May I ask why is the appoggiatura at bar 2&4 played before the beat instead of on the beat? Thank you very much .
For ornaments, they are played ON the beat if you are playing early periods pieces (baroque or early classical ) but Granados is a 20th century composer with a late romantic style, ornaments are often play before beat.

It's probably just me, but I am not a fan of playing a pop song's vocal line on the piano. Pop song vocal lines are often full of repeated notes and melody lines that barely move in pitch. They sound much better sung I think. I suspect this is intended to make it easy for the listener to sing along. That said I am definitely not a confident singer and would avoid singing for an exam performance.
@@emmaatkinson4334 well this is how the exam piece is like on the book. One cannot actually sing along during the exam but in their hearts though! I guess thats the difficult that you have to convey a feeling of singing when the piano is your voice!

Why do exam pieces sound so tedious and boring? When we hear piano music in general it often has a feel good factor about it, but exam pieces, definitely not.
I guess that's why I try to make exam pieces fun! Students wouldn't know exam pieces are all origianally not composed for exams! Sigh.
