Great match up with Edie and Nico. I wonder if they ever met! I do believe they were in some of the same circles Little Edie was a Warhol muse.
I wish she could've had her own life as a young woman.
This movie was an absolute masterpiece. Spike nailed every aspect of that heatwave blackout summer. Closest anyone has come to exposing the elite Untermeyer Park cult rituals. Has stood the test of time. And now for the (ar)rest of the show!
Wow😲💜🌷
Jackie Kennedy's first cousin
She’s quite frankly “ beyond camp “.
How did she remain so beautiful?
I feel Nico and Edie would have gotten on well.
This movie was garbage. And if anyone knows about that time it was me. And his storyline sucked. And his characters sucked. Main character is a Latino pretending to be an Italian. He doesn’t look Italian. And who wore a Mohawk back in my neighborhoods that I hung out in the Bronx. We all had nice haircuts and disco clothes. And this was months before Saturday Night Fever. Why not write about how this piece of trash affected our lives. I went looking for this piece of garbage and if we would have found him, he would still be recovering from the beating we would have given him. And I don’t want to hear that Michael Imperioli was a writer for this movie. He was 10 years old when I was in my TBird going around the neighborhoods with my buddies.
I think Adrian Brody's character being the main character would make this movie even better.
I've seen Grey Gardens more times than any other movie. I adore both Edie's. These Days and Nico's vocals fit so beautifully with these film clips.
I hated the ending I wanted him to make it so bad.
Thank you so much for this. I love Edie. She makes me love myself.
The original Alternative girl!!
Come On! 13K, where the hell has everybody been? damn this pump's you up, especially in the movie theatre. I was amazed the first time I saw this.
This movie came out in 1990 it was during the rise of gangsta rap and Abel Ferrara had Schoolly D on the soundtrack to match the dark and gritty vibe of NYC at the time
we all like to think our best sides are a little Edie
Thanks for posting this! I have loved this film since I first saw it on TCM or AMC back in the 80s
Lil Edie had beautiful soul ❤ Her mother controlled her love for her. Big Edie was not nice to her daughter.
That is such a modern-looking dress, that style would be easily wearable now!
What song is playing ?
Wow this actually fits this ending even though I love the she said ending this gave me chills
Spike was so hot in this movie
Tyrone was angry because he wanted to be in her place, dancing with the heartthrob. hahahaha
Brilliant film, tissues at the ready
Little Edie is so beautiful.
Super underrated movie. Amazing cast. Soundtrack. Cinematography. Dialogue. All spot on. Spike knocked it out of the park on this one!
Wonderfully edited and lovely Nico singing, thankyou x
Happy Pride 2024 ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Be your authentic self, even if it’s a staunch character
she was truly an aristocrat in the higher sense of the word, every bit as much as her cousin, if not more
Does anyone recognize the scarves? What are the designers or brand names?
J doubt that they're of any particular designers or brand names but maybe im wrong
Watch out. There is some nut case on here Frank Battaglia who the Beale family have tried to distance themselves from. He will try and sell you pictures.. a scammer lowlife living in the Philippines who has a $65000 judgement in Hawaii from people who accused him of being inappropriate with their 8 year old son. He's posting here.. beware.
@@Breavis she actually looks a little like Abe.. except with a bigger mustache
As long as there are sidewalks.. ❤❤❤
I love her so much. ♥
1977 was definitely a divided and scorching summer of NYC…Son of Sam drugs disco studio 54 rock and roll cbgb and Yankees dysfunctional not to mention the king of rock and roll dead need in go on.
Elvis' death really adds to the darkness of the 70s. The United States was really another country than the post war boom it had been
So-called "Kay Francis" wasn't even her real name. She was born Katharine Edwina Gibbs. Apparently she changed her birth name as the result of pressure by 'Hollywood' Moguls & Studios?! Allowing their deceit, misrepresentation, anticipated greater recognition & love for the almighty buck, shows disrespect of family name & heritage.
She was a really beautiful and special woman, even in her adulthood. If I was alive during that time, I would really like to know her🌹
I love her way of speaking so much. The accent, the gentleness, the flourishes. When she said something, she meant it.
Little Eddie had the most sweet laugh…
Amongst the deterioration of the house Edie always looked glamorous, love her ❤
Blondell and Cagney are my favorite old Hollywood screen couple. It's too bad she could not rise above the type casting. She was very talented.
this is beautiful
You kept a good soul through out your life. With no one coming to your aid when you and your mother needed help the most. My heart goes out to you and your mother. You sweet sweet Lady....
Iconic🥰
She was very sweet and kind.
It surprisingly works. The hero has won, but it's not a happy ending.
Glad I had chance to meet and photograph her
She’s sounds like such a cool person
Gringa, española e irlandesa, ole Rita
During these years it was like she was just waiting for her freedom- to be free from a very controlling mother . Thank god little Edie lived long enough to have that freedom towards the end of her life in Florida ❤❤❤
They never harmed anyone. They just wanted to stay in their home and live their lives in the past together. God Bless Their Sweet Souls.❤️❤️
LOL. the fuck you say never harmed anyone. How well do you know that family? really how well do you know?
