Race tier list for any rpg game is never too funny
oh yeah oh yeah 😂😂😂😂😂 i would LOVE to see you dancing with one single bulk with sticky fuel with PP epc on haz5x3, oh yes, i would love to see you defend no single target driller build, you, the “class specific role”🤪🤣 religion 😂😂😂 try that one on dreadnought, try on caretaker, try it on EDD caretaker with dreadnough secondary, you will become that one scout who think running from bugs is the way to go; and i will just ping on you every time in that same mission with VIM + PP epc having whole cave mined in seconds and every enemy killed in seconds just to laugh as much as i can looking at person who thinks having 500 hours grands himself an ability to “explain” weight of every OC, oh, yes after you will lose the mission i will order leaf lover special loser green tea, and another one after 3 seconds, and another one and another one and another one just to make you that one mod that allows me to do that will make you never be able to order red rock blasters to “try this “””””insane”””””” meta” again, hoping you will ban me so that i will never meet such useless driller every again, and yes, while you can only be on zip line, i can jump around corestone actually dealing with it in solo on haz5 full team damageresistance, because i deal damage, and you can only hope for help from your team 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 dont mine gold, you will not have enough time to do the mission before your will run out resups 😂😂😂😂😂
cryocannon is nowhere near mid in terms of team ammo consumption optimization for haz5+ you either took cryo or wave of pretorans drains your entire team ammo to zero
just admit that your favorite color is green :^) Just a joke. Nice tierlist. Rock and Stone!
I love scorching tide. It's like the big red button named "F**k everything in that general direction". Perfect emergency killer, if something needs to be killed right now. Also charge of scorching tide one-shots praetorian, if all flames hit that poor bug. No difference, from what side, just straight away one-shot. Feels like some kind of extremely powerful shotgun, just with small flames instead of pellets :^)
one thing that you miss about Overcharger is that the direct damage can crit, but mostly that it can benefit from frozen status effect to deal more single target damage than TCF, since radial damage isnt affected by crits or frozen
I usually play as myself 95% of the time. I play battlemage/spellsword/witchhunter.
This is my first real mage playthrough, so I'm excited to see how it goes! I usually play a sword and shield Redguard, so I'm waaaaay out of my element.
Im currently using a mod called Tamrielic Balance. One of the main features is that all movement drains stamina, and how much is drained depends on movement speed, incline and weight. Makes the game much more difficult.
Now that sounds interesting! I will have to do another playthrough after this with that installed! Do you play with any other survival style mods?
@ Im using simple survival mode and trying to get it to mesh with the cc survival mode currently. It adds in the needs to eat sleep and drink, and I like that better than the cc survival needs mechanic, so Im figuring out how to override it to use that while still getting all the other survival mechanics. I also use a disease overhaul to make them a bit more challenging.
@ And archery realism. Makes it where arrows have realistic gravity and speed, they do more damage and npcs actually use arrows and run out.
@@shadowfirehq I forgot about the big one. I have a mod that makes mine and all npcs base carry weight 125, so with survival mode enabled, my base carry weight is only 62. If you can imagine, that changes a lot about how I manage my inventory.
Do you happen to know the name? I like the sound of that mod.
I think spider form allows you to also befriend scorpions and scarabs
Maybe teleport could work like you setting a spawn yourself by clicking on the area or marking the explored parts of the map (possible synergy with map scrolls) to set your destination, so baisically more controll of the spell
Dominate lets you grab 20 crystal golems and cockatrices. Fair and balanced. Btw, magic missle is only 7 mp compared to fireball's 7 or bloodletting's 11. It has fast cast time and insanely high damage. Imo deserves a spot higher, it's a burst type spell which solves your problems if you got fucked and your plan failed. Also, heal and the great version works on your allies so it's a must have for domination spell. Additionally, normal and great healing have same efficiency so they're equally strong. Stoneblood is decent for melee unironically. In that period you can kill anything although sadly doesn't work on cockatrices I think? I would also bump up slow. It's in the holy trinity of slow spells, you have a higher chance to obtain any kind of slow when you play the game because of sheer amount of slow spells in the game so you're almost guaranteed to get slow for minotaur or any other valuable target.
What game is this
The game is called "Barony" :)
The only tierlist video where im happy even though my favourite weapons are at the bottom
Stunsweeper also has synergy with conductive thermals, you can throw it and increace DoT with CT or, probably the most specific usecase of anything ever, you spray dreadnought twins with CT, throw boomerangs and continue to spray them while they do decent damage (somewhat effective against sentinels). This is somehow the best scout grenade against dreadnoughts

Game?
Barony
Goatman needs like 10-20% more fountains or water depending on alchemy skills.
Idc what anyone says. Lure grenades are doodoo. It’s just so unreliable. Every time I toss one of them out, it feels like no enemies are fooled and will just keep attacking me anyways. I’d always rather take plasma bursters or SSG to actually reliably get bugs off me by killing them.
Barony Community is so cozy to be honest
i LOVE class warfare and conflict theory
Watching you is really educational.
Very nice video
I hate dense bio zone just because it's hard to find Bismor even when it's supposed to be the Bismor Biome
I like hover boots because I’m an absolute moron whenever I play scout
An OC that could have the same treatment as turret Arc for the Lok1 is Neuro Lasso, imagine if somehow you could use that OC to interact with your turrets, maybe the enemy with most locks is prioritized by the turrets kinda like hawkeye system and the turrets does increased dmg to locked targets
To piggy back on this idea, going off the "hawkeye" mod, maybe an enemy targeted with the L0K could be hit by your turrets regardless of distance? They would still need line of sight, so I'm not sure how useful that would be, but if your turrets could snipe enemies off the ceiling it would definitely be funny. - Zach
It's impressive how this game always looked solid but it just keeps getting better and better. We need to make Barony more popular so the devs can make fat stacks and give us more updates 🙏 Me, personally, I wanna see a ranged combat update. Maybe introduce vertical aim and you have to hit highlighted weakpoints on enemies to deal solid damage..... Sounds fun but at this point I'm so used to Barony not having vertical aim that it feels like I sinned just by mentioning it (even though it has arrow drop-off)
Being able to snipe bats off the ceiling would be 10/10. I'd like to see another DLC, personally. But I better not say anything more, I plan on making a video about my Barony wishlist soon. Can't spoil the content(tm). - Zach
verticality on ranged weapons would suck on controller tbh. nonetheless, uptade for ranged classes would be amazing because they are kinda weak compared to magic. There was a argument that ranged gameplay is boring and it shouldnt deal much damage, but in my opinion not everyone think like that and having a strong weaponary for ranged would be great because some people just like to shoot with bows etc.
1:00 Nonsense, its extremely helpful, especially to noobs so il do it for you, its cleric. Cleric and archanist. Also vampire top ubermensch race. In fact i had to stop playing it because its just cheatinglets be real here, you can go healer vamp and turn off hunger and literally just strole through the game without a single care in the world and i highly recommend noobs do this for a few runs to learn areas. However even with hunger on its barley any different.
Finally I won't have to carry 5 shields to be able to block anything. This update was real nice
First! Loved the Goblin build, I love magic and summons.
I think leadership should remain in C. It can be helpful (with micromanaging the followers well) early on, but it also makes your ranged guys hit pretty effectively. This includes things you recruit...but also say dominated kobold cultists using bows with speed quivers. It's not nearly as good as dominate, but normal mechanics shouldn't be clearing that high bar. Players have won the game using only leadership followers...which a) you can't do with swimming and b) didn't look harder than winning by just shooting ranged weapons. IMO that's enough to keep it in C.
All good points. Leadership definitely gives a nice boost to your followers move speed as well, with the Dex boosts. And that's a useful tool even for Dominated followers. - Zach
it's worth pointing out that it was always possible for casting to output crazy damage, it's just that it was never worth it until now because it was wildly inconsistent and could not be depended upon because of how fragile books were, so there was always something better you could spend your blessing scrolls on. Stacking blessing scrolls has always been basically how you make anything viable, and up until now it was okay on fist weapons (each blessing scroll meant damage AND AC), okay on ranged weapons but still underwhelming (thrown weapons are the exception, very good if you can bless an entire stack), very good on melee weapons (not very efficient but melee weapons are good even without them), and excellent on Alchemy grenades (Thunderstorm Potions in particular scale the best. Way overkill). In the case of spellcasting, it's basically required in order for it to be relevant past Baron Herx, and obviously if you get a lot of blessings it will become very strong, but the thing is that blessing scrolls are not that hard to come by so it's a very consistent thing to rely on. I'm surprised I don't see more people utilizing blessing scrolls to augment their damage in their Barony runs, it's one of the most consistent ways to get very high damage with how abundant blank scrolls are and the guaranteed feather in the Hamlet if you don't find one before that. You don't even need to go out of your way to walk into the twins fight holding something that's been blessed to +10, or even +20 if you haven't needed to waste any scrolls on charging, repairing, or blessing your armor.
I think a lot of people have the mindset of "oh I won't get a feather until end game, if at all, and this blank scroll is taking up inventory space RIGHT NOW" and then they toss it. At least, I know I used to do that a lot. - Zach
This has by far the funniest video you've guys done, wish I watched this on a bad day, cause it would have made it better.
That's something I'd like to watch with my partner
Just got Micro Conductor. Looking forward to trying it out with both Plastcrete and Spinning Death
Sorry for your loss, hope you'll be able to move on while keeping the memory of them, similarly I had to move to another country and give my pet bearded dragon to a rescue center, he's already getting really old. I'm looking forward to more of your Deep Rock Galactic videos, but I should check out some of your other videos as well, I should branch out as well, same case I did for TF2 to DRG.
Burning and pee in the same sentence doesn't sound very appealing if you ask me.
Sorry, I know this video's a tad old, but I enjoyed it and agree with most of the things you say. Gonna go into a couple I don't though, so bear with me. I feel like ranged gets a bad rap just because it scales slowly. I mean, don't get me wrong, it definitely is weak early on, but as the game goes on, Khryselakatos really starts to punch holes in enemies. My first ranged run I was able to fight Baphomet pretty easily, kill the minotaur duo no sweat, and then had no struggles at all with the remainder of the game. I was actually expecting to struggle with the typical hard enemies in crystal caves and citadel because of resistances, but I was really shocked by how easily I killed them even with a +60% resistance thanks to the inherent armor pierce chance that comes with high perception. I mean, I was literally one-shotting imps in hell with silver arrows. It's weird that you put unarmed low because it doesn't have an artifact weapon because, like, you know you can win the game perfectly fine with any other weapon without finding an artifact weapon, right? My second win was a ninja where I didn't find Dyrnwyn, and, let me tell you, a +19 crystal sword was hitting exactly as hard as I needed it to despite that. Parashu has also been rarer than I've liked, so I've had an axe win with just a crystal axe as well. Although, that being said, the highest-tier fist weapons are harder to find than they should be. In my monk run, I just went with the second tier up (which I also didn't find until Hamlet). This really didn't matter though. Like you said, I had no issues with anything pre-baron, but I also didn't have a problem after that either. Most of your damage scaling as a weapon user comes from enchanting your weapon to kingdom come, and fist weapons have an easier time with that thanks to being able to use both enchant weapon and enchant armor scrolls to do so. The durability actually wasn't a problem for me at all either, thanks to the fact that fist weapons have a lower chance to degrade when dealing damage compared to all of the other weapons at the same skill level. Like I said, I didn't find a fist weapon upgrade, but the reality is that I didn't find any other fist weapons period, and they simply did not break before I was able to upgrade them. I imagine if you're tanking damage too much, this wouldn't be the case, but monks in particular also start with block skill, which can help to mitigate that. I'm a bit surprised you have such a negative opinion on it, to be honest, because I usually see people place monks pretty high on their personal tier lists. Edit: OH and also the fact that you get polearms legend bonus just by simply having decent skill is kind of insane. It was happening on nearly every punch in the gnomish mines for me and made it so I could basically just walk backwards and repeatedly charge crits vs. trolls. Again with mace, basing the placement entirely on the passive ability of the artifact mace feels weird. I mean, the important part of Sharur isn't it's ability anyways 90% of the time; the important part is you just found an endgame-level weapon in the second zone in the game. The abundance in particular makes it extremely coveted to consider being a Mace user. I just had a run where I literally had four sharurs in the game (two from potato kings, one from anansi, and one from the mysterious merchant.) I mean, with axes, you have to get a little lucky to even see Parashu at all; with Drynwyn, you have to get a little less lucky, but it still doesn't appear in a shocking amount of my games. Polearm and ranged are the only ones that are guaranteed, but with Khryselakatos, you either get it pretty late or you have to brave one of the hardest zones in the game relative to when it appears, and with Gungnir, you just get it fairly later than all of the other weapons on average and have to brave the Minotaur to do so (although obviously Gungnir is really strong and polearms are really good; no argument there). I also disagree on your point about them falling off as the games go on. I mean, yes, the resistances of enemies eventually do get worse for them and better for other weapon types, but the game's difficulty in general also falls off as the game goes on. In general, the hard part of the game is exactly the first two areas that the mace benefits. Also, in single player, every character is going to be doing a fair bit of casting as the game goes on anyways, so it's a bit silly to call Sharur's passive useless, imo. I also feel like casting in b is weird when it is a pretty strong enabler for magic itself. I've had multiple runs where I am able to get casting to 100 way early with the use of a circlet, and then ALSO get magic to 100 for free thanks to the forcebolt. I'm not saying it should be right beside magic, but it not existing (or a different legend bonus) would absolutely make magic as a playstyle and the magic skill worse overall. I mean, it feels weird to place magic higher in general just because they are practically the exact same skill. And, to go a step further, you'd almost rather have only your casting skill get pumped (like, let's say, if there was a scroll that trained any 1 skill or something), because then the forcebolt enables you to max magic as well. Perhaps I didn't listen well enough when you were talking about some preliminary things about your placements at the start of the video, but, again, it just doesn't make a ton of sense to me personally. I know I said I was just going to go over a few I disagreed with, but I'd like to touch on the fact that you are so damn right about blocking. Even in runs where I am pretty committed to the block skill, I usually only end with about 70 or so because, holy hell, it is annoying to train when you get past 40. Shields just break so incredibly easily and it's impossible to keep an abundance of shields on you just to do this if you're also doing alchemy and/or tinkering. And yeah, it's a good skill, but often I feel like I simply don't need to get it to 100. The legend bonus only making it so they don't degrade rather than giving a special effect means it's not super tempting and I'm often pretty durable post-baron anyways thanks to high ac, health, and a big ol' stack of potions Sorry, I know I typed a whole lot, but realistically, I just disagree with those four and, also realistically, never by more than 1 tier. Also liked and subbed even though I don't see a ton of Barony videos on your channel recently, but I imagine the game probably gets stale with fairly long breaks in between big updates. Either way, keep up the content. I'll be keeping an eye out for when the next update drops this month.
I tried my best to answer some of this comment in a new video that'll be coming out in a few days. The recent update has sort of changed the placement on (at least) 3 of the skills, for me. Thanks for the indepth comment, it gave me a lot to think about. Short answer though, in the meantime: My intention wasn't to hinge the rating of a weapon skill purely on the artifact weapon, but when comparing the hypothetical power of a build, I prefer to focus on a "complete" version of it. Sort of "steel-manning" the build concept. In a scenario where you get everything you want, Swords are probably the strongest weapon skill in the game. Polearms, however, are more consistent. You're guaranteed to get the artifact weapon for it, which is points in its favor. Sharurs bonus is great, but only for specific playstyles, and it should be noted that mana regen has a hard cap, meaning it might not even be a USEFUL bonus after a certain point. Unarmed is, intentionally, a bit weaker than the other weapon skills in terms of damage output. Yes you can beat the game with it, but you can also beat Skyrim with a rusty spoon lol. Unarmed is also given a lot of credit, imo, because the only way most people encounter it is via the Monk class. Monk starts with a massive boost to Unarmed, and is pretty much the only class that makes Unarmed feel really really strong until late game, but at that point I usually prefer to just switch to a different weapon type entirely. To clarify though, Unarmed is fine. You can absolutely win the game with it, and if you enjoy it you won't hate yourself by the end, but it's weaker than the other weapon types by a fair bit. In the new Compendium entry, the game itself even calls this out. To me, C tier is the "average tier" and D tier is the "a little weak tier" so I didn't think putting Unarmed in D was that bad. I did take into account how other people are likely to see the tiers in my more recent video, though. We love a good compromise around here! Ranged is, imo, overly reliant on special ammo. The artifact bow is basically necessary late game unless you want half your inventory to be ammunition. It's still a good skill, but weak early game + reliance on special ammo + slow leveling = just average, to me, even if it does scale to a decent level by end game. I'd like to see the "types" of ranged weapons get a look-over by the devs. Make Arbalests a bit better, Longbows a bit more common, and Shortbows a bit faster, maybe. But yes, they do scale pretty well, my friend loves playing ranged characters when we do duo runs (he is afraid of taking damage). I won't touch on Casting here because let's just say things have changed a LOT with that skill, recently, and I think you'll be preeeeetty happy with my changes. Again, thanks for the comment, sorry for the long wait on the reply! - Zach
I'm doing a goblin merchant run currently. I had casting (and thus magic) 100 before temple and haunted castle, just from staves + books. Tons of books in inventory regardless of that too. Missing on memorizing spells is an obvious downside, but there's definitely still value in getting spell capabilities to 100 and picking up force bolt + dominate. Goblins/other stuff get pretty gnarly with bows at leadership 100. Includes dominated kobold cultists later on too.
8:38 😉
So sorry about all the deaths. Your cat, specifically 💔 And looking forward to what you have planned
15:18 a gang of praetorians jump you when you go down a dark tunnel
IMO, casting should be more rated, agree tho, not an S for sure but neither an B. I mean the FreeForcebolt spam is very strong, if u go vampire u are like lvl 100 with levitation so sooo early in the game. If u go monk, at least on early (im not a veteran) u will always have something to fight with, either barehand, or forcebolt spam. Simple but effective. Nice video!
I think you should've capitalized on TEF + pheros more by shooting into a cluster of enemies, especially focusing on a praet/guard until they heat up. The main reason why would be the heat spreading, doing good damage and probably even finishing off a lot of grunts to take off some of the load. Also, you wanna "edge" TEF by shooting almost until overheat, letting it cool off by ~20%, then shooting close to overheat again. That's because the closer to overheat, the more damage you do, I think even doing double at some point. And yes, heat management takes a while to really learn, so don't focus TOO much on it. :p Your upgrades were pretty spot on, optimal for TEF except for maybe taking rate of fire instead of proj speed. Video was fun to watch and I look forward to the next one. The post-commentary felt better than in the driller vid. R&S ♥
nishanka with flame bolts and eletric bolts and piss bottle
I am so surprised how often I hear people say the Autocannon is bad unless you use Neurotoxin. I personally find the auto cannon to be the best weapon choice for dealing with large hoards of enemies especially if you take splintering shells or carpet bomber. I also think the last modification you can take allowing you to fear enemies or grant you 50% damage reduction at max rate of fire is extremely powerful. Because it can deal with huge groups of enemies so well, it is also just really ammo efficient. In my mind, Minigun serves the purpose of melting each target individually really well as well as stun locking enemies, but doesn't compare to the autocannon in terms of wave clearing. Tell me if Im wrong
Im playing solo 95% of the time so Hollow Bough is something I wait for map refresh, if I have missions there. Maybe it's just bad luck, but most of my death's in the game from this biome. I cant find any nitra most of the time, so I dying while fight hordes with pickaxe. Only possible way to play this biome for me is Scout, thanks for flares.

no way born ready is in situational
20:57 "idk maybe play scout." The worst argument ever made about turret whip, sorry dude, but i don't wanna completely rely on my turrets for dps, plus i just don't find that shit fun
