@@DiceyExploits Yeah self-promotion is a whole other thing. Have you considered entering the Kickstarter scene? Your review quality would stand out and earn you subs pretty quick I reckon.

Also we take the feedback into account about the "special kinda white guy" feeling to some of the practices - but there's only so much you can cram into one game and we were already being told off for the length of the game ''^_^ Not to mention, as a team of four white folks - we aren't the voices that the world should be listening to when it comes to racial inequality. We are listening to BIPOC voices and doing what we can with our privilege to further their messages.

I'm glad it at least raised a smile! That would certainly be an exceptional add-on, and considering the well intended research already on display throughout the game, one that would be very much on point and a great addition, which in turn certainly helps with the second comment raised. Post-game feels so integral to Earth Rising, and researching how this adds up afterwards helps so much after building bureaucratically bulky characters that can, in game, mechanically alter them with relative ease. It would certainly be odder to have certain practices have different rules to overcomplicate the whole game (and therein render my original appraisal of ease of access worthless), so for the benefit of the game it makes sense, and had me doing my own research afterwards, something that will totally benefit from that info booklet! Hopefully, given your clear understanding of the issues, there's room for another title from SD&R focusing on these practices!

The rules state to replace the weapons with them, but you can easily house rule a game to either swap out the locations or even add the motives on as a fourth stage. The latter is something of a challenge though, so definitely lean towards the lower difficulties if that's what you go with!

The way I play is with both the weapons (stage 3) AND the motives (stage 4). However, instead of everyone requiring the motive to win, I make the motive a bonus for people who get to the end early. Each player gets *one* guess at the motive, and if anyone gets it right, one set of who-where-what cards is removed for the final phase. This makes it a little more challenging for the people who get to the end really early, because there will be more possibilities, while people who get there with fewer turns have a narrower set of possibilities to choose from. These were (mostly) the rules the original Polish edition of the motive cards came with, and I find them to be a fun little twist without being too punishing.

Yeah, had I found a decent way to present those cards, I would've most likely been left out of pocket and energy tracking down each pack on launch, let alone the random promos out there. ...I hope you're not a completionist. If so, ignore that promo comment. They don't exist, I swear.

Thanks! Despite what the length between videos might say, it's good to be back! Yeah, I was so keen to do something on it when I got it, but talking about it felt like kicking a beloved pet at points, and the price was pushing folks away as is so I didn't really see an urgency to step in and deter. Really glad it's at an accessible price now though so that those without my pickiness can come in and enjoy it!

All of the expansions are good! I’d say choose one with characters you’d most like to play. I have all the expansions and I honestly can’t choose which is best.

There’s also a new expansion coming out on February 28, Despicable Plots, which features Gaston, Lady Tremaine, and the Horned King, so take that into consideration if you will. But I’d recommend any of them, they’re all fun.

Ah, thanks, I'm glad you enjoy them! To be fair, I think everything needs a bit of a polish, but as you said, resources are a bit fine at the moment! I do run it though a bit of post, compression and normalisation, but that mic is years old and I can never find a decent place to put it without it kicking up a bit of a fuss. Once I'm able to, I'll likely be hiding a Blue Yeti somewhere outside of shot, so will bookmark this comment in my head!

It took a lot of restraint not to use the app's full blown, frankly overdramatic orchestral blast that occurs in the endgame.

Given the lack of increase in quality, it's like I never left.
