I’ve seen someone do a video of a world that is just Primordial caves. I don’t know if it’s a separate mod or if it’s a option in the Alex’s caves mod since I haven’t downloaded it yet.

I’m kinda glad they didn’t get their grubby hands on white-eyes. He has so much potential to be a “subtle disturbance in your world that messes with your head” type mod, but I know full well that if a mod gets made about him, they’ll just turn him into generic “tall sharp teeth lanky man!!!”

I'd say there is a 6th key factor you didn't go over, and it's the tension and build up NOT ending in basic player death, because thats just annoying and creates a boring thing that startles you, as you said creepy moments that are simply eerie and unsettling are much more effective and memorable than just "BOO, you're dead. Now do it again"

Sadly Im a bedrock player, but the og creator created a cave dweller mod on bedrock. It uses more of a paranoia style of horror. Not to mention he learns from you.

See, I'm a person who only gets scared when completely immersed in the experience. Caving in Minecraft can be scary, not because a Creeper can fall on top of you out of nowhere and kill you, but because you are so immersed in the ambiance that you forget you are playing Minecraft, your brain takes over and makes you think "But what if..." And there isn't a greater fear than the fear of the unknown. I would find more "terrifying" a mod that tells you It adds "something" but in the end It doesn't, because you won't stop thinking about the "what ifs". I find Dweller mods to completely miss the point, a mob that randomly kills you out of the blue isn't scary, It is an annoyance, and when you are annoyed you are not immersed, you know you are playing Minecraft with a mod with the goal of annoying you. The Warden was great at first, but the fear is quickly replaced by the tension derived from not wanting to trigger the spawners, and It ultimately disappears once you have removed the sensors or spawners. I haven't seen the Creeking or whatever it is called because nothing was added in that update that makes me want to return to play the game, this new mob sounds like an annoyance to me more than anything. Some time ago I saw a video about a mod that looked promising, It showed the person in a forest with a pretty strong storm, the vibe was perfect, until this Dweller mob just appeared out of nowhere and rushed to the player and oneshotted them, great. The good atmosphere of the stormy forest with the low visibility was immediately broken by a fast moving mob you can't avoid that kills you in one hit, what a waste. From the recommended mods I want to try Manic because It looks fun to play. I would like to see more mods that focus on creating a more immersive and spooky atmosphere via sounds and visibility, I don't think "Dweller" mods can be scary unless they appear VERY RARELY and focus on psychologically messing with you, not knowing when they will finally show up and not knowing what they can do. The screaming mobs that rush at you and kills you in one hit will never be scary, they are nothing but an annoyance.
