    Why is whites shape at 2:12 better than at 1:56?

    • @simplebaduk
      @simplebaduk 5 месяцев назад

      The one at 1:56 is too heavy and has a cutting point left. White probably has to spend another move to secure that cutting point. Overall, stones are too heavy. Everything is touching each other. When reducing opponents, we have to try to avoid being heavy like 1:56 and be light like in 2:12. Much more flexible.

  • @64standardtrickyness
    @64standardtrickyness 5 месяцев назад

    3:35 I thought the proper move for black is descend at 2-2

    • @simplebaduk
      @simplebaduk 5 месяцев назад

      When black has a stone on the left side, black can descend at 2-2. In that specific case, black doesn't have any stones on the left side, so black has to form a tiger's mouth to be safe. The first rule of attacking is to keep yourself safe first.
