When I was a kid maybe 50 years ago, I found a box of these in the attic of my great aunt and uncle's attic. Freaked me the heck out, but I couldn't put them down.

Fun stories Jason. I didn’t have many of the old black and white magazines as a kid. Maybe one or two Creepy or Eerie. But I did love the stories and the art.

Great video. The Fass magazine "empire" is interesting - those pre-Code books were as gruesome as Hell. I wonder how much money Fass made from his creative republishing scam?

It always made me angry that my local comic store refused to buy these unless they were part of a collection with regular comics. Made it extremely difficult to find any.

Great video mink, the off beat weirdness of your archive is remarkable, and the art of those bob hope comics looks like the artist was a fan old comedies and old school news paper strips.

Stupendous video. I was never a fan of Ditko's Spider-Man but I'd sure swap my spleen for any one of those early ASM issues. As for those Heavy Metals - I bought a lot of them off the shelf as a teenager. When my mother found them she thought I had turned into a European influenced sex pervert with good taste in art. I was never influenced by Europe; I was already a pervert with good taste in art.

You definitely need old comics! You will then experience the awe, mystery and mirth of American comics legends of the past! You will than understand the present and future with this great past history!

Another fun video! I too am on a journey of replacing the comics I sold off years ago and your ASM 21 beats my oldest #25 by four issues. Those Lois Lane issues were great. I need a Secret Wars 8 (and a box of money) too. 😂 A lot of fun issues in the video. Thanks as always

The first comic books I ever started reading and BUYING were Sad Sack Comic Books.

I’m way behind in my watching but I finally caught this awesome entry. Loved watching your review of all these old Archie comics. Crazy how different the girls looked in your oldest issue. They did a lot of kissing in these comics, even Jughead and Dilton to my surprise. Love those monster issues. And kissing there too? Crazy! Thanks again. I’ll have to look in You Tube soon and see what else I might have missed.
