more excited for Paula Moltzan's first slalom podium!
She is freakin great. GOAT
