for the elk i found that standing near its butt while hitting it helps, it takes some time for them to turn so when your behind them you can keep staggering them with your melee weapon(use melee weapons that can stagger) as they turn to face you those antlers are worth 100 reps, thats quite a lot so its worth, but when i read the comments, molotovs seem like the less risky option, and makin them are cheap too

no idea how this guy from 6 days ago did it. First try - i went inside, wolf start talking, when he's done, i've put my weapons on the ground right next to the door, i relised that i'm not sure what did i put on the ground so i picked everything back and remove from my eq the importat items again, then i put rest of my stuff in "assistant". Nothing happened, so i put my weapons in the small box with assistant in it, after that it started, but the door to small box were close now, so it didn't work. Second try - before i even went truly inside, i left my gear right next to door, then wolf started talking, i removed rest of stuff and gave it to assistant, again - nothing happened. I have no idea why it didn't work 2 moths ago, just to work for a while about 6 days ago just to stop working again, but... yap, that's how it is now i guess... (btw sorry for my English)

Thanks for this short guide. Im replaying Darkwood on PS5 to get the Platinum and this was the last Chapter 1 Trophy left. I already have gotten the hardest Trophies (Merciful & No Sleep For The Wicked) and thought that this one was also gonna be pretty hard. Turns out that it was pretty easy. Now I only need to eat the Mushroom Granny, Survive Wolfman's Ambush & Burn The Talking Tree and then i have finally 100% Darkwood. Something I failed to do on the PS4 Version since I never was able to kill the Black Chomper in the Grave Dream something I did on the PS5 Version first try lmao.

Thanks this really helped this was the last achievement i needed to get 100%

i did the same as u.. and my Backpack never appeared!!! never. then i truely gave everything to assistant and after that ofc it started

i'd say that the most cost-efficient way to kill Elks is via Molotovs since they're so cheap to make and easy to craft. An Alcohol bottle can be bought from Piotrek for 30 rep, Rags can be get for 14 rep and Matches can be get for 6, totalling 50 rep, meaning that if you do kill an Elk with just a Molotov, you'll have +50 rep at the end. Just throw it at it and the impact damage will take ~50% of it's HP out, then just stand right next to the fire and dodge whenever it charges at you, so that it repeatedly gets set on fire over and over again.
