I can feel this, i was also scolded by teachers and even by my own mother every day, yelled and screamed at for nothing most of the time. It mentally kinda fucks you up, your emotion responses become unnatural because the fear with human interactions from that trauma causes you to become distant, not by a choice but by forces outside your control. My little sister ended up becoming extremely socially isolated she has been diagnosed with schizoid personality disorder and our past experiences have caused this to happen. Both of my little sisters were in mental hospital at one point in life, life i cruel sometimes, some are born to become a victim of their living circumstances. I've tried so hard to surpass my past trauma and a new trauma i've acquired from living alone in my small apartment, it causes issues within your head long term (I've lived here for several years alone). Take care everyone, compassion in life is important, even after you've faced some bad things in life never become complete cynic.
